Hey. You might find them stickers on eBay.com Good luck! EB --

Hey Y'All, I'm in the middle of a restoration of a Tamiya 1987 Clod Buster 4x4x4 truck and I'm still in need of some parts: - TWO original 13T pinions - ONE front light (just one) part # K1 - TWO differential dust covers part # B7 I don't need them to be brand new. Used will be alright, as long as they are NOT broken. If someone, has them, please reply with prices. I'm in Santiago de Chile and I'm paypal-ready. Thanks in advance and y'all have a GREAT 2009!

Oh, yeah... now I found it! How I wish I'd have that sticker! And yes, the Hilux 4WD plates are the extra ones included with the High-Lift kit. You have to look twice to notice they are similar but not really the same as the original used in the 1981 tamiya pick-up or the 1:1 Toyota display truck. This is it. But never as cheap as paper and scotch tape! : http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/produ...l-paper_151.htm By the way who drives your Bruiser, a doctor? Have a good one!!

Thanks so much, Andy. Merry Christmas!!!

That's the most interesting thing in your Bruiser truck. Because that "4 wheel drive" sticker is not made by Tamiya. I doublechecked the scans I have of all three Toyota pick-up models that were done by tamiya (Toyota 4x4, Bruiser, and Mountaineer) and it's not there. It's a great thing because it's exactly like the one that's in the tailgate of the 1:1 Toyota pick-up. I want to have one of those!
-
Obviously, I like your Bruiser truck a LOT. It's still the impossible dream to me. Anyway, I was interested in the way you finished the tailgate of your pick-up. At first I had the door handles painted silver on my Toyota, but then, comparing it to the actual truck, I learnt that it was not correct. I would like to have the 4 wheel drive sticker that you have there. Where did you find it? Anyway, I'm attaching a picture of the 1:1 Toyota SR-5 Hilux, so you can see the tailgate. Merry Christmas, Wills, and you have a great 2009!!!

Okay, Wills! Here's how the truck looks with your help. (Burt Reynolds' on the wheel, BTW) THANK YOU !!!
-
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You were always there when I needed some info or help- this is just what I needed. My cousin will print them for me tomorrow -I'll upload some pictures as soon as the rollbar is finished. MERRY CHRISTMAS, and thank you again!!

Hey guys, Please help! Title says it all. I need a scan of the Mountaineer rollbar light covers, you know, the blue BL thing. I can get them printed on paper and then put the paper between two pieces of clear tape. It's a good solution, I just did it with the interior radio and indicators and they look great. You all have a great week.

High Lift's emblem stickers are terrible. They come off too easily. I'm very sorry tamiya does not give you an option for them. And, worst of all, you can't purchase a new set again. My own truck says "lux 4W". I HATE this stupid modification... stickers for emblems, c'mon... Anyway, have a great Sunday! EB --

Super Champ With Scorcher Body?
mongoose1983 replied to mongoose1983's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hi! I still have the Beetle body (1987 version) but I have not tried to use it yet. I now have a GF, and dont have more money to keep my hobby up. Anyway, I think I am going to buy a beat up chassis to restore and in time I will have a true Sand Scorcher better. You have a great weekend! EB -- -
Thanks, Zakspeed. Actually, I started having this problem by the time I changed the position of the shocks. Will try to get them where they were, but it is very frustrating that you can't really use the full potential of it. :-( Thanks again and have a great day! EB --

Hey you! I thought some of you guys would be interested in seeing a picture of the 1:1 Toyota pick up truck. It's the first time I see a picture of the real thing -Must admit I was a bit dubious of its existence. All the best to Y'all! EB --

Hey people, I'm need a scan of the Mountaineer rollbar light covers, you know the blue "BL" thing. Please help me if you can. You all have a great week! EB --

Hey everyone, I'm experiencing a problem with my Futaba 3-channel radio these days. I am using it to control a three-speed truck, so I use the 3rd channel to control the speed shift. Well, originally, my radio comes with a "dimmer" sort of third control. I have had no problem with it to control the speed shift, but I wanted a three step toggle control better, so I got the original Futaba replacement. I tried with the wires in every possible way but it just can't control the shifting properly. It just doesn't work! I wonder if anybody out there has a clue on how to replace the original control for this one. Please help me. Thanks in advance and y'all have a nice day! EB --

Hey everyone, I am nowadays experiencing a problem with my 1990 Madcap 2WD car. Everytime I run it, the right dogbone of the tranny slips for some strange reason. Anybody has any idea on what is causing this? Anybody has a clue on how to fix this problem? Y'all have a great Wednesday! EB --

Yes, the Hilux, with them stock tiny wheels, and the depressing surf rich kid modifications, dark glass, dark chrome, horrible fat shocks, and so overboardly lifted. You have to admit you have to deal with LOTS of imagination to think this is a beautiful truck in its stock version. Look what I had to do with it to make it look just half decent: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...60&id=13236 You have a good day! EB --

The worst looking Tamiya ever made is a tie between the Striker and any of the High-Lifts trucks. The stock Toyota High-Lift is WAY too ugly. My two cents. Best to you all, EB --

Bl Stickers For The Mountaineer
mongoose1983 replied to mongoose1983's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hi again Wills! Sadly, they are not the same. The sticker sheet of the High-Lift is, as most of this truck, a sad and depressing thing. I been looking on the internet for a scan. That is all I need, I don't have a penny to pay repros, but I know the paper print can help me finish the rollbar in a good way. If someone can scan just one of the blue BL cover, well, that is what I need. Thanks for reading, EB -- -

Hey Y'All! Just a bunch of pictures... of a BULLHEAD (Tamiya, 1990) Monster Truck. Wish you all a great Sunday! EB --

To Spetz83: More pictures. The truck in the picture on the previous reply is King Kong NOT Bear Foot. My mistake. But it's from 1981 indeed. Well, I decided to upload more pictures, now with Bear Foot for you to check the use of them rims (wheels)... Cheers! EB --
-
To Spetz83: These rims I'm using are actually very accurate. What I had in mind when I built this High Lift wasn't just the Bruiser truck, but the early 80's mudbog trucks, you know, before what we call Monster Trucks ever existed (the first one to use the standard Monster Truck tires was Big Foot, from ST-Louis MO, but that was back in 1983). The largest mudboggers would go on 46" and 48" Firestone terra tires. Pretty much like the Bruiser's. That means, NO, I won't change the rims (wheels) I'm using because I'm very happy with them! Anyway, just watch how Fred Shafer's BEAR FOOT looked like on 48 inchers back in 1981: To 94eg!: Ha ha ha... I dunno how you do it, but that driver really looks like Harrison Ford!!! To Saito: Now that you mention it... Captain Peg-Leg really looks a bit like Lando Calrissian. Anyway, supposedly, my toy figure depicts a XVIII century British pirate, a blue-eyed white man whose skin was heavily tanned by some heavy sun exposure while sailing the world away... Those pirates would make my mind fly away in time... Oh, well... Thanks, guys! I hope you all have a great Sunday!!! EB --

Maybe I'm too conservative when it comes to classic models, but I have a Super Champ myself, and rather than having it painted diff (still in a vintage fashion), I would not modify it for any reason. If you want to run a fun thing, then there are thousand models out there to just go out and bash, but MODIFYING an SRB comes to me as a sacrilege, man! Anyway, whatever you decide to do with your Champ, I wish you the best of luck! EB --
