Cleaned up my man cave/hobby shed.

From what I am led to beleive the M05 ball diff is rubbish. Nobody that I know in Australia is using them. Bin it & use a TA03.

I think it was called the 80's, Frog, Hornet, Hotshot, Atari, Rubiks Cube, Donkey Kong & all that other good stuff that was around then.

Tamiya club is awesome. You get to show your wears & see what everybody has got. Don't forget you can make some friends along the way. Go on do it!!!

Sounds like an awesome idea Willy. Would be great if we had something like Boondal R/C track in Melbourne. It's an old school track w' the smaller jumps etc. that would not be a vintage car destroyer. Maybe this thread will help get some of us vintage fans/collectors together. Knox club race vintage cars but apart from that I'm not sure they do much more, which is a pitty. By the way my name is Damien & I am 39 & living in the beachside suburb of Melbourne called Frankston.

Do you guys run your vintage cars?
Damaniac replied to cannondale1974's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Exactly! I started collecting NIB but found they are very expensive & you just tend to keep looking @ them trying to decide, to build or not to build. Now I just build them, which is the fun part. Buying them is the easy bit. Most of them will be run @ some stage but probably not all. Like Rosey said, it is up to the individual. -
Finally got some time to myself & went down & did a bit more to my on going Re-Re Scorcher. It actually looks like one now. Very happy w' the wiring job in the radio/battery compartment. I think I may go down & take the wheels off my grasshopper & put them on it to make it feel I have made more progress. I am waiting for some rough rider tyres to go on my chrome rims, so will not make up originals just yet. Next big job - paint body.

Might want to have a look @ this site: www.rc-mini.net/joomla/ They built a rear wheel drive M03 @one stage, may help, then again may not.

I would say that if you have got it share it. After all it is your collection & showroom to do with what you like. I don't think I have ever heard of anybody discriminating against anybody else for what they have in there showroom. I seen some rubbish about, but if that's what they have & are willing to share w' others so be it.

Who collects decals/off-cuts/leftovers?
Damaniac replied to BeetleLover's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I just keep them in a draw on my hobby desk in my hobby shed. Speaking of which, I am chasing the window net stickers for a Boomerang. Can anybody help? RE-RE - Vintage don't care! Send me an email if you can help. damienkent@hotmail.com -
Take a look @ this site: www.rc-mini.net/joomla/ These guys were the first to start racing minis in Australia & are responsible for the current mini rules.
