  1. i've all ready added an led to the the unit dont want to over do the mfu

I have 2 reversing lights on my Scania R620 unit, so if you have one on your unit, then adding a reversing light to your trailer would not make much difference to the MFU. if I decide to do this mod I will remove one of the reversing lights from the unit and stick it in the tamiya trailer I am building at the moment

there is a video of a Bruder trailer is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4QLgxsMEAI and it shows the reversing lights on the unit, but no reversing light on the trailer,

  2. How do peeps do it?

    cheers ste

you could cut the wires to the units reversing lights and splice in a plug socket to go onto the back of the cab like the trailer light set and add the reversing lights to the trailer and plug them into the new socket on the back of the cab, just an idea I am considering

  3. but if you were going to put a wooden top on the reef you could use one piece if thin ply wood and replace it with the plactic?

then score grooves in to it for a realistic look ?

Hi mate the plastic decking is only temporary I have some Balsa wood sheet on order and am going to cut that into planks and glue that onto the grey support strips that is holding the plastic deck on

  4. I bought a tamiya 3 axle reefer and have built it as a flat bed leaving off the reefer body and stuff I used part off the front inner headboard and ally side piece to make a shorter headboard as in a 1:1 trailer

the kit is built up in the normal way until you get above the deck part I am going to cover the deck with strips of Balsa wood to simulate planking

the reason the unit is green is because it was bought and built as tank transporter with a bruder lowloader that has been stretched, the flat bed trailer will also end up green when it has been decked and the headboard finnished off

  5. some more pictures, the truck is painted NATO green and black because it will be used to demonstrate loading and unloading the Leopard 2A6 at the public displays at the tank club that I belong to, the electronics in the tactor unit are only a tempory solution until the MF unit arrives, I have replaced the stock motor with a Novak 55 to slow the truck down after all it is a truck and not a F1 GP car

  6. There is a link in the FAQ section from tamiya.com with that shows how to setup the sherman for 4ch use.

    thanks for that

I got the Sherman this afternoon via parcel force and I am going to set it up the same way as I set up my Jagdpanther so that the drive and steering is on the right stick and the turret and gun is on the left stick

I said in an earlier post that it was a kit but it is not it has been built and is second hand. with this in mind I am going to replace the tracks and sprockets with T66 type from impact and replace the bushes in the road wheels with ball races and replace the idler mount as well, again with the impact item, I am also looking at freeing up the return rollers as the are jammed tight and do not run as the should. I may also replace these with impact return rollers as well if the dismantling process damages them

the attached picture is from the seller of the Sherman
