  1. So I need some wheel inspiration, I really am not sure about the yellow wheels but am also not convinced by the Carsons or 3racing and would like to try something a little different. have we any pics of HB's with different wheel sets on? Grey would look good like the original but they dont seem to do a 2wd star dish in grey. So thought about black or white? I have even thought about DF03 wheels for the rear like the MS car with something different up front...
  2. Ahhh just spotted the star dish look like 4wd fronts on a hub conversion?
  3. So the front tyres are 4wd tyres? they look good on the 2wd DT02 wheels So are the dish DT02 fronts much wider than the star dish ones? I have both white and yellow star dish, just looking at the smaller spike tyres shown lower down on the star dish alloys as those fronts look pretty wide.
  4. What tyres are those fitted to the blue car when it had flames? They look beefy, I quite fancy some on my holiday buggy
  5. I have a GT tuned motor (25T) in my Hornet that I have been running for some time without a problem on a stock tamiya ESC. I also have a superstock RZ that I ran for the first time in my Blitzer last week on stock ESC and did not have any issues with cutting out, I guess time will tell on that one though
  6. I would of really fancied this as my first TC meet but I am on a stag do. Hopefully next year, don't forget to take lots of video
  7. I blame Thatcher
  8. That might be my fault
  9. I'm confused, can u fart whist charging lipo's or are beans to be avoided for at least 24 hours before?
  10. So just to clarify, charging lipos in the spray booth whilst spraying is a bad idea then?
  11. Have you any links to the correct foams buddy?
  12. Just a thought, do we think packing AW grease in the diff would help with the crazy wheel spin kicking the rear end about?
  13. I have just been looking on modelsport and spotted those, the only thing with the proline tyres is they do not seem to do a 2wd front size to suit the blitzer and if I am being honest I am not sold on the looks. Schumacher do sell 2wd fronts that I am guessing will fit the blitzer wheels? I think the stagger rib would look quite good on the front with the vee at the rear. Has anyone used the Schumacher tyres?
  14. Well I have to say I like it What a thing it is for bashing about! it goes where a buggy won't which makes it more usable for just picking up and heading out of the front door and with a superstock motor really shifts. I had it flying from tarmac to medium length grass, then over jumps and it really did just take it. The only thing I noticed is the superstock RZ did loose a little speed on the grass, although this really is to be expected I guess but I am sure I read its has the least torque of the superstock range so not sure if a BZ would be better? Then the tyres... now I did read that the stock tyres will not last long?? I think this is for the best as they give no grip at all on tarmac. I fairness the front end is not to bad but the rear just spins up making it difficult to keep in a straight line and I swapped ends numerous times The transition from grass to tarmac was interesting to say the least. Its interesting that they do not last as my thoughts would be that they must be a really hard compound to offer so little grip? So I am after some ideas for Blitzer tyres, a few of the ones I have seen banded about look more road biased and I would still like some off road performance so have we any recommendations?
  15. I got the stadium blitzer dirty
  16. It was at 3.5a as it says on the battery to charge at a max of 5a so I thought better to charge lower? However today to speed things up I did charge at 5a and I must say there was a huge difference when I took the car back out! The thing was quick... much quicker than the first two uses and I got a good 20-30 mins run time, I am sure lipo would be better but at least the battery seems to be working now. Out of interest do I need to leave them charged or discharged? I do not know what to do with the pack now as last time I charged it and then it was shot by today so do I need to charge before use? Andy
  17. This lipo thing might be happening sooner rather than later. I bought a team Orion rocket pack 5100 at Christmas from my LHS for about £45. As the weather has been pants here I have not had much chance to use it but tried it once about a week ago in my new built blitzer with super stock motor and tbh it was much slower than I expected and the run time was not great. I re charged it after use as I hoped I may get chance to use it before now and once again today slow blitzer and probably 5 mins before the cut off kicked in. Grrr It's back on charge now hoping I can get out before it goes dark, the only thing I can feel is that the two cells at the opposite end to the lead are much hotter than the two near the lead and the two middle are some where between, is that normal? I never had these issues with my last mtronics 3700 I got a couple of years ago when I bought it, however that has been sat about so probably need a few cycles. The only thing I don't have is a good charger, I just have a ripmax delta peak charger. So am I doing something wrong? I am guessing storing charged should not be an issue? Have I bought a duffer that needs to go back? I know lipos tend to blow up but at least they work up to the point that they detonate your car
  18. What does the discharge C rating mean on the lipo battery's? I am looking at these two:- http://www.modelsport.co.uk/core-rc-4000mahr-7.4v-20c-lipo/rc-car-products/366384 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-7.4v-30c-3250mah-lipo-sport-track-pack/rc-car-products/379011 The Overlander is slightly longer (2mm) but measuring my nimh looks like it should still fit anywhere an nimh will. The Overlander is a tenner less but is only 3250 mAh vs 4000 mAh (I am guessing this means shorter run time?) However the Core has a discharge rating of 20C vs the Overlander's 30C with an 8 second bust discharge of 50C. So I am guessing the higher discharge rate the better? Does that mean the Overlander would be quicker but not last as long?
  19. Top man, it may of been static, I washed it in soapy water and then dried it with kitchen roll. Then took it in the garage, in honesty I was really careful and kept it raised up so I am not sure how the dust got on it other than static or already being on when I took it in. Where do u get tack rags from?
  20. You did better than me mate, my painting is a bit of a shambles
  21. Ok so I tried my first coat of black but it's either showing up the dust worse or I ended up with a few more so I am leaving it to harden tonight before a light sand tomorrow then try spraying inside. What should I use to sand? Wet and dry? If so what grade?
  22. I just tried some between coats but it cut in to much, however I did not bake dry. Just applied a further fine coat but I can see small bits landing on it. I am having to paint in the garage and it's still a bit dusty since having the kitchen done. Although I have raised the shell up and got it on a plinth. I'll give it 30 and then bake dry and see if I have any finer wet & dry. Andy
  23. Well just between primer coats and arrrggghhh hair!! Will be from one of the cats no doubt Will have to wait till its dry now and try to remove.
  24. I am quite tempted to see if the guys who signed my van could make me a set 1/12th scale...
  25. No mate, I got them off selections on eBay. £19.99 for four servos and the rx's were just over £12 each with free post. About as cheap as I have found and they turned up in just over a day. I got my blitzer off modelsport and they were spot on too
