  1. Hiya Ben. You should put a wants ad at the "sales, trades & wanted" section here in this forum.
  2. Well, all of the promotional pictures I have seen for the Bruiser show the truck with the chassis frame painted black, but the original manual book does not say a thing about it, not even as an option. A total difference from the unfortunate re-release of the Bruiser in the early 90's: all of the promo pictures of the "Mountaineer" show the frame unpainted, which is not as shiny as the chrome customization some people like for their trucks. I agree with you Gamester: it all seems to be a mystery.
  3. TWO MORE PROMOTIONAL PICTURES OF THE 1985 TOYOTA 4X4 BRUISER. YES, THE CHASSIS WAS PAINTED BLACK.
  4. Thank you guys! Oh, the new Unimog looks neat. Tire/wheel combination could have been a lil bigger. My father used to have the same Unimog. It was orange. If he could understand that this hobby is not rubbish, then I think he'd love the new model. Anyway, I would love to have one if they ever release a hardbody version of it. I am not against Tamiya making 100 different models with the CC-01, because it truly is a fantastic chassis, but why can't we have hard bodies. There is too much lexan and tinted windows around nowadays! What's going on with you TAMIYA?? Oh, well... still... the new Unimog looks beautiful. You all have a nice Friday! EB --
  5. Hey y'all I have just heard Tamiya will release a new Unimog bodied CC-01 off-road vehicle. Seemingly, it will be presented at the Nuremberg toy fair in Deutschland. I was hoping and wishing if someone going there can upload a picture or two of it?
  6. Yeah, the CC-01 Unimog sounds (and looks) very nice. Unfortunately, no hard body for that one
  7. Awesome books, Alistair! That's a super nice picture of the Toyota 4X4 Bruiser flying. It's a promo shot I have never seen before! Hope you can upload more pictures when you keep finding such amazing items. --
  8. I'm very happy that Tamiya was not involved in the process of making the real size sand scorcher, because Walter did it the best possible way. He make the car look like the original Sand Scorcher, with the period decals and the legendary Acoms radio. The car is really a dream-come-true!!
  9. My highest (2440 views) is a How-To-Guide that shows how to make an SRB driver with a Black Foot one: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...0&sid=23692 My lowest (223 views) is my old orange Mad Cap racer: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...1&sid=23692 Y'all have a nice Wednesday!! 10. I'm with you there Badboy. It would be great if Walter would do that. Also, I would love to see the video, because I have seen cameras there.
  11. Yes, the original CVA shocks that the MB comes with are pretty hard. I have set a Black Foot truck with four gold Kyosho aluminum shocks that are much softer and work very good. The handling of my BF, which has much harder tires than the MB's, improved a lot. And these shocks are great for landings too. I know there must be other brands out there, but the Kyoshos I have work very good. Have fun and enjoy your Tamiyas, Ben! PS. Don't forget to show some pictures of your cars sometime!
  12. Ha ha, who wouldn't like such thing!
  13. Now all this makes me wonder if, apart of the body posts, will there be any more differences, now between the Buggy Champ and the soon-to-be-released Buggy Scorcher.
  14. Welcome to the club, Steve. And thank you for sharing some memories, too. I was thinking... somebody could be really unhappy of receiving a Leopard tank as Christmas present? He he he. Anyway, yes, the Sand Scorcher will be out any time now. I suppose you're aware of the different VW body? Have a good one! EB --
  15. Well, back in the good old days Monster Trucks were named with the most interesting names, Big Foot, Taurus, etc... A nickname seemed to be an important part of making the product an exciting thing. Nowadays, kids are different and they get excited by these code-like names, TT-01, CR-01 and the like.
  16. I have no idea either, but I have always been surprised by the creativity they have put in making all these awesome models!
  17. The first one is in good hands! I really don't think I've seen a cooler car since the Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee!
  18. Windows for the new Scorcher will be slightly tinted, at least that is how it is been presented. Seemingly Tamiya think all cars now have tinted windows
  19. Walter you're the best, congratulations, the car is really awesome. Such a sight to behold!!
  20. Very nice job, Ben. You should post this on the sales and trades section to get more attention. Oh, and by the way, this will be of use to Monster Beetles, Mud Blasters, and Black Foot trucks. Frogs, Lancias and Brats they don't use the motor spacer. Have a nice weekend! EB --
  21. Yeah, it would the amazing if they could take the car to a beach and check themselves why do they call it the Sand Scorcher!
  22. I understand your feeling about it, Paul. But if they were to use a different body, then they must use a different name for the car.
  23. Re: bodies. Here's a side by side picture (models belong to Irish TamiyaClub member Regressing!). A genuine Sand Scorcher body and a Monster Beetle body adapted to fit the SRB chassis. I personally believe the re-release of such an iconic model as the Sand Scorcher without the original body is the wrongest thing ever, but that is just my opinion.
  24. Oh, goodness! This is AWESOME!!! http://blogsimages.skynet.be/images_v2/002...24b0a29af4a.jpg
  25. I like the white/red combination for the Monster Beetle. As for the purple shell, yes, looks nice. I am interested. Have a look at the pair of tires and the pinion + adapter, and also how they fit the Monster Beetle rims. Just let me know.
