Hi Guys .... I have a King Blackfoot and wanna replace the original bumpy suspension with the one with oil in it. Can you Guys recommend me which one is the good one, and possibly with pictures and parts number ? Also is any modification needed to replace it ? I saw a lot of different looks of suspension for KBF. Thanks Guys. hsw21

Any of you Guys went to the RCX ? I know many of you are in the u.K, so my question is for you Guys who are in the u.S. I went there on Saturday and like ussual, I feel at home, RC's everywhere....... Tamiya booth sells some TLT (full kit) for about $120. TNX for $300. and Nitro Thunder for $225. Unfortunately, I have the money but not the permit to buy it, so I went home with tears in my eyes. [] hehe Oh well....

LunchBox and Grasshopper. How many will you buy??
TamiyaRC replied to Lunch ROCS's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Agreed with "bugged". Just a bare minimum for now, 2 for each, 1 runner, 1 NIB. There's no need to concern about spare parts or anything like that for now, since they just re-release, there's gonna be a lot of these on the market, and also no need to think for investment for now, coz it gonna need a long time before this re-releases become another vintage. Unfortunately, for me, I can't even afford anything right now. [V] -
oil dampers on my tl-01? means shocks with oil in it ? yes how if i use smaller tires on my dagger/detonator/bull ? are they still not OK ? sorry about this "motor turns thing" coz like i said, when i play this about 20 yrs ago, i dont even know what the "turns" is. thx
-
What do u mean by stock TL-01 and mighty bull (not mad bull)? I have them all fully ballraced. Is that what u mean or something else ? And is the 19T motor faster than 20T (i have a traxxas stinger 20T). I dont really know stuff about different motors coz when I play it about 20 yrs ago, we just use those stock mabuchi 540 motor. Is there any math about how much power different between 1 turn ? for example, 19T motor will be this much more power than 20T, 20T is this much more power than 21T, and so on ? Or different brand/type just have different result so we cant count it that way ? thx

There's gonna be an 11T and 19T motor for cheap/sale on the RCX and I think I'm gonna buy it. (brand/type unknown coz the black out the pics on the brochure). I will use it on my: -Mighty Bull, -Twin Detonator and/or my -TL-01 car. Can you Guys tell me which one to get for each ? Since they are cheap, I dont mind to buy some of them. Maybe max 4 motors for all of my car & truck. 1 for Mighty Bull, 2 for Twin Detonator, and 1 more for the TL-01. Thx Guys...

Hi I'm in the u.S and the body I'll paint is not lexan, but one of those hard plastic body. Thx

Ah ya... Sorry and thanks DJTheo

Guys I need to know some info for those chrome spray paint. I dont know the brand or the type, coz they have it for metal, plastic, wood, etc. If any of you has used it, please let me know which one to get. And also hows the result ? Is it durable, etc. This is for the body of my Blackfoot Xtreme 4WD project. I'm gonna paint the wheels and bumpers (I bought mine used, so they need a little work). Any help would be appreciated. My project: 4WD Blackfoot Extreme. Twin Detonator chasis. Full bearings. Nice paintjob. (color? dont know yet) Chrome wheels. Kyosho Magnetic Mayhem motors. Yes it is just a simple and easy project, and I think its good enough because I'll get a balance between the looks and performance. (remember that I cant buy anything for a while? [8)]) Thx Guys

Just got it today, rushed home, and try it. PERFECT. Thx a lot terry

Thats what I'm talking about. Thanks everybody and Twinset. Actually I need this clip to "encourage" one of my friend who kinda like RC stuff but sooo.... hesitate to jump into the RC world. I know that he like rallye stuff a lot and played it in a PC game a lot too. So, knowing his "weaknesses", I'll try to use this clip to "poison" his mind. Huahahahaha........(evil laugh). Good luck to me.

Found it Guys.... http://tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp?id=163&uid= but it cant be played right now. Thx

Sorry Supergreg, But its none of them. I really forgot who makes them, but it make sense if I'm thinking maybe its Scooby's, coz he did a lot of Subaru stuff. One thing I remembered is that the movie looks like "real rallye video". Anyone else can help ? Thx
-
Guys, A while ago I saw a movie with Subaru Impreza rallye in it. It was very nicely done like the real rallye movie. The problem is that I think I cant find it now. Anyone knows where it is or which one is that ? Thanks

Guys, I think I tighten em strong enough, and yes, I was using the nut with nylon end. About new nut, I think they're new, I just bought this Mighty Bull brand new. Tamiya 1/100: I might gonna try the nail polish, but I prefer other way. Thx Guys... Any other advice ?
-
Guys My rear wheel nut on the left side always come loose. Any fix for these ? My truck is a Mighty Bull. Thx

Guys is there any way to put older Tamiya wheels (rear Frog, Monster Beetle, Blackfoot wheel) to hex wheel mount ? I want to put my Monster Beetle rear wheels to my King Blackfoot/Mighty Bull. Thx

Guys Those allen wrench for the pinions, are they special size only for RC cars ? What size is it ? I kept damaging it (make it rounded, how you call that ?) so I want to buy a good one if its available everywhere (ex: hardware store). And if any of you Guys are a metal expert, let me know what material is best for that tools. Thx

Do you keep the boxes from your runners ?
TamiyaRC replied to Ultima Ratio's topic in General discussions
I always want to keep it all, but here's the story: About 20 yrs ago (junior high), I cut the cover picture and throw the box, then put it on my bedroom wall. Now, its all gone, I was moved, moved and moved couple of times, not only to different address, but to different country too (now, california, uSA). For recent bought stuff, I CAN'T keep it, for safety reason (if I wanna keep alive heheh), I usually ship the stuff I bought (ebay) to my office, then take them apart then bring it home and put them in a parts bin, so someone in my house (u know who) would think its just some parts that I have. Then, I slowly build it again and play it, then its too long for that someone to remember that its a new stuff. Sad huh ? But in the future, when I have more income, have my own house and everything, I would have a room for my self (work room or something), then at that time, money is not an issue anymore (hopefully) so it just wouldn't matter how much Tamiya I buy. And at that time, I'll keep everything. -
Monster Beetle gold wheels and tire removal.
TamiyaRC replied to TamiyaRC's topic in General discussions
Thanks Guys for the reply, but what I'm trying to do is to wear out the tires thats in it (start to rot, but very usable, thats why, instead of throw it away, I'll just use it away). Problems is that I have my Monster Beetle in a non-operation condition, while I have a king blackfoot, and twin detonator in running condition, but the wheels just didnt fit. Is there any adaptor to use Monster beetle wheels in a hex mount ? Thx
