  1. Better video here. Batteries were getting a bit flat.
  2. Only just ventured into fpv but I believe you could buy a camera with tx built in and an android receiver that plugs into a phone to convert a phone to fpv screen. Not much difference in price, but at least the Dumbo RC kit is extremely easy to set up and use. Really is just plug and play. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334359931188?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LS1zRohWT--&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=AmMhQ-pWTKq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  3. Dumbo rc do a plug and play kit. Comes with a screen, with built in receiver and a tiny camera with built in transmitter. You just plug the camera into your car receiver and turn the screen on and it's ready to go. I've only just got one myself, I'll try and get some pictures of it. I added the blue foam for protection as the transmitter became top heavy with the screen on. I've just got goggles that the screen will fit inside if I cut some holes for the aerials.
  4. Sorry, you know I can't stop myself. Some say, when the Clodbuster goes up a ramp, it doesn't go up the ramp, it actually pushes the world down. All we know is that it's called the Clodbuster. 😆
  5. He was the only one brave enough to ride it. Lol.
  6. Some say that the monster beetle shell should have been on the Clodbuster chassis from the start, and that the beetle shell will look good on anything if you fill the "engine" hole with something. All we know is it's called the Clodbuster, not a Chevy, or a VW so put whatever body makes you happy. I am waiting for a small scale Monster Beetle and Clodbuster on the SW01 chassis, that would be cool.
  7. Lol. Been there, done that Gears didn't last the day with my eldest on it, but he had great fun.
  8. Cable ties and duct tape, will fix anything.😁
  9. Some say that Tamiya manuals are the best in the world, but I'm sure they haven't subscribed to my comic subscription service which is still accepting applications by the way!!. Or read the most epic build manual ever!. Build your own monster truck that actually drives by remote control without the premium price that these build your own subscriptions usually charge, as well as not having to worry about missing a part because you went on holiday and missed your monthly magazine from the newsagents. We went ahead and didn't even write that issue. Another problem solved. Subscribe to comical ways to kill Coronavirus and for this month only you will receive absolutely free, a feeling of warmth and wellbeing as well as the imaginary free gift. Issue 25895 out now........... First issue 99p Subsequent issues as usual are available with one easy payment of your left kidney,...... Oh!!, wait, that's not right!!!! It's both kidneys 😆😆😃 *All we know is that it's called Comical ways to kill Coronavirus. *,the other titles in the trilogy have other titles.
  10. There's a spacer inside the gearbox that sometimes gets forgotten, the one that slides on the axle inside the gearbox to prevent the gears from touching. Also the differential pin, The most likely cause is the loose pinion though. Check your underpants first. If anything bad has happened to your underpants?, then it's the spacer, if your underpants are still good, it's the pinion come loose. See manual above.
  11. I bought one from Tamico probably 3? years ago when I built the 6x6, sold everything apart from the axles as usual. Clods are addictive, I think I must have had enough axles to build 3 6x6's at one point. Lol.
  12. I can relate to that!!, I started this on first lockdown only to be back in work 4 days later. Took me months!!!. Then I left it for ages and came back and finished the VW badge to my liking and called it done. But it's supposed to have bumpers, full interior, roof rack and a few other details I omitted because I was seeing matchsticks, not just in my dreams but I think they were creeping into my peripheral vision by this stage, not to mention the mess I created everywhere, probably had bits of matchstick glued on my face for a week or something or in my hair, in my boots, socks, you get the idea. Lol. Great job on your shell though, it looks like a 1/1 in a lot of your pictures. Someone more clever than us may plastic print pop up headlights if we push the idea enough. Lol The VW was even supposed to have safari windows, maybe one day.......
  13. Look at fibrelyte for shock towers if you're in the U.K. the longer shocks will make a difference.
  14. Don't know if this has been suggested because I was just drooling over the pictures and skimmed through the text, Could you fit a mini servo under the pop up lights with a big egg shaped cam with enough lift to push each headlight up individually so you can wink the headlights.
  15. Did you get upset because I quoted you?. No need to use veiled insults. Not this BS from you again getting stressed out over a joke on the internet??
  16. Chill, it was a little joke. 😁
  17. I usually find cartwheeling upside down along the road at around 40mph+ disconnects the battery connector without fail, unfortunately the lipo tends to disconnect itself from the car and decides to race the sliding car down the street copying it's barrel rolls and cartwheels perfectly. This has the added benefit of time efficiency and free cardio exercises as you are now running down the road, in an effort to retrieve the car before the lipo skids to a halt and bursts into an unstoppable fire from badword, unaffected by water or your average fire extinguisher. The only way to extinguish a lipo fire is to burn a ring around it so it's got no food, people have also used Nokia 3310's which also work as a fire guard. See the Springfield tyre fire in the Simpsons?. It will become a lipo fire where all the dead lipos go to die some more. Ah, I see you're still using Ni-mh batteries?, what are you doing?, this is 2023, we use Lipo nowadays. Deans connectors are great, just buy genuine ones if you can and improve your grip strength by strangling your children when they misbehave.😄😃😁
  18. That is cool, kind of like the Kyosho hi rider Corvette but it's a Nissan and a Tamiya, great job.
  19. I added a few LEDS to my Clodbuster,..... Then I got carried away. Just a little bit.
  20. Well, he might as well use his hairdryer for something. 😁
  21. Depending on age and skill levels, you build the car and let them loose on the body.
  22. Some say that the Bullhead is the Clodbuster's ugly cousin and that the original cause of the big bang was a Clodbuster and Bullhead doing a tug of war!!!, the world imploded causing lots of smaller planets which we now know as our solar system........ All we know is that it's called the Clodbuster, erm I mean Bullhead.
