Have not got a truck yet. [:I]
Can't decide between Twin Det/TXT. Which one is best for hills? I'm thinking in terms of stability rather than power. Many thanks. [
] -
How much servo torque is needed for steering a TXT?
-
You can get adjustable suspension upgrades for the Tigers. Can set it to give more ground clearance. [
] Requires a bit of filing and fiddling to fit though. www.tankzone.co.uk
www.backyardarmor.com
Check the exchange rates first. [

How good are these motors? What is the runtime compared to a standard Mabuchi?
Many thanks for your answers. [
] -
Yes, and it must be purely to get round a tight turn. No reversing for a second go at a hill or muddy bit. [
] -
Is it OK?
I have some Tamiya PS paint, so can I use that on a RR shell? Or must I use acrylic/enamel?
Trying to save ten quid. [

Mud4fun- does rule 5 refer to trucks stopping in between gates? ie clearing gate 5 but stopping before one hub is through gate 4[?]
I am also member of AWDC, but don't trial my Vitara very much![

Thanks.
My mistake, it is 2x not 10x.
-
To add to the question- torque for the Truck Puller is 320Nmm, about 10x that of normal fast motors. Is this correct[?]
-
Ahhh. One of my pet subjects.[
]On real Tigers, the transport tracks are only as wide as the drive sprockets. They were used w/o the outer roadwheels or side mudguards.
The Tiger in the Saumer museum (France) is fitted with these.
The Tamiya Tiger has the (725mm) wide combat tracks. The real Tiger at Bovington has these. Seen it moving. [

Hi all. [
]I want two more batts for my cars. 2000-2400mAh NICd types.
Are the Modelsport or Team Orion ones any good? Or should I get genuine Sanyo ones?
My charger won't do hydrides, so sticking with cadmium for now- until I sell off some SRB bits at least. [
]Many Thanks.

Anyone got the gear ratios? I have never seen them listed anywhere.
How about 3-speed vs cc chassis car in mud or crawling?
-
Quick question-
Is a 3-speed better than a Clod or TXT in mud?
-
Claims that NiMH are 'delicate' have put me off. Might think differently if I raced. My Sanyo's give good run times. Always take at least two with me.
Just wondering how much longer NiCds will be available. [?]
-
Is there any research & development into improving nicd batteries?
Or are they dead technology? Is the main problem the toxic cadmium?
I still use Sanyo 2400 cells. Good for backyard bashing. Recycling centre nearby, so they won't get dumped.
-
Thanks. Does it affect current draw as well?
-
Just got a Mtroniks marine motor. Has a steel band around the can. Apparently this slip ring increases torque and reduces rpm. Can anyone explain how this works [?]
Happy Christmas [
] -
How small do they go? I need 10 tooth 0.6 module ones.
-
I am looking for some pinions to fit a 380 motor- 2.3mm shaft size.
Can anyone reccomend a Uk shop?
Thanks and Happy Christmas. [
] -
Just curious- how low is first gear on the old 4x4 3-speeds? Lower (allowing for tyre size) than TXT/Clod ? [8)]
-
Was wondering because I have a Tiger. Can't fit 540's
Would like to slow it down. No reply from guy who makes gear reductions. [
!]Wondering at what voltage Mtroniks was rated. [?]
-
Hi, anyone using 380 size motors?
What's available and suitable for cars? Plenty for aircraft, but are they ok for us?
Many thanks in advance. [
] -
No reply at all? [V]
I see there are a lot of different 380/400 motors available. Mtroniks do one listed at 12000rpm. Only £3.95 [
] But do these slow rev motors have enough torque for a Tiger? The specs listed do not make it clear. -
Anyone had dealings with www.customrcmodels.com?
Some good looking items on there, but no reply to my emails. [
