  1. quote:Originally posted by melbsbalongjust built mine, and upgraded to mini cva shocks, is it normal that when i reverse the front end dips too much? did i put the wrong spring? i put the one that came with the mini cva shocks, stiff in front and soft at the rear and not the one originally supplied in the kit. id="quote">id="quote">It's totally normal for the front suspension to do that in reverse. It's not double wishbone suspension after all [] Stiff springs on the front should be better than how its set up stock too.
  2. Meh, shock mount, steering...close enough. If the wheels turn, it doesn't need cleaning matey Mike.
  3. quote:Originally posted by WillyChangThat'll be 10 & 11 Dec 2005. [] id="quote">id="quote">Yup, that's right Will [8D] Take your word for it in Bondi Alex, never been there though. I will be in Sydney before we (hopefully) all get together again so maybe I'll end up going there... You still haven't fixed the steering on that thing? Man, it's nearly a year ago! Mike.
  4. G'day Drew, good to hear from ya. Yeah, this thread is a bit hit and miss really - it's always been that way, lol. Where we drive, or what we drive depends on Will & Alex probably too. We've usually gone to TFTR in Templestowe, but somewhere off-road would be pretty cool for a change. That car park you mentioned in another thread might be okay though. What car(s) I bring over will depend on where we're going. I'd say there's about 10-15 Kiwi members, I think we out number you Aussies at the 'mo [] Mike.
  5. And you don't get a kangaroo getting walloped by a V8 Supercar in NASCAR either...
  6. So, who's up for some R/C fun during the second w/e of December? Plenty of time to organise, c'mon people, ha ha... []
  7. quote:Originally posted by Type49rsDid Lego ever make an RC car[?] id="quote">id="quote">They made a remote controlled car, I remember it quite well as a mate of mine had it. Expensive piece of kit too. They also had some kits that had parts operated by a small air pump. My girlfriend has a mad Simpsons collection, it could literally fill a house! [:0] Mt R/C's are minimal compared to what she has []
  8. It's "CPR" [] Depends what number it has on it, for example: 'P-160F.'
  9. Hey Max, I've never noticed any difference in colour myself, what about the Mad Cap? That had the same gear train as well as far as I can remember [?] The Super Astute's gears are a slightly different colour, but they're a different pitch. Mike.
  10. quote:Originally posted by topforceinnow the tyres will wear evenlly. id="quote">id="quote">They don't wear anyway! []
  11. I think the old "flash" decals were just stuck on the opposite way on the body so the red was at the top.
  12. Isn't that just Will's other name? Somebody wants some showroom hits []
  13. Lol! Brilliant Alex, you made my day [] Glad there wasn't any questions from any kiwis []
  14. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousJust to stick it to you Mike, we'll keep it going.... although would be good to see some different names... id="quote">id="quote">Holy Moses this place is riveting! [] Good point there though.
  15. quote:Originally posted by smallman28I thought it was when the wife gets hold of your wallet [] id="quote">id="quote">Lol []
  16. Sounds good [] Wish I was there for that. You guys should jump the ditch one season and ski over here. I could use some Darwin weather, it's freezing here... Anyways, seeya in November [] Bet this thread will remain dead 'til then.
  17. quote:Originally posted by trackboundThat is cool, just wanted to have something. Mine should be in the end of this week, but I knew it wouldnt be long before it was built and pulling the front wheels up. id="quote">id="quote">It's not really a true wheelie machine, basically the wheelie bar is there to stop it flipping over.
  18. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousI had to work, so I didn't make it.... not too sure about Wills, he's been pretty snowed under I think... id="quote">id="quote">Snow eh? Seem you guys have had a bit of that []
  19. quote:Originally posted by WillyChangThought you were planning on moving over to the continent here, Mick. Any big plans yet? [] id="quote">id="quote">Got some plans, just gotta have the bucks matey. Lots of stuff has come up this year that I thought wouldn't, so the Aussie thing's on the back burner for the mo.' Might see you in November []
  20. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousI had to work, so I didn't make it.... not too sure about Wills, he's been pretty snowed under I think... id="quote">id="quote">Oh well, doesn't matter. I could've made the weekend after though. I'm back over next in November so well have to "try" to organise something then. The weather will be better then anyway []
  21. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousNo fair mate, you did that on purpose!!!!! Waaaaaah!!!!! id="quote">id="quote">Nah, I spose you were all too busy to post here - I hardly do anyways. I guess I should've just emailed both of you. Did you both go to TFTR on the 23rd?
  22. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousHey Mike, you here? I managed to pick up wheel hexes off eBayus Galacticus, so I'm sorted for that.... should be able to work out a shock from various parts,.... so will be looking for that spur gear cover ;-) Alex id="quote">id="quote">Been & gone as of Thursday Alex, I would've been up in Bendigo the day you posted this anyway. No one replied in this thread before I left NZ so I thought ****** it. I can post you the spur cover if you like though. Mike. *Typo edit*
  23. quote:Originally posted by Incredible_SeriousActually matey, the Black Plague Mini has moved on this week... I now have a couple of options: to rebuild my other M03 and use it with a racing red body (as seen in my showroom), to use it with the Wagon R RR body (that would be a complete kakfest!), or just to bite the bullet and build up and spray up my M03L body and chassis, and join the dark side. Decision may be taken from me again if I sell the other M03....... With the KC, I think I have to see what shock bits I have sitting around, see if I can build the shock... bidding on a set of drive hexes now, and when (IF!) I get some cash, I'll buy one of OZ-RC's King Cab lexan copies... Still need the gear cover though ;-) Alex id="quote">id="quote">I reckon go with what you don't mind getting scratched or beaten up. It took a couple of runs around that track to total the front of the new mini bod I had the first time I met up with you guys, not to mention a servo or two [:I] Did you get the KC drive hexes? I'll bring the parts sprues I have if you like - you can take you pick [] Oh, what's that big playing field like during the winter months? Don't they play Aussie Rules on it during weekends? The neighbours close to the track don't like nitro stuff so I thought the field would be an okay place to run me Mad Force. Mike.
  24. Don't use that black mini body Alex, we'll think it's part of the pavement [] You still in need of KC parts? Oh, and Will, I'll probably need a lift again...
  25. If you've got any old Tamiya catalogs have a look at the dioramas or pix of the 1/35 scale tanks they have. It might give you a few ideas [] Mike.
