@TWINSET, When you said you went to Halfords I thought you had used 1/1 scale body filler (lack of sleep), anyways I have used 1/1 scale body filler on R/C models in the past with good success, might be worth a try? , I used it on a lexan beetle body which was strengthend with firbreglass matt and resin on the inside. It was on my Pumpkin. I didn't know you could get filler for models. Still learning -

Cool thanks for getting back so quick My apologies, I thought you had added a lower cargo door I should know about the doors on the lunchbox, I see enough of them on here, It has been a long weekend with very little sleep, I think the Halfords thing threw me And I would have liked a pic of Dr Frankenstein with weapon in hand -

I was following this thread but got a bit lost Did you mean a body prep thread on the forums? Halfords for paint? How did you cut the body? And did you make those extra marks(cargo hold doors, and anything else I missed, maybe rear lights?) on the shell?( It must be 25 years since I had a lunchbox) Sorry for all the questions, still learning -
Well, I was going to welcome you to the Forums but I see you have been here for 5years?, what took you so long to post your collection? Nice collection and all but took you a while to post it!

Pumpkin And Pumpkin Qd Whats The Difference ?
wolfdogstinkus replied to mark72's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Where did you locate the battery on the clod?, I have converted my QD monster beetle to proper radio gear and the 7.2v pack, and fitted bearings, it will pull wheelies with the standard motor, but I was thinking of going brushless -
It's my Birthday next week, I have been showing the Mrs this thread but she can't cook beans, never mind a cake! Still, she said she is taking me to the modelshop today so lets hope they have something good. You people are very lucky.

Too true, I even asked RC champ for a quote on the clod but decided that I can't, ( saying that if there was a VW shell on the clod?, I would!)

Will be sat on the shelf, maybe some slow driving, If they had re-re'd the SS, I would have had that in a flash but I am a VW person so I think the M*O4L(*Is that an "Oletter" or a "0number") is a calling for my Birthday. Questions,. Are the wheel-arches pre-cut on the shell? What's the kit like to build?, I tried looking for the manual but had no joy!. I saw some of the work that KINGCOBRA has produced, there's no way mine will be of that quality , unless we have a resident shell painter? So should I buy the kit?, well I shall buy it and the Mrs can owe me Anything to look out for? I will buy bearings in case I do decide to run it. Any feedback much appreciated, thanks The dog

Ahh, Thats why I used the unsure smiley!, so, as a reformed LEGO user myself and now a TAMIYA addict are you suggesting a connection?, in a conspiracy theory kinda way?, like LEGO is a gateway hobby leading to eventuall Hardcore TAMIYA useage? Sorry, please pass my coat, and my half empty beer can.

LEGO is just above Tamiya
