  1. It will be fine with lipo, but as others have said you need a lipo cutoff. I'm using the Novak Smart Stop on my escs which don't have it built in and it works great. Make sure you get the 2S version though to match your 7.4v lipo.
  2. As the rising storm and plazma edge are the same car, it doesn't matter which you get as you can always get the bodyshell of the one you didn't buy when you fancy a change! Have Tamiya really improved the Hornet that much? I certainly don't remember the original being indestructable, far from it. Also it was pants on any surface other than tarmac as the suspension just couldn't cope. And finally, if you are looking at getting 2 kits for you both to have fun, then similar cars would be more fun imho, otherwise one of you will get bored if the car is slower/can'thandle the terrain as well as the other. I do agree that the df03 is a better car than the DF02 but what you've said you want to do is it really worth another 40?
  3. Good luck and just have fun!
  4. I'm not an expert, but to lock the rear I'd try taking out the diff balls, thrust race and diff spring. That way you can do it up really tight hopefully without damaging anything.
  5. Glad you enjoyed racing, it can be addictive so I'd echo what Hedge said and try and not get carried away or your wallet will regret it!! I would recommend to everyone to go along to your local club if you've never raced before, I'm sure that you'll have as much fun as Sideways. Your TT01 looks tidy, shame the alloy didn't perform that well for you.
  6. If you know the sizes I can recommend this ebay seller, walawala store, I've got all mine off him in the past. http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/WalawalaStore__W0QQ_armrsZ1

  11. Hi, does anyone know where I can get hold of a new belt for my SWB mid? I also need a new top deck and undoubtedly at some point other parts as I restore it, so any links for spares in general would be very useful. Thanks
