Hi Chris, I've got the same problem. If you have some time and you're not too busy, could you fix my account as well. Cheers, Nick -
That is one slick looking tank with all that detail. Wonder if my wife would understand if I started collecting tanks? []

How collectable is a super hornet?

(I use W1 & SH wheels on my Hornet with GH2/SH adaptors.) id="quote">id="quote">Thanks Willy, I tried finding some adapters off of the SH, but the LHS said I had to buy the whole parts tree. Then I shaved down the W1 adapters, wound up with a bit of a wobble when running. Couldn't quite sort it out. My original point of my first post was the seller was flogging the rims off as "Real Wild One Wheels". Even when I informed him that these were SH rims, he still insisted they were W1 and I was mistaken. [:0] -
How collectable is a super hornet?
Javelin395(2) replied to poop2003's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
What makes me laugh is the Rare Super Hornet body selling for $50 and $60 US. [xx(] When for another $15 or $25 US, one can buy the whole kit. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGB22&P=7 I think a lot of sellers have these kits and piece them out to make more money. The sad bit is the way they misrepresent the parts they are flogging. [!] I purchased a set of fluorescent "Wild One" wheels for a fair price. Turned out the wheels came from the Super Hornet and would not fit my car.[] -

NIB Top Force and Manta Ray
Javelin395(2) replied to Javelin395(2)'s topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Well, I made an offer. $165 for the Manta Ray and $275 for the Top Force. I even suggested that he would save on the eBay listing fees. This was based on your suggestions and what I had seen on eBay in the past. He's replied saying they're going up for auction. [] Oh well, what can you do? Thanks, Nick -

Stefan id="quote">id="quote">Thanks Stefan, I tried that at my LHS but the guy behind the counter looked at me like I had two heads. He said "What would you want with that?". I can try another shop about an hours drive from here. I called first to see if they have any and said to come in and have a look. Very frustrating. Thanks, Nick

I know I've heard it before. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I have a line on these two kits and was wondering what a reasonable offer would be. In a couple of days, the seller will be putting them up for auction on eBay. I was hoping to avoid the auction and buy them outright. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Nick

Yes I recall that auction. I think he had about 9 or 11 of them. I'm happy with just one.[]
