  2. I used to go to a big show in London a few years back when I was a kid. It was at Olympia and around christmas time. We're talking 15 odd years ago now though..... God I feel old.

  4. Hi guys- I can make it all weekends bar the 3rd, as we're having our southern crawler bash that weekend. Would be great to put some faces to the gibberish we all type Ryan
  5. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing, and I let you know what you should do in a couple of weeks! Does he have good feedback? Ask for his Medical records?! Oh I dunno. Depends how you approah life as to whether you'll go all out to hang him up to dry (It is your money/ his agreed deal after all) or let it slip (maybe he is ill?) Maybe it's the oldest trick in the book. Hindsight. That's what we def. need here!
  6. Thanks again for the kind comments guys (and girls!). They are actually taken on Hensistbury head. As you look out at it it's the big rocks sticking out of the side of the hill! Really suprised at how good it was... I have Thursday off if anyone fancies a meet up for an early evening crawl? Once you park it's about a 10 minute walk to the area Here's a google linky: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=e...mp;t=h&z=20 Some pics showing the differnt terrain: http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&am...+head&gbv=2 Only problem as it can get REALLY busy on weekends and that with dog walkers and kite flying (honest)
  7. Your "brother" eh? That's you isn't it? On the razz of a weekend!! LOL! Come out- we wont treat you any different! ARGH- now the wheelbase is out by about 14mm. God I hate this $%%^^$"!! Hobby sometimes.
  8. Crikey- They are terrible. May make the effort to get them in focus next time.... Sorry chaps, sit at arms length from the monitor and squint!
  9. What is it with you today and your random pictures?!! Anywho- Here we have the latest rear design (oo-er!) Gone for the panhard rod as the articulation seems good. When I'm happy gonna wrap it all in black heatshrink so it looks a little less 'bling'. Do you think the rods need to be thinner? I first thought yes, but then the axles are so out-of-scale- chunky I dont think they look too bad. Sorry again for the dreadful photos, a better camera will be purchased soon. ( Gonna pretend it's for our upcoming holiday!) Please could I get your thoughts as I'm still not set on the design...
  10. LOL! In the UK we drive on the "right" side of the road!
  11. Do your parents know you're playing on the internet?!! Seriously though, thanks for the comments guys. On the "to do" list is: Get shot of the stoopid cantilever suspension Lower the body Try the original 2.2's on for size Fill it full of scale bits Use it again
  12. Not this time of year- It's too hot in me duffle coat Take her out? Why? What have I done now?!!
  13. LMAO!! Cheers matey. I have Tonight, Wed night and Sat Night put aside for Truck building! Kerri [The misses] has given me a timetable!!
  14. Good luck! Oh I think I have a spare Sport tuned motor which you can have for 10 incl postage. Feel free to PM me. Ryan
  15. Here's another one I quite like: And to show I didn't cheat (The CR-01 really is very good!)
  16. Lol they don't call it "Mudeford Bay" For nothing!!
  17. Mrs Bored wanted to go for a walk. "BOOOOOOOOOOO-RING" I shouted in my head. I have a truck to build, a Mini to repair, a boat to finish, youtube to watch, Tamiya listings on e(vil)bay to scour... So I agreed. As long as I could take my truck and a camera. The trucks not got Dreadys' brilliant scale gear in it but then it wasn't a planned photoshoot. Here are a few pics- Hope you guys like them. (Oh and found an awesome trail/ crawling spot too!!) None of them were posed and to the CR-01's credit did remarkably well. Needs 4 wheel steer though if anything other than scale. Cheers, Ryan http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=e...mp;t=h&z=20
  18. OMG you're a frikken life-saver! That would be awesome. Do you have any of the silly screws that go thru the leaves? (at the ends) Cheers mate.
  19. Thanks for the offer of bits guys- Anything that can help would be appriciated. I have all the leaves, but need the hangers and shackles, links etc. Oh and driveshafts- Cheers guys Ryan
  20. I think that applies to pretty much everything in life eh? (even my fiancee!! )
  21. Yup. Project manager- That's you. Will rob the rock crushers off my CR-01 I recon, and put the CR-01 beadlocks on. Or I might put them on this, but I recon It'll look a bit too 'cartoon'. I have the bonnet- for some reason the previous owner cut it out. Save me masking it up for the black paint I suppose Phone holder jobbies it what I've been searching for. Here's a list of what I need if anyone can help out? Drive shafts Everything to do with leaf spings bar the leaves themselves! (It's all cobbled together at the minute!!) A dash board (dready *cough* hint) Seats A driver (maybe a Wild Wendy?) A whole load of plasicard Loads of other stuff I haven't thought of....
  22. Hi guys and girls, just thought I'd share a few pics with you before I go off out for the evening. My tuber is now a 'sort' of rolling chassis. It has TLT axles, High Lift chassis, Custom tube body and frame, leaf sprung (will be four linked in time, but wanna get it going without all the head scratching!!). Ready is a RC4WD gearbox, with Dready as chief engineer (thanks chief!). If the RC4WD tranny doesnt fit right then I'll try the HPI wheely King one I have, although on first glance looks a little more awkward. At the start really, but it's nice to get something that resembles a truck. HPI stock car wheels on the way (in rusted white!) and Rock Crushers as I think the Mud slingers look a little small. Also the body and frame will mount about 12mm lower, as at the minute it is just plonked on. Determined to finish this one! Thanks guys and comments welcome! Ryan
