The screws used to hold them should have a shaft on them so that the springs can move freely, Tamiya's fault. But I have to say that I think you overtightened the screws, preventing the spring from moving, causing the breakage. I broke one of the springs by tightening the screw too much and now I have the 3rd shock mod

Yep!, was going to say the same myself, costs more but it is tracked the whole way through the system.

Cool , thanks for your reply, so if I was to buy the 9T combo for my pumpkin and also a single motor in 1/18th scale, then I could use the ESC from the 9T combo kit to power the smaller motor?(which is actually the same size motor but the 9T motor has added cooling fins to make it 540 size?)

Have you had your motor out to measure it? I just measured mine against the EZRUN combos that jns.inc sells on the bay and looks like it may fit?

I was just about to buy that system for a QD Monster Beetle, I think it will fit in there, let me know what happens and I shall do the same here

The reason I asked is that I have a spare transmitter with crystals and a PCB but it's from a QD Monster beetle

I have broken both my bottom shock mounts on my pumpkin but that was hitting something solid at full speed, not from jumping, usually jumps just break the body mounts if it rolls over, I am now running it topless untill I sort out some stronger body mounts, My smashing pumpkins thread
