Hello everyone, hope all keeping safe and well... Looking for one of these ESCS if anyone can help 🤞

Always the best place for advice 😁...
Recently ventured into the Ndf-01 chassis and picked up 2 on ebay fairly cheap.. (My First Nitro) 😬
Parts still seem readily available, but I'm having difficulty finding pull starter. Most of the universals that my local rc shops stock match the case but not the one way bearing fitting ... Any advice on alternatives appreciated.
Currently using the old cases with a cobbled together new cord and spring coil, but would rather a complete new unit.
BTW... These are great cars really surprised how robust and quick they r. 😁

I was planning on leaving this kit standard as I think it's good enough out the box performance wise... Not really decided on motor yet, but was contemplating sticking with a full tamiya brushless set up... I tested it tonight with an old 2700kv smd brushless set up... Was smooth but slow on acceleration... Thinking that might have been down to gearing though as I only had a 27t pinion to hand

They are great chassis even though older still very capable. Can still get plenty upgrades for it as well!
Thanks for reply... Have you had one of these and what t pinion did you use on the stock spur?... I tested it tonight but only had a 27t for the stock 48pitch and acceleration was slow...

Not going crazy with this one... Was thinking 15.5t tamiya brushless set up... And keep as standard..?

Check out the link, and the link within on installation as need some spacers. Below is pic of mine installed.. Hope this helps 👍
Also if you go for this conversion will need the non tamiya motor mount so you can have much more pinion options.

First thing i remember is the worn out Tamiya Magazine, i believe it even replaced my xxx magazines under the «pillow» for a period, i think i was around 11-13 and after looking in the Magazine and going to the store just watching the box art several times for hours i finaly went for Black Foot. I still can remember some of the other models in that shelf, im sure it was Subaru Brat (because i almost choosed that), The Frog (i think they also had TGH, Wild Willy), im sure there was many more but those where the chosen ones. A friend of my dad built it and i remember him telling me that he was not that into building these sort of kits but more into racing, i later got one of his buggy RC cars but i could not handle it, it was crazy fast so it was just collecting dust pretty fast as i gave it up, sadly i lost thid RC car not that many years ago when moving, i often think about it and wonder what RC car it was, especially now when i picked up the hobby again and know so much more about it compared to back then, i have vague memories of a rubber band making it 4wd, a Orange motor, spikey tires and alminium oil dampers (remember they did not work at one point and i did not know what to do about it).
So back to the Black Foot, i had some great fun with it and i remember my friends had The Grasshopper and that white Jeep with spare tire on body that i do not remember the name of right now. For some reason i badly wanted The Grasshopper and did even at some point regret i picked Black Foot. Which is the reason for it bieng the first kit i bought from TimeTunnel picking this hobby up again and i love it! :). At some point back i got s issue with Black Foot that i could not fix and it was no Ebay, Internet or other ways to help me fix it at that time so that was sadly the end of it.
Bought Agrios recently and that is probably the adult version of Black Foot :), having some great times with it now in the snow with my daughter. I almost went for Bruiser... oh this got me started its far to late now
Worn out magazine... Love that.. Still got one😁

I have just put a 10BL120 with a 5.5t motor into my TT02 and can not wait to do some runs tomorrow, hopefully they wont be so much ice about so I can put down some good times.
I do think the tt02 chassis is one of tamiyas best for speed if u fully modify... I started this chat based on my tt02b which is fully upgraded... Its a cheap entry base model with so much potential... The key is removing the gear cover and buying a fibrelyte brace, gives u so much more pinion options...

Also have the wheelie bar on mine. I’ve since upgraded to a GoolRC brushless system and it is even more bonkers now . If you haven’t already invested in ball bearings kit he ( or you) will get even more enjoyment out of it
He only 6😂... But can't believe how well he drives... The stock RTR bigfoot gives u a 50% option on the esc which I use for him otherwise could be dangerous... 😬.. Agree the thing is bonkers...

Mine is a vintage 1994ish era Chassis with modern brushless gear internals/ output shafts and full ball bearings throughout. Also runnning the Bigfoot wheels. So basically the same Truck as your Son’s ( with a different body ) in fact I was running the Titan XL5 at the time
So virtually the same truck as him.Curiousity ? Which Bigfoot did your green t him ? The Classic Bigfoot #1 body or the modern Stadium style Bigfoot?
The classic... He is obsessed with monster trucks so loves it.... Must admit it is fun to drive, but I had to buy the aftermarket wheelie bar as the thing just lifts and rips the back end of shell...

What is everybody using for speedometers?

My brushed Traxxas Stampede hit 29mph on 6200mah 50C 2S. At least according to a Phone GPS speedo app.
I can imagine... I bought my boy the traxxas big foot which I think is a stampede... That thing flies out the box... He still prefers his hornet though 😁

Agree, great topic👍👍... Some proper good vintage photos..
I got into RC in mid 80s, can remember staring at the cars in Beaties shops 😂... First car was blackfoot, ended up with about 5....came out of hobby for years, then dipped into the re-releases a bit... Then a couple of years ago dad died, so I suppose as a part of dealing with that I started completely refurbishing all my original vintage back to perfect condition... We used to build them together so this helped and relived good memories 😁... Then once u start you get hooked again...
Everyone has a story👌
