There are dozens of versions of this motor, they are fine for just mucking about. I'm 90% sure they all come out of the same factory / factories in China. You can't load them up like a Castle or LRP, but then you probably don't want to either. I have 4 or 5 similar motors with 2 still running, but I DID try and load them up like a Castle!

Wow, didn't realise there was so much passion for a toy car out there, and statistics. I have bought the Blitzer chassis, will decide on body when I get it. As for tyres, I'm s racer, I would never even consider keeping the stock tyres on, will put on whatever tyre suits the track surface closer to the day.

Thanks, that is exactly the kind of feedback I was after. Cheers.

I am considering getting a Stadium Blitzer or Thunder for Casso Vintage race in September does anyone have any advice as to which is the better truck? Handling, durability and parts are my biggest concerns.

Nope,it needs to be rectangular, one short side will have some sort of return on it to fit into a hinge type recess on the chassis. -

I would love the battery cover if you still have it. I have a QD Ferrari that my son has been nagging me to repair but haven't been able to find a battery cover anywhere. Willing to pay for it and post to Australia. -
Thanks for the offer but I've got three of those already, the idea is to put a Manta Ray body on a Blazing Star to make it legal for a vintage meet. Thanks anyway. However...do you still have the TF undertray?
-
Hi, I'm looking for a used Manta Ray body and wing to use for a vintage meet coming up in September. Happy to take something needs to be repaired, but really one that has original colours and decals. I know I can get a repro and the RTR decals but I don't want to spend heaps on something that will just get trashed anyway and then put in the cupboard for another year to get trashed again. It will need to be posted to Australia so can't really afford to spend too much, let me know what you are willing to let yours go for. Nick

How to remove paint off of a lexan body?
nckmat replied to OldSchoolRunner's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I used it on a modern mini PC body and there were no isuues. You just need to do a test patch and make sure you check it every now and then, but in my experience it is fine. -
How to remove paint off of a lexan body?

OK I had to ask the same question and went to every forum and collector worth their salt and got all their suggestions, there was one common option from them all and that was engine degreaser. I have done 5 bodies now by soaking them in neat degreaser and have found it to be very successful, with ABS bodies I was able to soak them for weeks without any ill effects so it is pretty safe and works really well. -
How much to post the TA05 stabilizers to Australia?

I'm looking for the GPM aluminium TA02 front knuckles and propellor shaft, can anybody help? Asiatees are out of stock for a while and wanted to get this done as a holiday project. Nick

I am looking for King Cab or Hilux decals, preferably not originals as the budget is tight and they are going on a Frewer shell anyway. Anybody got anything to offer? Nick

Help! What Length Are Ta01 Skyline Shocks
nckmat replied to nckmat's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
OK. added some longer ball sockets and seems to have improved things a fair bit, still thinking about getting the 60mm version though as this is meant to be a basher not a racer.
