  1. cheers both look like options. What is involved in servicing a motor changing brushes ect. and is it difficult.
  2. where is the best place to get one?
  3. No body i'm open to any kind of swap? doesn't have to be a full kit. This has all electrics and is fully working must be a little interest other wise i'll give it a good bashing maybe put 14.4 v through it.
  4. I have got a carbon centre deck on mine at the moment but might remove it as i want to put front and rear stabiliser set on but not sure which I want yet.
  5. had a look I've got a brand new unopened motor heat sink if it's of any interest to you?
  6. OK guys I've got two vintage hornets and one re-re so thought I'd give one of the originals a bit of TLC and get rid of it as i don't need three. I've rebuilt it from scratch and replaced all necessary parts with unused bits i think all are original so no re-re bits in there but all in great condition. It's painted in red and obviously has signs of general use. has battery cover in place, all complete apart from the rear spoiler. all body posts etc. and all other commonly broken parts are fine. original msc with Denes connector fitted however i can put a tamiya connector back on if necessary. Comes complete with original Sanwa transmitter and servos/receiver. The only thing that needs replacing is the battery pack for the transmitter which is also no big task and a spoiler if you want. I've tested it all and had it buzzing around the living room today and running as it should. no box or instructions but i can include instructions if necessary. Looking to swap for any tamiya RC model as long as it's not a hornet or any other goods eg. radio gear batters etc. I already own quite a few re-re's so ideally something vintage but open to any offers. on road off road whatever. Don't mind condition we can always negotiate and i like a challenge. Even tho i love running all my models i enjoy just as much restoring and building them. Cheers for reading Christian
  7. i've got an ally prop shaft if thats of any interest. plus bearings
  8. my packs are 3300 's and i have quite a few and a good charger for them so run times are not too big a problem. So i am happy with the 15 turn. Compared to the stock silver can and the sports tuned it is far far quicker almost as quick as i can handle. What difference will a decent 15 or 19 turn motor show me? for the money you can't go wrong with the Ansmann and I'm not in to motor maintenance so seem the right choice for me. What is a good low maintenance decent 15 or 19 turn motor that will give me more power?
  9. what do you recommend, I think the Ansmann is great for the price it's a 15 turn. I also have some sports tuned but this is a lot quicker my esc goes down to 13 i think. What is a good choice and how much am i looking at paying?
  10. Hi yeah that would be great anything is better than nothing it's the last peice of the puzzle. Can i have it?
  11. which black foot parts do you need i'm restoring a monster beetle on the same chassis but just need a shock tower to finish, i have a few spare bits laying around. If you see a shock tower anywhere please let me know.
  12. tt-01 as standard are limited! But i love mine
  13. have to disagree the tt-01 with the right upgrades is every bit as drivable as the ta-chassis. I have several of both types but don't rule the tt-01 there are loads of upgrades available and it is very tunable. saying that as standard ta's are normally better in stock form.
  14. I've got a front and rear stabilizer kit to go on it too will this make a lot of difference. Bit reluctant to take the carbon strut off tho.
  15. Ok i think i've done nearly everything i can to this bar a new chassis. What do you all think? also any advice seting it up as i've built it up over a year but not really if i've got it running 100% Had really good fun putting it together tho. And boi does it shift. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  16. is it worth getting the twin battery conversion?
  17. As title says i need a front shock tower for my monster beetle same as the Blackfoot chassis. If anyone has one it's the last bit i need for my restoration project, Been looking on ebay for a while now but keep missing my chance. Can't wait to finish it it's boxed with a manual all ball raced and complete body work. One bit left so if any one can help i would be very appreciated, I have loads of spares so if i can do a swap even better. Cheers as always guys!
  18. wicked that gives me something to work with to start with ill get it all finished and tell you how i get on then no doubt be back to ask your advice. Been really really helpful many thanks to you both. cant wait to get some good weather and a chance to get going on it.
  19. cool thanks for the sound advice! How do you sugest i set it up i know the stabalisers have different options and the shocks are all adjustable. I'm mostly bashing on tarmac but do a little drifting which i have a set of wheels for when i feel up for it. what else can i adjust? except the toe in and cambers and how should i set these up? i love tinkering so should be fun getting the most out of it? I've got a nsx raybrig 2004 shell in sky blue. looks quite cool but was thinking of putting a brat shell on it!
  20. looking very nice. i like the shell too! i already have all the other hop ups. i have everything except new arms and knuckles/uprights. I think i need the arms before i can fit my stabalizers. Shame you cant get ally arms with the mounting holes! How much difference did you notice with all the hop ups. Mine was standard last time i ran it. Now it has nearly everything. spent hundreds on it. nearly all of it is fitted cant wait to get it running just need the arms for now. I'm running a 15 turn ansman and futuba 13 turn esc. and a 3800 batt I have..... ally suspension arm mounts. ally gear box cover and shock mount oil filled ally shocks. ally wheel adapters universal joints full bearings steering linkages and setup turnbuckles ally prop shaft and bits that go on each end of it ball diffs x two front and back carbon upper deck sabalizers (unfitted) front and rear deans connecters motor heat sink ally motor mount urethane bumper and ally bumper stopper alloy battery posts alloy servo mounts I wanted to have a play with the gearing but not really sure where to start. ie. new pinion and spur? Is there any thing else i can do? apart from the uprights/knuckles and arms? I'll try and get some pics up if i can find my camera
  21. Okay I've started to put some bits on to my tt-01 i got numerous upgrades now and spent about 200 quid so getting there now. I got some stabilizers front and rear and only just found out that i need adjustable upper arms and carbon upper frame to fit them? so i already had about the upper deck but still running standard arms. if i upgrade to ally arms will they have the same fittings to attach the stabilizers or do i need to get the adjustable upper arms from tamiya? also can i fit both a gear box stiffener and a carbon upper deck? as they don't seem to both fit? Thanks in advance! Chris
