  1. I've fitted one shock from the 53155 Low Friction Aluminum damper set in my Group C. Works a treat and looks good too
  2. This morning I ordered a Dualhunter off our LHS, should arrive Monday for me along with twin Sport Tuned motors. I have spare genuine 1150 Tamiya bearings so didn't need to order those. Should make a fun companion for bashing with my Lunchbox re-re. This afternoon my gf asked why I hadn't started painting my Mini shell. That was all the encouragement I needed. Within fifteen minutes the windows were masked and I had started on the grille and flares. Couple of hours later I had a beautiful blue Mini with black flares. Will stick some of the decals in the kit on tomorrow and make a custom reg plate for it. Also this morning I put a pre-order in with my LHS for the Fire Dragon re-re. I love the futuristic late '80s look! I had a QD Thunder Dragon coming up 20 years ago and dreamed of having the big brother kit with the big 540 motor! I don't think they will re-re the Thunder Dragon so this is as close as I'll get without spending $400+usd + shipping to New Zealand.
  3. Get a Group C car. 2wd on the pan car chassis. A handful but quick. Can be picked up off eBay for around $120usd for the Jaguar XJR-12 NIB with finished body.
  4. You poor ******s. Over here in NZ I've, touch wood, never been stung once for bringing stuff in. We don't have import duties on anything though, just GST (goods and services tax) of 12.5%. Usually you just get stung if the parcels declared has been valued at over $500nzd or so. Which never happens as all sellers seem to price items at 10% of what they cost.
  5. NIB Tamiya Footwork FA13 Mugen Honda F1 car. $156usd. I was prepared for a bidding war as the bidding was very quiet on the last day, and with a few minutes to go it sat on $155. I was prepared to go over $200usd. Got it for $156 in the dying minutes with no one else bidding. However, using the usual "Tamiya 1/10" or "Tamiya F1" or even "Tamiya F-1" searches, it never came up. By chance I typed Tamiya Footwork and it came up.
  6. Got one of these NIB kits off eBay a while ago for the bargain price of $108usd. Picked up a full set of Tamiya bearings, got an aluminium low friction damper set (will use the other one in my F102 Footwork Mugen Honda), carbon driveshaft, 0.4 module gears I'm using a 104t spur and 20t pinion. ESC is a Tamiya CPR unit P160f. Motor is an LRP 17x2 turn GT3 Got it running using one of my beater nicd 1500mah packs at a local tennis court. MY GOD ITS FAST. However, having to go around corners? Forget about it hahahaha it just slides around. cheers al
  7. Probably because whenever the customer goes to buy one, they see how cheap the best sailplane (Great Planes, Spirit) is and rethinks. lol
