arghhhh doesn't appear to be any of the above. It's weird as it USED to work and its so so new it's had about 2 hours use out of it TOPS!! Worse thing is that it was more expensive than a standard Tamiya TEU model!!

Hi guys, I have 2 of these and they have always been useless! For some reason t's just not working and I have set it up as per the instruction manual to a TEE!! I have the ESC wire into Channel 2 on the receiver, and the servo into channel 1. Can anyone explain as to why its not working and when setting up the ESC the lights are not working as if there is no signal coming from the controller. Any ideas?

Hi Guys, I recently decided to fully bull-race my Samurai (very complicated model to build and re-build I think!), and although it's all totally back together, I have noticed that the front two wheels are extremely stiff! Any ideas? The rear two wheels run freely when twisted, but the front two do not. They do move ok and the differential seems to work fine, it's just that they are very stiff! Any ideas as to why that might be? I have not re-adjusted the drive chain but I'm still not sure if that has anything to do with it as I took it apart then put it back together? (the car that is, not the chain!) Also the through bolt that has a nut either end that goes straight through the middle of the gearbox - the instructions state not to tighten it too much, but once the whole model is finished - should the nut be tightened or the bolt left to turn freely as it does now? Just wondering if that has anything to do with it?? Any help and advice would be great appreciated - it's got me stumped!! Many thanks

-
Hi there, I sent you a private message did you receive it ok? Basically I just need the side casing to the rear gearbox, I believe it is part number C10 and C13 from the 'C' parts tree of course!
-
Yup the ENTIRE front windscreen was cut out and then I tried running it without the shell on!
-
Hi Guys, Does anyone happen to have or know how I may be able to get hold of a Samurai gearbox?? I've taken mine apart to ballrace it and its falling apart!! Many thanks

Really? but its oil?!

Hi guys, wow great response on here! To answer questions, yes I took the sheet up, but its got all my finger marks on it as I've been handling it so much whilst adding all the additional lighting to the shell! Will go with the easy soapy solution first off and see how that goes then, if it doesn't remove my greasy finger marks, I'll look at purchasing some light polish as suggested! It's jet black hence why you can see all the smudges fro my fingers!

I've at last, finished my Countach woohoo! I would like to polish her up before taking some piccies for the showroom, what should I use to clean her up?
-
I too would say a Samurai! At long last I am pleased to say I own one. I drove it last week for the first time, fantastic stuff! Going to ball race it soon too! I think it's a wonderful looking car I realy do, way ahead of it's time, and chain driven too yumm!

Special Small Screws - Any Ideas Where To Get Them From?
Malakite replied to Malakite's topic in General discussions
Fantastic stuff, looking into it now!! -
Hey guys, I need a few screws of size No.2 X 6.7mm, No.2.6 X 8mm and No.3 X 18mm for an old vintage I need to complete. I also need a few 'C rings' size seems to be about 9.5mm from top to bottom and from side to side. (I measured the instruction booklet as it doesn't have the measurements on it, just actual sizes printed! Any suggestions would be fab! I've been collecting other screws over the last couple of months, but just need these final few to have all ready to build my car Thanks!

Hi Will, I take it you had one of these as a child like me? I'd quite like to get one again purely for nostalgia reasons. Mine was SO unreliable it wasn't funny, and the engine in was was terrible, always over heating!!
-
Goodbye and the very best of luck to you Sir. Hope to see you back on these here forums in the not too distant future!

Hehe nope not this time guys! I have a different receiver in both cars, this is really weird....
-
Thanks for all of your help, looking into it right this minute and report back!!...... I think it must be a dodgey transmitter for some bizarre reason, the trouble is i'm at my parents house and I only left one here, I have others at home but thats not good to test right here and my house is a 3 hour drive away!

Hi there, yup I swapped the leads around and the steering still worked in channel 2 as well as channel 1 which is what confused me so much? The batteries are charged (I tried THREE different ones!!) so I really am confused! Will clean all motor connectors again but if the LED keeps flashing on both ESCs, does that not mean something else?!!
-
Hi guys, Yup motors plugged in. Very strange, perhaps the controller has had it? Either that or the crystal in the transmitter? It seems bizarre that both are not working though. I tries to reset the ESC by pressing the set button but the light kept flashing the whole time in the same fast way, very strange?
-
I have two cars at my parents house. I went to use them both with my son, they both have Tamiya TEU-101 ESCs in them. The steering works fine on both, but no forward or reverse?! ALL leads are in, all black wires are facing outwards of the receiver when you connect them, and the steering servo is i the correct channel (1). There is no sound from the unit beeping wise, just that the LED is flashing constantly fast. Any clues? It's the same problem in both cars which seems weird?!

Lambourghini Shell On A Tt-01 Type E Chassis
Malakite replied to Malakite's topic in General discussions
Hi guys, I have today received (all the way from China via flea-bay!) the correct straight pegs for the body shell! As you guys suggested they went in at the front bumper position nicely, meaning I don't have to drill any new holes into the body shell thank goodness! y next question, is what sort of height should I make the body shell sit al? Should it be (the wheel arches) slightly below or slightly above the tyres?? Also what do you guys use to cut the body pin pegs down with so that it looks nice and neat and I'm not left with huge long sticking out pegs!
