  1. I think you are right, Adam. I have been thinking, about the unfortunate day I will have to let go and sell all these models, I would like to have a good Tamiya picture book.
  2. Hiya Wills! Are you trying to say the replacement will be easier to find now that the Buggy Champ is out in the streets? Have a nice day! EB --
  3. The TEN best ones (my two cents): 1) Clod Buster (1987) * 2) Toyota 4x4 Bruiser (1985) * 3) Sand Scorcher (1979) + 4) Sherman Horwitzer (1974) + 5) Toyota 4x4 (1981) + 6) Super Champ (1982) * 7) Black Foot / Monster Beetle (1986) * 8) King Hauler (1992?) + 9) Toyota Hilux 4x4 high-Lift (2007) * 10) Toyota Land Cruiser CR-01 (2008) + * = I have it in my collection. + = I don't have it, probably never will. Unless, of course, if I come across one at a garage sale or a fleamarket
  4. Okay, anybody can help me with this? I'm trying to join and the dang process won't let me in, and furthermore, the password they sent me will NOT let me in.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm looking for the black rubber shock boots for the 1985 Toyota 4X4 Bruiser model. New or used (as long as they are not ruined). Anybody has some for sale or trade? Y'all have a nice Thursday! EB --
  6. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a pair of Ubolts for the fog light bar of the 1986 Monster Beetle. Anybody has some for sale or trade? Y'all have a nice Thursday! EB --
  7. Hey, Ribbit! Of all of the Tamiya R/C models out there I wonder why would you go for the Lunch Box. My first Tamiya was a Midnight Pumpkin, which has the same chassis. It was such a blast to drive! By the way, I got the TamiyaClub repro Budweiser decals you mentioned a while ago. Let me know if you want them. Best regards, EB --
  8. Hey Adam! Unfortunately, the catalogs can not be seen online. Tamiyabase has scans but only for the R/C sections. It would be nice if someone could upload some pictures of the DAX. Thanks! EB --
  9. Hey Tamiya 1/10! Actually, there is a reissue for the 1/6 Honda Monkey out in hobby stores these days, but the Monkey is not the DAX. Sad thing. Oh, and yes, the DAX was released in the 70's. Best regards, EB --
  10. Hey everyone, I am trying to find a broken bed-cab for the 1985 Toyota 4x4 Bruiser truck. I only need the extra cab to be in good shape so I can cut it off and "correct" a Montaineer body (and finally get rid of the dang roll bar!) If you have one for sale or trade for parts, just let me know. You all have a great Wednesday! EB --
  11. I guess most of us found this place the same way, and with the very same reaction. :-)
  12. Oh, WOW. Welcome aboard, BruiserBrew!!! Your collection looks great!!! Best regards, EB --
  13. Thanks so much, Andy! Well, the link finds me pretty much in a complex money situation but I'll shoot my dices. Would really love to grab a hold of it -one of the most beautiful scale models EVER. Anyway, there is no place on TC for static kits? This DAX model kit looks much better than 80% or so of the R/C models Tamiya's been doing for the last 20 years. Best regards, EB --
  14. Hey y'all, I been wandering around the Tamiya Club, and this forum as well, trying to find some info and pictures of a particular Tamiya static kit. The one I'm after is the Tamiya DAX motorbike that does not seem to be available new anymore. Anybody has one that can share pictures with me? Or any info about it? Or is there a place for Tamiya static kits in here? Y'all have a good day! EB --
  15. 22 TamiyaClub e-mails on my inbox this morning told me the problem was fixed. THANK YOU! EB --
  16. THANKS FOR THE INFO! You have a nice day! EB --
  17. Hello everyone. Can anybody tell me if the body FOX posts are the same as the ones the FROG use? Thanks in advance. Best regards, EB --
  18. Hey Dwayne, If I was you, I'd wait a few months for the release of the Buggy Champ (if it was not already released by now). Prices of the SRB cars have been dropping these days, and I believe Tamiya will later rerelase the Sand Scorcher, too. I believe something around $200 would be a proper price for used Scorchers. Best of luck with the search. Scorchers are indeed one of the most beautiful RC model cars ever done. Best regards, EB --
  19. Can't blame you for being a big 80's Monster Truck fan. Well, yes and no. The trucks you mention sure had longer wheelbase, but the Clod Buster was made after the 1985-6 Bear Foot C-30 Silverado, and that one was as short as the Tamiya model. In the pic I am showing three examples, Chevrolet S-10 Lil' Bear Foot (1985), Awesome Kong II (73wheels, 1985), and the third one (could not get one better) is the Silverado Bear Foot. Might try to find a better picture later. The Samson 1 truck, that very often is been called the 1:1 Clod Buster was modified many times through the years, as much as any of the other Monster Trucks in the States. The interesting thing is to compare the wheelbase of the model that Tamiya wanted to scale down to the 1:1. Other thing to keep in mind if you look closely, is the fact that the Clod runs a bit too high on its wheels.
  20. The chassis may look too short for nowadays Monster Trucks. As a matter of fact, it is very much scale to what Monster Trucks used to be back in the mid 80's. Have a look at this vid and see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph4Q_0RgJlg Y'all have a great Sunday!
  21. I have the same feeling. Questions are: who should I ask about it? And if I was a paid up TC member, would have happened the same thing to me?
  22. (I don't know where to post this, or whom to talk about this to, so i hope to get some hints from someone in the know) Hey there, I don't know the reason, but for the last two weeks or so I have not been receiving e-mail notifications from the TamiyaClub forum. I checked both my setting at TC forum and Hotmail and they are okay. Any clue as to what is going on? Thanks. Best regards, EB --
  23. It will not be hard, or expensive, to find tires for the Bush Devil. There is a large selection of 2.2 tires on eBay, TC trades or your LHS. Good luck with the search and be sure to share some pictures of your truck! Best regards, EB --
