  1. Try an old esc and see if that works. Jonny
  2. Hi, I tried swaping the wires around on my car before and it went the opposite way. This will also mean that the break will be the opposite way too. Hope this helps Jonny
  3. Well my mother said yesterday that if I pass my GCSE's in May, she will get me a micro-baja and some of the hop ups like carbon chassis etc so im quite lucky. I don't have laminated floor so it will be a pain but I will find somewhere to use it. For my birthday I wouldn't mind a lunchbox but I have a spare sport tuned motor and I heard that if I get a more powerful motor than the stock one the gear box makes a cluncking noise. This means I will need to add a 3rd shock absorber and it is too much bother for a bday present. I decided that the blackfoot extreme was more suitable for the sport tuned motor and it is bigger, suggesting its probably better for off road and is faster. Thanks for the help. If anyone has more suggestions please let me know. -Jonny-
  4. Hi, im thinking of getting a micro-baja for my birthday and I was woundering if anyone here has one? If you do have one then could you tell me if it is worth me getting one and are they good quality? The reason why I want one is because I don't have much space in my bedroom for anything big and its just something I could have fun with in the lounge or out in the garden. They look fun but I heard that they break easily. If I had a micro-baja I could choose other stuff for my bday BUT I also like the look of the lunch box but then if I get a lunch box for my bday then I wouldn't have much other stuff so which do you think is best? Get a micro-baja and other stuff or a lunch box and not much other stuff? Thanks, Jonny

I have fitted all the ball bearings and I can see a big difference, my car reminds me of when they strap the rocket on the car on Toy Story. Now all I need is the RZ motor and im hoping that then it will hit 25-30 mph? PS. Hope you all had a nice Christmas

Ok I will check ebay for a used Novak SS5800 but I am on a low budget so I might not be able to get one. Hopefully I have some money for christmas so I can spend abit more on it. I looked at the Novak SS5800 on Google images and I noticed that it comes with an esc aswell witch is good, so ill keep an eye out on ebay for one. Thanks for the website on motors, Jonny PS. When it says r.p.m at best efficiency and r.p.m at no load what is the difference? Thanks

Yea, theres a big huge feild across the road from me and we take it over there. It's fun watching it drive around but It gets abit boring. So i'm having one for christmas, second hand. Seeing as the are 750 brand new. I was just wondering if it was possible to fit the esc on my car but its too much of a job for me. I have a really good motor on my helicopter, EK5 - 0006 - 450 motor but it is alot smaller than a rc car motor. Also it is awkward to fit onto a car because the whole motor spins somehow, but anyway. Its a shame because its winter and the slightest bit of wind can affect my flying. I bought the helicopter thinking it would be easy to fly but I can only fly it for 40 seconds max. So its packed away in its box till the summer. Here's a vid of the heli I got: Esky belt-cp. Hopefully I will be able to fly like this one day. Anyway back on topic. When I fit the bearings, will I be able to use the RZ motor? Before I buy the motor I would like to ask... I usually buy my stuff from time tunnel models and on there it says that the RZ motor has 23000 rpm is this a mistake or is it maybe not the same motor? Jonny

I bought a set of ABEC 5 metal shielded ball bearings for the ff01 off alan041049 two days ago, so i'm waiting for them in the post. A thanks to lemming (Steve) for suggesting him to me. I can't wait to get them so I can put them on my car. I understand where all the bearings go as I have carefully read the manual a few times. PS. Just out of curiosity. I have an e-sky belt-cp and it has an EK1-0350 - 25A Brushless speed controller. I was wondering if it is possible to fit onto an RC car. The problem is that there are 3 wires for the motor but the motor that is on the car only has 2. Is there anyway of soldering the wires on? Im not going to do it but I am just curious whether it is possible. Thanks, Jonny

I would like a tlt crawler but I don't have enough money for one lol. I just came back from the fields near me. Me and my big bro just took his fg marder out for a spin. Have you heard of one? I'm also getting one for christmas so we can race them They are 1/5th scale 23cc petrol off road buggys and they are huge! But I love my ff-01 just as much as it because 1/10th scale electric cars are better for improving. Upgrading an fg marder costs hundres and even thousands if your really stupid. Look, 75 for USED On road tyres !! Nuts!

Shame, but hopefully you will visit there again soon. I might get a BMI Digipeak like you have. It sounds good and reliable. Is there any need for a discharger when you have a NiMH battery. When you say you take your tlt for a 'WALK' Im guessing its not a car for speed. I have seen them on youtube and they are really good at rock climbing and are really flexible, are they expensive?

Thanks for the help with the chargers but on my charger on the sticker on the back it says "Timer charger for 6 cells 7,2v NiCd or NiMH battery-packs" Maybe the information on the website is wrong?

Ok I'v been mistaken. I have found the right charger on timetunnelmodels but it says it only charges batteries up to 1900mah So this means I need to get a new charger Heres the Link

Thanks for giving me me amounts and sizes of the bearings I need, you've made it clear for me. I do have the manual but it is mostly japanese. Ball bearings are really expensive! Hopefuly I can get them off alan041049 on ebay for cheaper. The charger I got is an as-mann one. I dont know if it will charge a 3500NiMh in 30 minutes but there is a button you press on the charger to make it go fast, and in brackets it says (30 minutes), Jonny
