Hey Y'all, I couldn't find the "who drives your Tamiya", so I post this in here. I'm nowadays reworking the cab of my Hilux High Lift. I think I'll finish it sometime next month BUT, in the meantime, tonight I tried the looks of my 1973 Lesney-Matchbox Captain Peg-Leg over the empty cab. I don't know what y'all think but I was surprised to see how cool he looked as a driver. Well, time for me to ask... who drives your Tamiya? Cheers and best to you all !!! EB --

Thanks for the note, A. Ortiz. Well, I don't have a (real) car. I live in a Third World country. I'm not poor, but I'm a humble man and I can not afford a car. Best regards, EB --

Hi 53HRA !! Thanks so much for the reply. I would appreciate that! If you can take one of them side-by-side then that would help me a lot. Have a great Sunday! EB --

Hiya Steve, I'm aware of that, thanks! I'd only like to find a picture to check how they look side-by-side, so I could compare the height diffs. I mean body shells, of course. Have a great Sunday! EB --

Hi, I'm here -still can't run my Rc cars! I dunno what is going on but for some reason the system won't send me notifications to my e-mail. If you can help me please let me know. I can't believe all this time has passed and I haven't got the e-mail. Will PM you asap. Thank you and best regards! EB --

Thanks! I already have those pictures in the catalogs, but sadly, they never show a side by side picture. I mean so I can check the size difference. But I thank you for your reply!! Best regards, EB --

Hey everyone, I been looking some time for a side by side picture of these Tamiya Monster Trucks, but I haven't found anything yet. If someone knows about a site or maybe a TC showroom where they have a side by side comparison, would you please let me know? That's in advance. Thanks everyone and a great Sunday to Y'all !!! EB --

Hi Bryn, Thorps aftermarket ball-diff are VERY expensive. They pop up from time to time on eBay, but frankly, for that kind of price you can get, say, eight Tamiya original gearboxes. Best of luck with the Beetle. It really is a cool one in the classic Tamiya catalogue. Have a nice day! EB --

Sorry to hear about your problems. I certainly believe you MUST open a dispute, and inform about it. Otherwise, if you keep quiet about the incident, the guy (TC member or not) will have the chance to do that again to any of us Tamiya enthusiasts! So please go and just open that dispute! Very best regards, EB --

What Is This Chain Driven 4wd Truck?

Hiya! Not 100% sure, but it looks like a Kyosho to me. A sweet chassis by the way! Best regards and have a nice weekend! EB -- -
Hey Stuart, There are more Rangers up on eBay this week. A good project is this one, and it has a Grasshopper as extra! Item: 330267804450 Good luck and have a great Wednesday! EB --

I wasn't saying the LHS owner attitude was ethically correct. Actually it was a bit awful. But you got to see, in the end, eBay will always be all about the one who offers more money. Have a nice Tuesday! EB --

Sorry Swarm, but I believe what Willy Chang had to say is TRUE. I been eBaying for the last ten years. And been outbid in the last second a hundred or more times, and I sure outbid quite a few fellows too, but, in the end... eBay is as fair as your bid. I believe when collecting Tamiyas or anything else patience REALLY pays. I wish you better luck next time. Best regards, EB

You sure it's the same? I noticed the inside looks thinner. I thank you all guys for helping me! Best regards, EB --

Thanks, guys! To fatboyslim: It says "1A". Not sure what you mean by "end caps" though. I'll include a picture of the charger here for you to see. To grizy: Not sure why the fuse blow. But here in this country, we use 220 volts, and the charger, being from the States, uses 110 volts so I always have to use a transformer. This year I started using a smaller transformer, and I noticed some strange scent. Then the charger wouldn't charge anymore. I tested it again with the larger transformer I use on the TV set, but it didn't work anymore. I checked both fuses and the 1A was ruined. That's it! Yeah, it's 1 1/4" long. I don't have the fuse here where I'm writing you from tonight, but the one thing I remember is that it says "1A". Do you need the other numbers, if any. LHS...? I live in Santiago de Chile, a country that's far away in South America. I could have found this darn fuse in any decent electronics store anywhere else, BUT they just don't carry this sort of stuff in here. I.E. A couple of months ago I went to the LHS for a couple of coils and they didn't have any. That's the sort of LHS we have in here. Get a new kit or nothing. This is a poor country, and supposedly, people shouldn't have hobbies like this! Most everything you need you'll have to get it from abroad, just like with this fuse. If I was in the US I would have got me a charger like this for $5. But you see, a charger like this weights sometimes more than a whole R/C car and I'd have to pay $50 to cover shipping costs. Anyway, if you could let me know where I can write and order one, then that would be great. Thanks in advance! Y'all have a great Friday! EB --

Toyota 4x4 (81) - Bruiser Interiors
mongoose1983 replied to mongoose1983's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Thanks so much, Jerome! Just what I needed to know. Have a great day! EB -- -
Hey Y'all. I posted this a few hours ago. Seemingly, on the wrong thread... Hey fellas, I'm nowadays in a very unpleasant situation. I can't charge batteries no more because the 1A fuse of my Astroflight 114 Charger got ruined. Problem is I can not find a replacement for it here where I'm living. My only chance to find one is from abroad, but I don't know where to start. Is there anybody out there to give me a hint as to where can I find it? Thanks y'all in advance! EB -- Please, if you can help stop by and take a look at the picture of the fuse at: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45249

Hey y'all, Is there anybody able to tell the differences between the Bruiser and the Toyota 4x4 (1981) interiors ? I'm looking for a size comparison between these two. I think the Bruiser goes a bit higher in the Hilux cab, but I'm not sure about it. Thanks in advance! EB --

Hey Hunter, Well, have you got them wheels yet? Any pictures of your truck to share? Cheers, EB --
-
Hi James! My wheels are Kyosho. Tires are Tamiya All traction utility (Bruiser). Scale depends on what you want. You see I've heard some rubbish saying these Bruiser tires are not "scale". Well, they probably never got to see real 48" Firestone tires used in mining and agriculture. The Bruiser was based on real mudbog trucks from the early 80's. I'll include a picture of the real 1:1 wheels too. Regards, and best of luck finding the best wheels/tires combo for your Hilux! EB -- PS. Please make sure to post pictures of your truck too!

Big Foot was the first one (along King Kong and USA-1), The Grave Digger always had a strong following, but in 1989 NONE in the world was any better than the EQUALIZER !!! The world Champion Monster truck from Springfield, TN !!!

Hey y'all, Last I post this at the trade section. I just wasn't aware about a Kyosho section! Well, the body is painted red, has the decals and it also has all the cuts for the muffler. It is in used condition, and has a couple of cracks in the rear. I'd say it's OK for a runner but not for a shelfer. BTW, I'm throwing with the body a NIP original Kyosho nut set #1177. I would take a MadCap or Saint Dragon body in exchange. It's for a runner, so the condition isn't that important to me. Otherwise I'm open to offers. Shipping worldwide is about $15. If anybody is interested in pictures of it just let me know. That's for now. Y'all and have a great weekend!! EB --
