Hi all, Any one have any ideas what the perfect set up for my suspension. What weight oil, what springs, front and back? The track is an indoor track, a bit dusty though as it is made in a farm barn. cheers folks

Depends how much you wanna pend. i spent about 400 on my TT-01. i have upgraded literally everything possible including a carbon chassis. Start with the gear ratio. Its a cheap and effective way to get more spped/ acceleration from your car. I agree, fit an alloy motor mount and replace the dogbones for universals because mine used to pop out all the time when i was racing. Adjstable turnbuckles are also good because you can adjust the steering and get the car running straighter. Hope this helps

I know what you mean about spending so much money but radio gear alone costs 100+. And the amount of hours it took me to build it is kind of ireleveant. I find the best thing about rc is buildin my car. Its great. I could build and mod stuff all day. At first i thought i had only spent around 200! Doh! I buy things every now and again for it... spending a tenner here and twenty quid there. Its supriseing how it all adds up. What i'm really trying to say is... For anyone who has a TT-01 is that these little cars have so much scope and with a little time, love and money they can be great racers. Thanks for your comments guys...

Hi all, Finally completed my TT-01... after god knows how many hours and 400+! I raced it tonight and it went really well. It has the 3 racing carbon/graphite chassis, ball diffs, alloy upgrades (there is not one standard item left on it). Some of the guys down the club had a bash and they all said they were amazed that it is a tamiya and said that it was a competition standard car. Even i must say that i was amazed at the difference a carbon chassis made. I would definately recomend it to anyone. Why spend loads of money on a TA-05 or an Associated when you can mod a TT-01 that will give even the top racers a run for their money! Hope someone finds this helpfull as i heard a few negative reviews from racers who seemed to be more concerned about image than practicallity and originality. Cheers folks....

hi all, I know this isn't strictly a tamiya topic (sorry) but i need some advice, Just bought a Heng Long Panther rc tank. it is the non smoking version. Any ideas about what i should do first of all as regards to hopups and upgrades. I have seen metal tracks and gear boxes etc. Any good? cheers guys. Also what are your general views on these. Now i know Tamiya tanks are obviously better quality blah blah blah but hey i'm a lowly apprentice with a limited budget!

Been thinking about changing my TT-01. I have seen that there is a graphite chassis option from 3 Racing. I can get it for around 50. Is it worth a look and will it give that wanted change i am looking for. What are the advantages? cheers guys...

i'm going to be racing. It also needs to be easily upgradable and have parts readily available. TA-05 seems like a good option. are these good racers?

i'll be racing but i've only just started so just getting used to it really. My car seems a bit sluggish compared to the other pro stock cars -
Hi all. just wondering if any one has any ideas on what gearing to use in a TT-01. i have fitted it with a 19t motor. I currently run a 22t pinion with a 58t spur. Want something with better acceleration and good top speed. Any ideas? cheers folks...

yeah thats is it. the seller should state any problems or faults with an item. the fact that he said "just a few scratches" suggested to me that it had JUST a few scratches and thats it. You can't see on the picture the hash paint job (apparently sprayed using car paint!), the exessive chips, the rough cutting out and the extent of the holes around the spoiler. i will definately think twice before buying 2nd hand used rc items again! i guess this is just one of those things and it was a bit harsh saying not ot use him as he is probably a good seller.
