  1. Im really partial to my "Falcon's"! I know there are some that like them, but it seems the majority of the RC world is into Big tires, wide stance's and bodies that look nothing like and Baja Racer, dune buggy, or Off road racer I have ever seen. I have nothing against vehicles like the bruiser, lunch box and so on, as they are quite realistic in my opinion.
  2. I have a decent wife, 6 horses and some cash i will put down for the wheels. Possibly a farm tractor to, but Id rather not!
  3. I think the paint job looks dam good! Some people pay buttloads of green to have an affect like that on a real car, and you did it by chance. If you cant come to terms with it, just paint the outside. Honestly it is really that big of a deal?
  4. Hows the Super falcon coming Sarge? I just smacked a berme so hard with my falcon, it busted the servo saver, and before the car could stop it smacked the side of the garage. Good times!
  5. Im making some upgrades to one of my falcons! Im still looking for dirt burners front stabilizer's and crp front shock tower support! Wondering if anybody can give me a heads up on these items, other than Ebay and there common websites? Ive searched alot of the Hop-ups stores web pages, but its possible ive missed one. I suppose I'll just have to keep watching ebay. Im also wondering if an aluminum (or upgraded) front shock tower ever existed for the Falcon? I know I have several front shock towers that have cracks around the mounting screw holes, and at the actual shock mount! Thanks for any help, Chris
  6. As a fairly new guy, I picked up a Piranha peak power charger with (2) 1800 6 cell batteries, awhile back on ebay. They were used but in great condition. Im very happy with what I got, for a cost of about $45 with shipping If I remember correctly. May not be the best but it surely aint the worst. Always looking for a deal!
  7. I totally agree with the Sarge! While I am not a racer or even a veteran RC enthusiast, I had a Falcon when they first came out, and I now have 2. They are quite tough, especially if you know where to reinforce them, as the Sargent has done. I also have a Hotshot, and other the traction factor, Im thinking the falcon will put the Hotshot to its paces. Hard to say, just thinking out loud!
  8. Mine did the same, so I tore it down, and checked things out. Once I got it back together and running I had the same noise. After having some hours on it the noise isnt nearly as bad. Im not sure if thats right, but its running (or it was until the motor fell out) and will keep running until something breaks, thats what spare parts are for.
  9. I guess it wasnt such a stupid post after all. I do appreciate all the tips! Im not new to threadlock, and Im certainly not an idiot, but sometimes you just cant see the forest for the tree's. Thanks again to all that replied. Chris
  10. I figured as much, but wasnt sure about not be able to remove the motor again, or stripping the screw heads! Thanks anyhow for the reply. Chris
  11. I know it sounds pretty stupid! I was running my Hotshot around the house yesterday quite hard, just a great time with the dogs in chase. I hit a dirt berm, which sent the car up about 2 1/2 feet and out about 4 to 5, ending up on its roof. Flipped it back over to take off again when I noticed the engine trouble. It wasnt completely out of the gearbox, but enough that the set plates fell-out. So obviously the screws loosened up. My question is, How do I guarantee they will not loosen up again, and how can I keep the set plates from falling out, if at all? Who knows, maybe the older dog got out the phillips head for the ultimate sabotage on the car!
  12. Great news, but it figures for me seeing how I just spent $65 for an original suspension Hop-up kit. Thank god I havent opened it yet, maybe I will re-sell it or save for retirement. Chris
