how about running a 550 sized motor on the KBF? anyone done it yet? I was in a similar situation with my TL01B based MT. (see http://www.tamiyaclub.com/xforum/topic.asp...&SearchTerms=a) and I went back to the stock 550 motor for now. Since I don't want the thing to catch fire... again...

whoa... that's whole bunch of info. now I just have to try to understand it all to put it in perspective. good info though... still don't know how long it should take to charge a 7cell 3300 Mah NiMh battery pack using 4.5amps. but, still good info.

any idea what I pinion I should use then? I'm already using a 19t pinion (which I think is the lowest stock pinion). Also, I'm using smaller diameter rims/tires from a wild willy (1.9" rims vs. 2.2" rims). thanks for the advice in advance....

<envy> audia4, I just can't seem to get a King/Super Blackfoot! dayom it! I've been searching for weeks now! I keep losing every ebay auction I try! Anyways, nice looking blackfoot. Funny thing you should mention the cheapo Venom motor. I just posted in another forum that my TL01B monster truck has a Venom 21t motor that's smoking. no literally, it's like it's about to catch fire... Now if I could only get my old Blackfoot (which also has a Venom 21t motor) working... btw, that same motor does seem to do wonders for my lunchbox too!

Okay so the problem is that the motor is smoking? I ran it a couple of times and the motor is smoking badly. It's WAY too hot to touch. What should I do? What have I done wrong? BTW, I can't add a motor heatsink due to the way that the chassis covers the majority of the motor.

sorry, but... I've got a noob question for everyone. is there generally a size difference between NiMh and NiCd battery packs? I just got some 7.2v 3300Mah NiMh batteries from Ebay and they're too big for my Tamiya trucks?
