  1. Great thanks for the advice and knowledge!
  2. Hmmm bizarre I just searched ebay for him and cannot find him there...have we spelt his name correctly?
  3. Thanks for the tip, i'll check out the seller! I think I need to work out what sizes I need for my Marui Samuai and order in one large batch which it sounds like you have also
  4. Joaquim - ahhh thats the name, that's who I purchased off from ebay a couple of years ago!
  5. Brilliant thanks for the overwhelming response and help as always guys! SO how much are these new systems then, and am I right in thinking as per the old school 27 and 40Mhz, its a case of a receiver and a controller? Do you need new servos for the system also in which case?? Finally, can you just upgrade crystals to 40Mhz if you wanted to from a 27Mhz, or do you need a new transmitter and receiver?
  6. All of my R/C gear is 27Mhz which I know is the old frequency. I have lots of spare crystals etc (all 6 bands) so thats what I have always used for all of my R/C cars. I know nowadays people tend to buy the 40Mhz radio gear. Is there a lot of difference? If I change frequencies, would I require a whole new set of radio gear and receivers etc? If so it would work out far too costly in my opinion therefore I think I would be better off just sticking to the old school frequencies!
  7. Ahh right interesting to know. So for slightly faster movement best stick with metal then I imagine its all very minimal though
  8. Brilliant thanks I'll look into it now! I always wondered, what's the best type to get, rubber shields isn't it??
  9. I did order a couple of years ago off someone from ebay when I gave them the dimensions of the bearing I was after, but now I cannot remember who that was?!! Does anyone have a good idea of cheap bearings and/or the best place to buy them from? I have just ordered a Tamiya re-re Boomerang to build so I'd like to fully bullrace that from the start. I'd also like to get hold of some for my old marui Samurai too Many thanks in advance as ever guys
  10. Thats what I meant I'm just very tired, please forgive me
  11. Come on then, spill the beans buddy Seriosuly though, how do you know these things, do you have contacts in China?
  12. Hey mate, just wondering how you manage to never run them, it must be difficult?! Also, do you have them all in a showroom we can see on here??
  13. OK thanks guys i'll keep looking!!
  14. Also, does anyone know what the FIRST R/C car was that Tamiya released and what year it was in? (testing your knowledge now!!)
  15. Ahh right so at least we know they are prepared to remake tooling for ANY car now then!! Wow perhaps have been on these here boards are realised there was a huge customer demand for them?! Seriousy do you think people wrote to them? Seems a rather arge gamble otherwise remaking all of the tooling etc, and also why would they not have kept it all from before...too big to keep etc?
  16. Quick question, I notice that the Sand Scorcher is almost double the price of other re-re's, is this purely because they know loads of people want to buy this one?! I can't see why the other kits would be a lot less in price to this one otherwise?!
  17. Hi there, ok thanks will do. Just so as I understand you correctly, does this mean you literally search for 'graveyard' on ebay?!
  18. OK great thanks, so basically just search ebay for 'vintage' screw bags etc?
  19. Hey guys, I'm trying to get all the screws, nuts, washers, e-clips etc for an old restore project. Where may be the best bet to look for such a thing? It's not a Tamiya (shock horror!) but I know lots of sizes etc are universal. As it's not a Tamiya I know I can't go searching for particular screw bags, so herein lies the problem I guess, as I would not know what sizes come in what bags for what cars etc! Perhaps I'm stuffed? I don't need that many more as luck would have it I have slowly gone through all of my spares and matched up as many as was humanly possible! Any help with this would be ace as always
  20. Hey no worries at all, glad you approve So come on people..how can we find out what is on Tamiya's minds now for the next re-release
  21. Ahh right ok no probs, so its basically a totally new and different kit apart from the bodyshell!
