  1. :)

I vote for a garage sale at Scotty's for the next run :D

As for this weekend. I'm ok either afternoon after 2pm. Thorneside seems to be the winner. Will have a cople of non-tamiyas as well as my Blackfoot to christen in a dirt bath.

For anyone wanting gear, I'm fully stocked again so let me know if you want me to bring anything.

Garage sale at mine sounds good, bring your cash!!!

  2. I used to joke that I was addicted to this hobby & ebay, now I just think it's a fact!!! I have friends telling me I need to go to ebay anonymous. I show signs of slowing down occasionally then all of a sudden I'm back into it again(as soon as I think I've got a good pay coming). Already had to refinance the house earlier this year due to my spending & coming close to needing another bailout if I don't stop soon. Good luck!!

  3. Please don't shoot me!! Although I love my Tamiya's, love most of the car's names, I can't stand the silly(just my opinion) names of the drivers & wing slogans. In fact the first thing I do when a new built car turns up is peel these stickers off within minutes of unpacking them. I can understand other people liking them but struggle with them myself. They are a bit too quirky for me. Sorry!!

  4. I think this RC Dreamer has been in the Garage too long!! The Devil needs to get out on the Street a bit more for a dose of reality. Funny you should bring up this case as it was only days ago that I spotted this one myself & looked at his overpriced items. I did check out some of his sales though through his feedback & it seems some people a keen/silly enough to pay the big bucks for his stuff.

  5. The biggest trends I see are AFTER a re-release has been announced (lots of original parts/cars get dumped after the announcement and before the re-release hits the market - no surprises there).

The rest is all just coincidence as far as I'm concerned.

In nature, "clusters" are quite common and can be surprisingly large - it's a fact of probability. If you toss a coin 100 times, there is high likelihood of at least one "cluster" of 7 straight heads or tails, in a row. Same thing happens in all random circumstances, including clusters of tamiyas for sale on ebay. But people have a tendency to look for meaning where there is no meaning... ;)

    cheers,

    H.

I agree with this comment totally but I have wondered if the clusters are sometimes because people see a certain model selling quite well, think to themselves I've got one of those in the cupboard & jump on the bandwagon to cash in on the feeding frenzy.
