G'day Kiwis [] Troy (axxl1) & I are keen to have a bit of a "race day" at the Counties Club track in Pukekohe (about 45 k's or so south of Auckland City) sometime in October. No date is set, but as Labour w/end is in that month perhaps that could be a good time. Basically I'd like to see if there's any interest in having a good laugh with fellow collectors running some older Tamiya & other brand R/C's. It'd also be great to finally meet some of you lot, lol. I'm am considering getting the guys from the Counties R/C club involved, but this depends on what interest there is so we can put together our own track design since the track is outlined by plastic tubing. Only the ramps are a permanent feature of the track. Having "classes" of racing (vintage 2WD, 4WD, WW, Pumpkin/LBox etc.) should also make the day more interesting. Oh btw, the track is dirt! It's probably best if you order the re-released Lunchbox steering set-up. The Blackfoot parts are not a direct replacement.

TZ motors are pretty quick, try driving a 'Box with one of those on a dirt track! It's a good laugh. No steering what-so-ever! Nah, I generally don't glue my tires to the rims, I use rubber bands in the grooves where the edge of the tires sit. This way if I wanna replace the tires or whatever I don't have to literally rip the tires off, or buy new rims again. You should try it, it works real well. Some screws on that wheelie bar might help keep it on [] Or just put a big screw with a locknut on the other end on it. Heh heh heh... []

Lol, you guys need a Kiwi to sort yourselves out it seems [] Seriously though, there's gotta be at least 5 of you in the Melbourne area and TFTR's an alright place for a laugh on the weekend no matter what kind of car you've got. Alex, Will & I have managed to run and crash and break and strip servos in our cars there and I don't even live in Oz. I may be over in November. I'm keen for another "meet" if any of you are. And Frankston's alright. I never get why people like to make fun of that place. Seemed pretty nice to me being by the sea. The whole Morningtom Peninsula is all good.

I have a nitro powered Blizzard that I want to convert over to electric. Has anyone done or at least attempted to do this? Just wondering what parts I'm going to need. Also are spare tracks available for these? I could do with some more...[] Cheers, Mike

I once had the same type of rims soaking in BF for close to a year and never had any of them crack. Like Bluefoot has said, I believe the cracks may have been under the layer of paint. Good news is that with the re-release of the Grasshopper etc. you can get some brand new wheels for your SS, and they're very cheap! Well they are here in NZ anyway! [] Mike.

Just don't do what you did to make it do that ever again [] I don't see the point in using those rubber boots with the dogbone driveshafts other than recreating the look of the old car on the re re. In my opinion the rubber boots only made the driveline tighter, especially when they got a bit old and dirty.

Another kiwi here I've seen those for sale on TM, do they really do 60kp/h, or is that a load of rubbish? I've seen a rip-off Baja King made by the same company too. Mike.

I'm quite positive it was shown in the manual that you could either have the windshield up or down. Bodies from later production runs don't have the hole though I think.

What type of tires are you using? The bigger the tires, the smaller the pinion should be. Stock KC tires use a 18t pinion, if you use the Monster Beetle type tires use an 16t pinion. Hope you used proper ball diff grease in the diff too otherwise it'll just continue to slip. Good luck

You could fit another body onto it with a bit of work, but since the Pajero's such a stumpy little car it'd look pretty stupid! Your best bet would just be to use the body it already has on it if you want to run it. They're really very unstable cars, and I'm assuming the original body is quite damaged already. As for wheels, well you don't have much choice there either! The person you bought it from probably bought the car for the old Ford Ranger XLT wheels in the first place, then just re-sold it, lol [] Cheers, Mike.

You'll be fine, I travel to Australia three times a year and usually take a couple of cars with me when I do. I've never had any problems []

No, will be there Wednesday. I won't be able to do anything for a while as I'm going up to Sydney for 5 days for the Homebake music thing on the 3rd, but will be able to do something during the following weekend.
