  1. Start growing vegetables and raising a cow, the money you save on food could be spent on RC.😄
  2. Coming soon,.... More comical ways to kill Coronavirus..
  3. I'll be honest, there was some crunchy noises on 3s if you jam the throttle, enough to make me buy a spare set but if you gradually accelerate, it'll take it fine, or something had come loose in one of my 3 gearboxes, and I hadn't bothered to check.
  4. Way ahead of you there. Only other essential upgrade is another axle. 9s lipo. 3 batteries. 3s lipo. So still 11.1volts.
  5. I gave the completed manual to my boy, I have pictures of all the pages but I can't guarantee that the picture quality will be any good. Have you asked your local newsagent about my subscription service?
  6. The way to succeed is to invent a catchy name, everyone knows that, using the word catch in your product name doesn't count. Cookie catcher !!!!! Pfffffffft They're biscuits, we all decided this pages ago. Anyway, I'm not bitter, so I retaliated with a catchy name and a new design. Behold the "dunker duster" You'll see I dropped mini Chuck Norris from the credits, he just told me to make everything faster and more powerful all the time and it wasn't always productive, in fact most of his ideas were destructive which included destroying infinity twice so he had to go.
  7. 2.4ghz changed everything. And lipo Receivers are tiny. Servos could lift a small child. ESC's are programmable, with brakes acceleration and all manner of adjustments. Lipo's are like having nitrous. Brushless motors are capable of 100,00RPM compared to the 14,000 from the standard 540 brushed silver can. Welcome back to the hobby. How fast do you want to spend?
  8. If you're after a street tyre for the Blackfoot? Have you considered Schumacher RC tyres? I believe they make mini pin truck tyres in 2.2 with different compounds to choose from as well.. Or proline road rage would also work.
  9. Next, they'll be making RC build instructions, what is the world coming to?
  10. Its even more insulting that it's called something rubbish like "cookie catcher" or something, I suspect foul play. I mean who dunks cookies? They're called biscuits... And it's a sieve!!!!
  11. The biscuit sieve has been stolen from me already, I told you they were watching. @Superluminal @Mad Ax https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Cookie-Catcher/dp/B013RK3GH8
  12. The prices were creeping up for a while but they seemed to have come down again. Just don't tell anyone else. Lol.
  13. That sounds like a plan, keep the plastic locating pins and drill the motor mounting holes on a different position so you have 4 anchorage points instead of 2 and a more accurate pinion mesh as well.
  14. @Nikko85 it looks like your motor screw maybe rubbing the gears?. I know there isn't much room for screws and I think I used a counter sunk screw on the side where the gear is. I think you can shim the gear to clear a screw at the expense of losing gear contact. I just lock it in high to prevent it jumping out into neutral.
  15. I may have a good half gearbox somewhere but it won't be the motor side, I melted too many of the motor side.
  16. I have destroyed a few gearboxes by either the motor getting hot and melting enough to move or the bolts loosening enough for movement to damage the holes. I was trying to find a solution and was considering chopping the mounting face off the old silver can and somehow making a "brace" or washer but never got around to it. But I think they'd be great fun on the standard motor with a small 3s lipo. Great cars.
  17. Sort of, but not for a while, been busy with other things but I'm still around
  18. Looks like you need some additional advertising!!, Have you considered an IRN-BRU marketing campaign yet?
  19. And I think my work is complete. I cut the end off because my little boy kicked off because his car crashed.
  20. Now introducing "Tunnocks tea cake" corner and also "Tunnocks tea cake" tunnel. Had to flatten the high bank inside corner because it was causing problems.
  21. The ESC is braking with the wheels off the ground but not on tarmac? Silly question, but are your tyres tight on the rim?
  22. If a lunchbox last 25 years?. (They often do running standard electronics) with minimal parts replacement, surely that's better than spending almost as much on a Walmart/Asda RC car, only to chuck it in the bin in less than a year because it's broke and unfixable or boring. Whereas the lunchy is almost infinitely upgradeable. I'd go with a lunchbox every time instead of £50-60 on a Walmart/Asda car each year because of a fancy box and a fake RRP that makes you think it's cheap, when it's probably not even worth half the price it is in the sales.. I'm not even sure I'd want to pay £30 for some of the supermarket offerings, they must be causing more damage than Tamiya ever will. Not just to the environment but to the hobby as well.
  23. Would whisky straight, actually be straight?.
  24. I let my younger boys do the steering while I do the throttle..(they are 4 now) My older boys were driving cars before they could walk. My eldest was driving the DT.02 on brushless and lipo while he was still in his pushchair. Lol. By the time he was 6, he was better at driving than me. And this is on sticks with his little hands. Lol. Champ. I'm telling ya.
  25. That's not appropriate advertising for the children!!, Coming soon,..... Tunnocks tea cake corner.....
