  1. Hi all,as you know i got rid of what i had before and am looking to start a new collection.i have seen a couple that i like the look of and wondered which one is best in terms of ease of building, hop ups painting up etc.i want something thats fairly easy that i can make a really good job of.

they are the wild willy 2

a midnight pumpkin(grave digger body to follow perhaps?)

    and

    a subaru brat

    any advice

    cheers

  2. I had three cars stolen in a break-in last year. About a month later two of them turned up on the local auction site - listed by a nearby hobby shop! Here in NZ the law requires anyone who deals in second-hand goods to get some ID and address details of individuals who they buy stuff from. The hobby shop had these details and the guy was nabbed. Turns out he lived only 100m away from my factory where he stole them from! (I can see his house from my office window).

I only got two of the three cars back, but that's better than nothing.

i am sure the law here is the same but not many second hand shops bother!!!

hope he gets his stuff back anyway

  3. I stopped using my LHS as soon as i found out how cheaper it could be found on the internet.
no disrespect fella but your a fool.apart from my tamiya fascination i also play guitar.and this holds true for both hobbies.yes you can get them cheaper on the net but last wedensday i picked up my guitar for a quick play before i went to work, snapped a string and knew i wouldnt have time to go to work, come home restring me guitar and then get to rehearsals on time.so i dropped it into me local guitar shop, where i bought it went to work, came home and picked my guitar up,restrung and re set up to my liking.the lad at the shop, cos i go there for all my things knew exactly what guage string i wanted, and how i like the action on my guitar.you will never get that kind of service from an online supplier or dealer.
  4. hi

like i said mainly bashing about at the local park,so mostly off road for actual runners.as for the shelfers anything really.but what i`m after is something moderatly easy to build/hop up etc that i can make a really good job of to get me started

  5. Just as a bit of a heads up on parcel force i recently sent an guitar amplifier by their 48hrs service yet the thing was sat in a sorting depot for 3 days before they even tried to deliver it so how on earth they have the nerve to charge for 48hr service when its obviously not is beyond me.last year while i remember,my sis bought something for my daughter rom amazon.me and the missus came home from work to find a card saying that they(parcel force) had tried to deliver and i could pick up from their leeds depot the next day.a round trip of nearly twenty miles, but it was the bairns birthday so i went.got there to be told that the driver hadnt unloaded it from the van and he would be delivering it the next day.next day came and no delivery and no card. so i rang leeds depot to be told it was there and could i go and pick it up again.went through, and was kept waiting for three quarters of an hour while they found it.i know some have mentioned fed ex and ups on here but a private courier cant be as bad as parcelforce, surely?

  6.
