  1. terry.sc is right- don't waste your money and save up for the real deal.
  2. Just seen the pics...OMG its freekin awesome! mind if i use them as my screensaver?!
  3. For decals type "7 year vinyl" into ebay search- People advertising make them up and i've used them for my boats. Vinyl is a bit thicker than normal "decals" but great for adding large bits of colour
  4. Does anyone know If TA01/ 02 shells will fit TT01? would love to see if anyone has actually tried it?
  5. Hi guys, gonna bump this post as I'm still looking. I have: Costworth M3 3 door Impreza F40 (need the wingset) If anyone has any others I'd be interested to hear from you. Only new/ unpainted please. Ta
  6. Have you seen how much brushless has come down? I remember when a motor for one of my fast electric hulls was 400, now you can get a decent 540 sized, branded motor for about 60. Cheaper on t' internet the whole set up with electric will prob cost you about 25% more for similar speeds, but once you have all the kit, it's just a case of buying motors and ESC's.
  7. If i Turn off the tranny when using this speed controller then i get them same symptoms that you've encontered. So: 1 make usre your crystals are seated properly in the tranny and receiver 2 make sure the battery flap on the back of your tranny is on ok, and you are getting power 3 make sure no-one else is running your frequency nearby It seems by your post that had it working, so something must have come loose. Now i'm gussing its to do with the transmitter end as cos if the receiver was getting no power then it wouldn't bleep or flash As far as chargers go, you don't really need a specialist one, just a peak charge will do it. For simplicity something by GWS or ripmax will do the trick. Spend about 30 ish and make sure it's peak detect. I'll add you some links later if i remember Ryan
  8. Yeah- With a full tank I either break it or swear at it!
  9. Just e-mail him for total costs in the future, don't boycott him mate, cos at the end of the day you want his bits. He seems like a good seller in every other respect... Think he was trying it on a bit, which isn't right, but happens alot. Guess this is now my 3 pence worth!
  10. Easy choice: Lazy= electric Skint= Nitro
  11. personally i wouldn't.. but that's cos i'm a pleb when it comes to painting. I always thought paint needed a decent 'grip' or key into the surface so i would be worried that (assuming it took to the surface ok) how long it would stay on there. Bear in mind if it did go wrong, the traditional methods of removing paint would then damage the chrome. Stick with what you've got matey
  12. I've used them about 10 times and not had any problems, 1 order taking 4 weeks to arrive... I think it's because my expectations are low. If i've not had the item in 3 weeks then i'll start thinking about it, other than that i think we should all chill the badword out, cos they're a great supplier of Bits for our hobby, and alot cheaper than alot of places. (not getting paid to say this!) Look at his feedback- he's often dispatching 50+ items a day, not including the non-bay related site. Personally i think that's a good effort to get even 10% of it right!!
  13. I still use an old futaba SR unit, as there's nowt wrong with it and i'm cheap!
  14. HAHA!! I know that- at the moment we're waiting for planning permission for a offroad 'buggy' track- Astro terf style. All i have is a BMX track to bash on, and for some strange reason they seem to think the bikes have priority over my fun
  15. I'm sorry that this may go against the grain, but i think the seller was being very honest and up-front. You state that you reveived it quickly and effeciently, but unhappy with his charges. It is a well known fact that people search the internet (including eBay) for a deal, often the lowest price. If this means selling at a loss then that's their business accummen to recoup those losses elsewhere. I always take into account every fee, and often msg the seller for a total cost of something i'm interested in, especially when buying from asia. I think you decided how "fair" the charges were when you pressed the 'bid' button! I think you're just annoyed that you now have 'proof' that it didn't cost him that much to send it to you. Personally i would rather pay more, safe in the knowledge it arrives quickly and in one piece. just my 2 pence worth.....
  16. A locked diff is only any good for rock crawling! It'll handle like a B"$tard! A mate of mine swers by bluetack! bit of slip, but not too much.
  17. When i leave my car/ tranny/ batteries/ whatever at home! Usually by the door.....
  18. Well done! bet you had a great time!
  19. I know you could buy alot for that money- but i don't understand people that buy new in box stuff then put it in the cupboard, only to then hunt for the next one.... But then how much of our hobby is rational?!
