  1. Is it fitted with an electronic speed control? Is the ESC set-up correctly according to it's instructions?

yeah it is but first he did it great and then on am moment he felled just out and now he doesn't work i thought maybe the receiver is broken

  2. I know with the TEU101BK if you turn on the ESC without having your radio/transmitter on it will start beeping at you. Have you tried a different receiver, or the reciever alone (use the battery pack, most futaba's come with one). Sounds like a fault with the ESC or your reciever is malfunctioning if you indeed have the TEU101BK.

Any more info you can give will help.

yah i've got that one the TEU a red light is flashing and beeping anD my transmitter is from Futuba

  4. This question had me thinking. I was sure it was connected to either the collector or Emitter, but wasnt sure which one. I had to do some testing.

The metal tab on the TO220 size fets is connected to the Emitter (output). This means for a Forward only ESC, the emitter (or metal tab) of the drive FETS is connected the negative wire going to the motor, and the Emitter of the Brake FET is connected to the (motor) Positive. Reversing ESC's will probably be different, as there are 4 sets of fets.

    Cheers

u've got the same problem my solution: buy the newer version and from the old version u only use the leds

  5. All things being equal, a 4300 should last about 2.4 times as long as the 1800. Of course a batteries capacity changes with age. When they are brand new, they hold quite a bit more than their rated milliamps. After a year or so, that capacity will drop below the rated milliamps. This is why it's best to just buy cheep packs if your bashing. You really only need the extra capacity, punch & price-tag if your racing. I've seen 4 packs of 3500mah nickel-metal for $50us on eBay. They are decent quality, and the price per amp cannot be beat...

If your switching to Nickle Metal batteries, it's absolutely best to buy a peak-detection charger specifically designed for NIMH. Nickle-Metal batteries are much more sensitive to over-charging and over discharging than Nicad. This means you do NOT want to do a timed charge on them.

you can't say see there a different chargers so if you have a normal charger it takes about 5 hours ( i run on 3600 mah and i've 10 hours) And running with a 1600 can let you race for +- 15 min
