    Hey,

I have a F104 Pro II arriving tommorow. Very excited after completing a TT-02D and MF-0x

I'm looking for guidance on motor and ESC combos, I'd like fast and brushless, but want to keep it in Race rules incase I find a F1 club near me.

Servo suggestions also welcome. I have Savox metal gear kit in the other 2.

We run 25.5 motors with a blinky ESC. We run on black carpet indoors.

I run a Futaba S9551 servo in my TRF 103 chassis.

Looks pretty good with the Clod Buster body. Different tires would make the truck look even more scale.

To the OP, please excuse us for discussing side stuff.

    Thanks

Not a problem. I enjoy learning about the history on these kits.

  3. Thanks for the information. I wonder if I should leave the black paint or try to remove it. I don’t want to damage it.

It looks to me like like the steering is on the wrong side of the axle. I’ll have to swap that around. I also need to find a motor stay for the front of the motor. I have the driveshafts and 2 of the shocks. I’m missing pieces for the steering and shifting that I’ll need to find.

I did! My partner and I caught the races Saturday and Sunday. She bought herself a TT-02 on Saturday and I fell in love with the M-Chassis cars. Sunday, we picked up more stuff and had a chance to see Euro Trucks, GT-2, and more Minis. Sadly, we had to go before F-1 started. We both have caught the bug pretty badly. She's building her TT-02 with racing in mind from the start and I'm planning my second car. I look forward to getting down to the HobbyPlex more frequently.

I'm glad to hear that. It is a lot of fun. Just as a heads up, nothing official, but they are trying to host another TCS race later this year. Possibly the 3rd weekend in August.

I was also running the m-chassis class.

I'm not going to have my TT-02 build by then, as I still need to get electronics and some other stuff, but my partner and I will definitely be showing up to spectate. She didn't even know this hobby existed a month ago and it's something I had put aside over 20 years ago, so we are stoked to even get to watch and participate.

So did you make to the HobbyPlex to catch any of the racing?

It was great weekend. I finished painting up this body Friday before the race.

The thing holding me back from my second car being an F-1 was thinking that "no one races F-! in Omaha." There goes that mental block.

Now you have to join us!

Are you registered for the TCS race yet? It's March 27th - 28th !

    Welcome to the fold.....

Thats slick looking f1.....and the building for the meetings looks amazing and guess by the name its a purpose built facility.

Thank you, and yes, it is a great facility. Definitely one of the tops in the country.

From this view, you can the hobby shop upstairs.          The indoor offroad track is in a separate building.
