  1. I didn't get to last years event , but hope to attend this year ... it sounds like it is a great sucess ! Had you thought about a 5 or 6 race DT02 series ??? Racing at different tracks around the UK ??? If you had a team of helpers/commitee , then it would make it easier . See you on the start line !!!

  2. I hope to attend the event with my 8 yr old son (his first taste of rc racing). Looking forward to it. Just wanted to know if it will be ok to provide a spares service on the day , or has someone else got it covered ??? Cheers :-) Glad to see the rules have been re-posted and hope everyone respects them and it is a good days racing !!!

  3. Been playing with my new SRB Buggy Champ. After sorting a few minor build problems, I LOVE IT ! But as I am used to cars since the TA02, was wondering if I should fit a diff or not ???

Never had an SRB when I was young , got my first Tamiya RC when I started working in London (1989/90) . Should an SRB be kept original or modified ??? Help and comments appreciated , Cheers

  4. Hi mate,

Good luck to you; it would be nice to see an offroad tracks in this area catering for 1/10th electric. Nitro is pretty well covered with the track near Rayleigh, but that track is far too big for 1/10th buggies IMO. The only other track in these parts is MERCC which is up near Chelmsford way. It's not a bad track, but a bit too grassy for my liking! Have you got a bit of land that you can use or are you looking to find some?

I think the best offroad tracks are muddy and dusty, the 3A raceway near Gatwick is a superb track to use for ideas/reference.

I currently race touring cars indoors, but if there was a good outdoor venue for 1/10th electric buggies locally I would definitely give it a go. And perhaps the venue could also be used for the occasional weekend Tamiyaclub drives too?

thanks for the reply and info.

i am currently in discussions about a plot of land - so it all depends on how that goes!

Tamiyaclub events are a definite - fingers crossed!

  5. Calling All Off Road Racers!

Is anyone in Essex, or the surrounding areas, interested in off road rc racing???

I am looking into starting a club near Billericay, Essex.

Any ideas, hints, tips from anyone would be appreciated.

What would people want from a new club and what would you expect from a track?

What classes would you want to race?

I look forward to hearing from you ,

    Happy RC Racing.
