I vote for a garage sale at Scotty's for the next run
As for this weekend. I'm ok either afternoon after 2pm. Thorneside seems to be the winner. Will have a cople of non-tamiyas as well as my Blackfoot to christen in a dirt bath.
For anyone wanting gear, I'm fully stocked again so let me know if you want me to bring anything.
Garage sale at mine sounds good, bring your cash!!!

Still waiting for it- should be here either tomorrow or Monday. Say, if you want to part with any Scott, let me know.
Will let you know Paul. Have been meaning to offload a lot of cars but haven't got around to it yet.

Cheers Scott. Any F1's in that vast collection of yours?
Sorry about the slow reply Paul. Keep forgetting to read this section lately. I do have a few f101, f102, f103 & f201's. Have you tried yours yet? Looks like you guys have been having some fun.

Maybe the prices you can get at the moment are that rubbish(especially what we paid for them a little while back) that people would rather hang onto them than get nothing for them??
-
Nice F1 Paul. They are great to drive as long as you don't overpower them & have good throttle control. Very light & fast, even with high turn motors. Have fun with it..

Actually, I see you own a lunchbox Max power- you should bring it along if you decide to come. We all have lunchboxes too. Oh no, could this be a class we are starting! Hahahahaha
Be careful starting a new class, someone could come and take over:)

You could always leave your shed unlocked for us Scott so we can take some of your favourites for a run! Oh and charge up some batteries for us too!
No worries, I'd love to but I wouldn't want you to knock that vintage dust off them!!
It's been that long since I've run anything:)

So when should we do the beach run? The weekend of the 24th is good for me as the missus is away. What you all think?
Lucky you Paul. Cats away....
I've got to go to Bundy that weekend for niece & nephew's b'day party but that's ok. Don't let me stop you guys. Have fun!!

Rambling mutterings in my head.... oh and a radio station in Australia called tripple j.

Will have to get back down for a run again soon.

I always find kerosene about the best/cheapest/safest on any surface. Once finished use the leftovers on the weeds around the yard to get your moneys worth!!

3 years in the hobby & unfortunately had to vote for a level 5 disaster to my wallet. It's been good though!

I pull them apart then don't get around to putting them back together, keeps them off their wheels!

I used to joke that I was addicted to this hobby & ebay, now I just think it's a fact!!! I have friends telling me I need to go to ebay anonymous. I show signs of slowing down occasionally then all of a sudden I'm back into it again(as soon as I think I've got a good pay coming). Already had to refinance the house earlier this year due to my spending & coming close to needing another bailout if I don't stop soon. Good luck!!

Please don't shoot me!! Although I love my Tamiya's, love most of the car's names, I can't stand the silly(just my opinion) names of the drivers & wing slogans. In fact the first thing I do when a new built car turns up is peel these stickers off within minutes of unpacking them. I can understand other people liking them but struggle with them myself. They are a bit too quirky for me. Sorry!!

I think the orange springs add a nice personal touch & they match in nicely. Like others have said, keep the parts which you obviously are then they can always go back on. This is the sort of mod I would do on one of my own. Nice looking evo.
-
The guys normally get together every second Saturday at around 9.30 am. for a good part of the day(some of us all day sometimes). Others are keen to & do go on the inbetween weekends sometimes as well. You should be able to catch up with us at some point easily enough.

Looks very balanced while in the air. Nice track.

I think this RC Dreamer has been in the Garage too long!! The Devil needs to get out on the Street a bit more for a dose of reality. Funny you should bring up this case as it was only days ago that I spotted this one myself & looked at his overpriced items. I did check out some of his sales though through his feedback & it seems some people a keen/silly enough to pay the big bucks for his stuff.

The biggest trends I see are AFTER a re-release has been announced (lots of original parts/cars get dumped after the announcement and before the re-release hits the market - no surprises there).
The rest is all just coincidence as far as I'm concerned.
In nature, "clusters" are quite common and can be surprisingly large - it's a fact of probability. If you toss a coin 100 times, there is high likelihood of at least one "cluster" of 7 straight heads or tails, in a row. Same thing happens in all random circumstances, including clusters of tamiyas for sale on ebay. But people have a tendency to look for meaning where there is no meaning...

cheers,
H.
I agree with this comment totally but I have wondered if the clusters are sometimes because people see a certain model selling quite well, think to themselves I've got one of those in the cupboard & jump on the bandwagon to cash in on the feeding frenzy.

If I wasn't on here so much(& epay) & spent some time in the shed working on my supershot I might be able to join in on the supershot fun. Just getting anything going seems a mission lately. I blame winter.
