  1. Want Humvee wheel. Cheers
  2. Okay so this is my set up; TT01 chassis, 19t pinion, Mtroniks Sniper RV12 ESC. This is just for fun but I want a pretty fast motor. Recently tried my old Yokomo S4 17x4 motor in this set-up and it was great, but i know the ESC can take more and it could go faster Im gentle on the controls and this is just for fast straights wizzing up and down the road past my house. So what motor? I like top end speed but with a little punch so I can wheel spin if i choose. Just seen this but is it going to rock? Seems a little cheap. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/orion-method-pro-12-turn-motor/rc-car-products/394297 Cheers all Jmz
  3. Recently ran this motor and noticed it was lacklustre and pretty slow. So to rule out any faults with anything else, I tested another motor which was a higher turn with the same set up and the car went much faster. So basically this motor isn't running right. It has an adjustable end. If you imagine the motor with can down and bell at top, the top is turned fully to the left. How do i adjust this motor? and can I service it? If yes how? Cheers Jmz
  4. Had this Yokomo S4 17t motor for many years and it runs really well and is very fast even compared to lower turn motors. I recently removed it from a chassis and turned it by hand and noticed every so often it emits a squeak as though something needs a little oil or grease. Can I service this motor and if yes how? Cheers Jmz
  5. Don't need these now, just ordered off fleecebay. Would delete post but don't know how to. Cheers Jmz
  6. TT01 parts B13 front body posts x 2 Cheers Jmz
  7. Anybody got a couple of these? TT01 part B2 rear body posts. Cheers Jmz
  8. Anybody got one lying around? TT01 part A2 (gearcase/uprights) Cheers Jmz
  9. @ Dorvack: Thank you for your informative post. Unfortunately my problems are still present, hopefully if I keep searching the net and forums something will come up. It just doesn't make sense to run plastic on the rear transmission when its the rear that is taking most of the stress from the drive due to CS induced forces and loads. Also I just wish to start with 1.3ish CS and build on that. Thank you anyway Dorvack, really appreciate your time on my issues. Cheers.
  10. Queries and questions regarding the Sakura D3 I bought the rear aluminium solid axle for my Sakura D3 but it is not compatible, looks like I need other parts which consists of 2 pins 2 cups and 2 sleeves. Strange thing is theyre pictured in the paperwork you get with the aluminium rear solid axle but not in the Sakura D3 manaul bit that shows all the upgrades. I cant find these items anywhere so how am I supposed to fit the aluminium rear solid axle? I also want to upgrade the rear 30t main gear too an aluminium one but dont know where to get this, anybody know? I changed the rear 22t gear (the gear nx to the pulley gear) for a 13t gear so as to get a CS of around 1.27, problem is there is way too much slack now in the rear drive belt. Have tadjusted the rear bearing tensioners and have ran the belt teeth side around the belt tensioner, but I think there still a little too much slack, so much so that I honestly think its going to wear the belt a lot quicker, there is also the possibilty of slippage under sudden burst of throttle. Any ideas? Last question; what would the CS be if both the rear gears were 22t? (that is the pulley gear and the one next to it) Hope you can help as I just want to drift but I want the car set up how I want it and running smoothly etc. Cheers all
  11. Have a sweet Audi shell and Ta01 chassis, need posts to get both acommodated with each other.
  12. Need 2 black 1/10 scale window screen wipers for my current rally project.
  13. I should be there, be good to meet some TCers and put faces to names
  14. Big thanks to both 'Tamiya monkey' and 'Reilluor' Will check out that place for batteries. Cheers Jmz
  15. Big thanks 'Tamiya monkey' (Mark) Its for a Traxxas Slash 2wd. Fed up of breaking my Tamiyas and am always wishing they'd go faster, so after careful consideration I knew the Traxxas Slash was going to provide the fun and buzz I'm looking for. Also they look very scale and that is also one if the things about this hobby I love... realism. I plan to use the lipos to run some of my Tamiya runners too, once I've upgraded the ESC of course. Also I'll be going brushless in the Traxxas Slash after a year or so; just want my charger and batteries future proof so I buy once. Cheers James
  16. Am going lipo, but am unsure what products? Am considering the following items; Charger- Core RC UAC50 or Dynamite Prophet Sport Plus. Batteries- Black Magic 7.4 4000/35C or Voltz 7.4 3000/30C. What you guys think? Cheers James
  17. Postage not included, based in the UK. Cheers
  18. I agree Mad Ax, romance it is for me... a chance to be a child with the toys that were off limits in the past. I too prefer scale over performance... my Humvees don't perform like a CC/XC, not far off though due to my chassis mods, but they look fantastic. There is also another word that captures it for me, and that is where 1 in 1 cars come in too... passion! I absolutely love BMWs Oops! Just one more word... fun!
  19. Please check my Tamiyaclub trades for pictures. The spot lights are not included, lost them a while back. No electrics included. Has super plush oil shocks front and back and has rubber sealed bearings through-out. In pretty good condition but does have marks from wear and tare as this has been run. Comes with chassis bumper and an extra spare chrome bumper for body. LEDs fitted too. Has custom cad cut Ford decals. Also has custom metal plate fitted to the rear so body is protected if you wheelie it. £70
  20. Yes, really expensive isn't it... at the moment £9 (delivered) for a near mint 101 ESC and £11 (delivered) for a mint set of original period Wild One / Fox tyres, re-mortgage everyone. This time next year I'll own your houses and be a multi-billionaire Cheers
  21. Lots of Tamiya items on the bay still at 99p, all end tomorrow Sunday 7th early evening. Couldnt shift them on TC so thought gamble them on ebay with 99p auction style. Fox/Wild One gold plated wheels, Vintage SRB tyres and Wildone/Fox tyres, re-re SRB pinspikes, VLB chrome tree, Rally blocks, receievers, motors etc etc Cheers Jmz
  22. Thinking of going Lipo at some point but dont know much . Am considering these products: Black Magic 2S 4000mah 35C hard case batteries, maybe a Core RC charger. Any of you guys use said products and whats your experience with them? Also whats the real facts amongst all this scaremongering about fires and explosions? Is there a fire extinguisher that will put out a Lipo battery fire? (I ask this beacuse after watching burning Lipos (still in car/buggy) on youtube they dont seem to be able to extinguish it once its started, no matter how much they spray it with fire extinguisher. Cheers James
