  1. No the rear drive hex on the fighter buggy is a 12mm hex and different from the Lunchbox/Blackfoot. You can buy Mad Bull wheels though and they look identical but have the correct hex.

The Mad Bull is just a fighter buggy with a set of longer front axles and big wheels. The steering links are heavier plastic, but if I remember right the heavier links are on the parts tree so just swap them out and buy a set of Mad Bull wheels, tires & front axles. Good to go.

can i just chip in. if finances allow why not just buy a mad bull? theyre cheap enough now

  2. i think you'll find that the rear mounted motor is the perfect spot for a rwd only on road car! should help with rear traction thats for sure!
but will the front end need to be weighted to give the front wheels traction and stop understeer?

  3. Just had a look on modelsports Website and it seems like a nice bit of kit.Not as expensive as i thought either only £146. Seems like a nice base to start building on.

Not too sure on the mclaren mercedes version of it though. Wonder if theres a nice JPS lotus shell out there......

Actually ive just re read those links im and not too sure the mclaren is on the m06 chassis although modelsport have them both under the m06 grouping on the index page

  4. Am i right in thinking a smaller pinion will mean faster acceleration and less top speed if you use the same Eg 14 tooth pinion with a 46 tooth spur will be quicker off the mark than a 21 tooth pinion with the same 46 tooth spur?

  5. Lifted from another forum and a bit gruesome maybes but whats you kick the bucket wish list of stuff to do before you pop off? Doesnt have to be Tamiya related but obviously people will probably have some in there ,like have a complete collection of tl-01 kits relesed(although i suspect hank may have beaten us to that one!!)

Dont know what mine are to be honest

  6. Can anyone tell me why when the Pajero is sat on the table or the floor etc it lists to one side? When suspended off the surface the shocks are all the exact same length and nothing seems amiss. Could it just be the one side needing more shock oil?

  7. If the truck doesn`t have ball bearings, fit them first. It doesn`t take long to strip and rebuild the gearbox and it`s a cheap upgrade to do.

A pumpkin is never going to handle well. I would suggest something like a sport tuned motor which should work ok with the standard gearing. If the truck has the old mechanical speed controller and it works well I wouldn`t rush to fit an ESC. I like the old mechanical speedos in pumkins and lunchboxes, you can kick them from forward to reverse with no delay (some ESC`s have a delayed reverse function) which is better for wheelies and J turns and the kind of bashing they`re great at.

This. Lunchboxes and Pumpkins are fun trucks not racers really and don't have the set up to cope with faster motors to be honest. Both of mine had sport tuneds in and the standard teu101bk esc`s and they were plenty fast enough for some really good laughs round the park. They jump nice as well

  8. Even tho I say so myself, this is my favourite RC. And yes it`s mine B)

Thats a bit naughty of you Andy :) . I can now see another order for my third bowler shell going into kamtec after xmas

Mind i`ve got a nice cc-01 chassis to sit this one on .Mmm ideas......

No wonder i get into so much trouble with her indoors :)

  9. The one I'm doing definitely doesn't as it's an aftermarket shell from eBay (Controlfreax 6R4)

Do I get the feeling I'm gonna need to get handy with some lumps of plastic and LEDs

there was a thread on here where someone had been busy with pound shop torches.

    here you go

It was for a midnight pumpkin but might give you some pointers

  10. Not sure but I think they come on the trees that have the light reflectors on them, the parts they screw into. So you`ll probably need to look at the manual and get the part number for that tree and order the tree unless theres anyone got some lying around in the trades section. Or for a more permanant fixing you could always hold them in place with a smear of black silicone sealant. It sometimes is better cos it stops any light seeping out of the back of the reflectors
