  1. Thanks for the information , I will need to give it a better look . Just noticed besides the arm both shock mounts are broken but did find the shock in the box . I saw Rcmart has the driver , the part number is 19000307 but did not see the vents on there . Is there a different part ? Thought I saw two bumpers and wings in the box , will have a look when I get home . Did the kit come with some double's?

  2. I saw this picture posted on craiglist over the weekend for an estate sale , listed were rc toys and games . It was a hour drive and I also would not be able to leave until late in the afternoon , after getting home from work . I actually decided not to go at first but my curiosity got the best of me , invited the wife and kid for a road trip and off we went .

After hearing are we there yet a couple time and arriving 15 minutes before the estate sale ended , this is what I was happy to find . I'm sure there was alot more that I missed judging by all the extra controllers and random rc parts but it was still there sitting in the corner , looks like the Willy has a broken front arm and servo saver . Would like to get it running again , will any of the current parts work and will the current driver fit ? Also found a Tamtech , it was $4 for the Tamtech , $4 for the controller and $10 for Willy . The pricing was odd , some items were cheap some I thought were expensive . I believe the arcade game controller above the Willy was $250 .

  3. Thank you , tighten it down and put a little blue thread locker on the screw and it seems to be working . I'll have to order a body and take it to the park with my son for a run . So far I've enjoyed testing it around the house , did not expect it to be so quiet...recalling having a Hotshot that was rather loud . Impressed by the acceleration from the Trinity motor and 4wd drivetrain , theTamiya 1200mah battery actually still lasted about 5 minutes . Had a big grin on my face and kept telling my wife " this car is over 20 years old " . Still have to work on the radio and esc setting , when using the brake's it jump into reverse almost instantly .

  4. Thanks guys, ordered, received and installed the Robinson 19t pinion and bearings . It's was good to see the Avante running again but I did encounter a problem . Did tighten the center diff before install but after a few run's it has already loosened again . Appreciate any recommendation on rebuilding the center diff , how tight should it be ?

  5. Those Clodbusters are amazing . If you like the vintage look , Sassy made a metal chassis that pop up on ebay occasionally or the current Sassy style chassis on ebay are very nice . Just built this using mostly available parts , probaly not very scale but I wanted it look like the old school clod from the 80's and 90's . The orange one has a ccp chrome chassis and several Esp part's .

  6. Made some progress on the buggy this weekend . Replaced the gear box due to a crack were the bearing and H-gear shaft sits , possibly why I had found it with the gearbox disassembled . I need help with the bearing size that goes into the H-gear , could not find it in the manual . The drive gear also appears to be 48 pitch with 66t , is this the correct size , thanks in advance .

  7. Thanks for the information guys , looks like I have an order to place now . Looks like the original owner did a good job building it so rather than a complete rebuild , I would just give it a good cleaning instead . Thanks Thommo , I do plan on running it , find it very interesting how a 25 year old buggy will run .

  8. Saw this Avante at my local hobbyshop on the used rc shelf for $50 , I was surpised to see it since it's usually filled with Traxxas Slash and Revo's . It looks like it wasn't run very much but was missing a few parts . Looked over the online manual and it seems I will need B parts for the gear cover , H parts for the gear and screw bag e for the gear shaft , will the rerelease parts work for this ? The motor mount is also missing , should I just try and locate just the motor mount or buy the entire press parts bag that seems to have a different shock tower with brace and mount . I want to make sure I order the correct parts , any advice is greatly appreciated , thanks .
