I've got one of these in a beat up Kyosho Gallop.

Not sure how many winds it is though.
YES YES THATS THE ONE! I'm almost CERTAIN that's the motor I had. I was sooooooooo fast, can you find out somehow how many turns that one is? How many out of interest was a Technigold because I reckon it was easily as powerful as that to be honest!!
Any way we can test your motor??

I have to say that I love MBs the most. I ended up getting one off ebay second hand due to waiting forever in the vein hope that Tamiya would release one. Apparently they have issues over licensing the actual bodyshell so I've been told so I guess its a no go until such time as that changes, if at all??

Hi guys I've just checked and it's a male connection and from an Acoms AP-2-02!
-
Hi guys, I'm just after a couple of Ariels after my son has unfortunately snapped a couple of my old Accoms controllers!
ANy ideas, I cant seem to find them anywhere but I'm sure it's because I don't really know the correct wording to search for them?
Many thanks,
-
Welcome, get ready to get VERY addicted an to spend LOTS of money you should be saving to spend on something else!

Waaayyy back in 1987 my very first RC buggy was a Marui Hunter. It was my introduction into this craziness that we call a hobby, and for what its worth the Hunter was a blast. I will always have a soft spot in my hart for the Marui Hunter, bakaguyjean I would restore it to its original spec and have fun with it.
Go HuntersOh BTW that photo of the Box brings back so many memories! wow wow wow

I'd definitely like to get my hands on one for sure!

-
Either car you will find fantastic fun and literally INDESTRUCTIBLE!

OK I have a VERY embarrassing confession to make, I'm not gonna lie to you all, one of the wires was stuck under the ESC after I had taped it down and I did'nt even see it! Once I taped it up it works fine!
On another annoying front though I ordered the special body shell mounts for my body from Tony's Tamiya parts, waited ages, then he emailed to say he had made a mistake with the listing!
DOH I now have to wait longer and re-order from someone else, this project has now taken me over 2 years (mainly due to lack of time with a lovely boy we have!)Thanks as always for all of your help and although I've been VERY stupid, at least its fixed now!

I had the same symptoms when I blew a TEU101 up - hope it hasn't happened to you

Hi, the thing is, its NEVER BEEN USED! It's brand new out of the packet!
-
Jammer - yes the Black wire is facing the edge of the receiver.
The steering servo is in Channel 1, if I put it into channel 2 I have to steer with the throttle?!!..
Mike_o - Yes the ESC just keeps on flashing the same constant flashing no matter what I do

-
The steering works fine and when the motor is plugged in the ESC does beep yes, and the light constantly flashes!
Confused about the 'red' wire though as its definitely plugged into the receiver.
-
Constant non stop flashing.
Battery FULLY charged.
Brand new not wet at all.
Receiver is brand new and so is the speed controller!

-
I have tried and tried and to no avail, so weird! I connected the motor and noticed the speed controller started beeping as if to say there was no connection with the transmitter yet I have tested the transmitter with another car and crystal and it works fine, I even swapped crystals into the receiver for the TEU but still no good.
I'm really stuck with this one

-
Read the manual carefully. You need to do the set procedure correctly, which includes setting both end points pressing the buttom WHILE holding the transmitter at the given position. Otherwise the ESC will not catch the input.
Err but the LED red light still constantly flashes and nothing else happens

Any further suggestions??!
-
This is mine! Anyone know something about it? Turns RPMs....
I've 2 of these.

Bye
WWD

Mine had different decals on it but looked pretty similar to this, it was SO FAST!!
-
The red LED just keeps flashing constantly all the time, it's a nightmare because i've read the instructions nside and out and there i no diagnosis for this, it simply says the first time you try and set it the light should flash once!!
Any ideas guys? Thanks as always!
-
You guys are LEGENDS thanks so much, all ordered

just put some posts on the front bumper mounting & it'll line up with the front pair of dimples

although have no idea how boxart got it to sit so low on a TT01
usually the shell will hit the front shocktowers early with plenty of daylight between tyre and wheelarch
to sit that low you'd have to lose the springs from the shocks and let the chassis tub sit flat on the ground
Yup not too bothered about that it'll mainly be a shelf queen with the occasional use I think, I just want to try and avoid drilling the extra holes seeing as they are rather large! Thing is, I can only see hop up ones at the moment, does anyone know where I may be able to get the standard plastic black ones from? Ebay is not good unfortunately!
-
didi you try this
You might be able to use the TA05 posts as suggested as they mount vertically on the front plastic area of the bumper with screws that go up into the bottom of them rather than from the side like the stock TT01 type that mount in the suspension mounts
looking into that its a great idea...I can only see hop up aluminium ones though not that standard black plastic ons which is all I am after really!
-
I dont want to sound rude but have you checked the pictures, manual, box, internet?
As far as i can see from several searches on google images and within the tamiya club show rooms you have clearly made the holes in the wrong place!
The chassis as stock should be built with the stock body posts and the front holes to be made just after the windscreen and the rear holes in the engine cover area.
I know it probaby pains you to do this as you have made a nice clean job of your shell but i would either make new holes in the correct place using the normal straight body mounts or continue to ******* around with various creative options listed above.

From your photo it looks like you have placed the holes in a place that really doesnt suit any option of any body posts. If you melt bend or modify the chassis your only going to encounter issues if you wish to mount other shells as normally the tamiya bodies are pre drilled and fit the normal TT01 body mount positons.

Also i maybe wrong but i think to fit some of the wide bodies such as yours you have to mount the rear lower arms backwards to give it a longer wider stance, i recall my friend mentioning this to me when he built his Porsche 911 TT01E, as i have a Skyline GT-R 34 on a normal TT01
See here for reference

A tip for the future mark your body mount hole positions when your shell is clear and unpainted, you can use a permanent maker on the protective film. If painted align you wheels up and shine a lamp or light through the shell and mark with a very soft lead pencil. Or place blue tack or double tape on the top of your posts and carefully get it to stick to the inside of your shell for a fairly accurate mark to make a hole.
Hope this helps
thanks
VV
Hi there, yup you are dead right, my mistake for messing up the holes!! Will try alternatives first and if I get no joy I will just drill some more holes where they should have been drilled in the first place!!

-
Can you not cut down the front posts and bond a spare bit of styrene onto them and then use some velcro for a 'hidden' front mount?
Will save drilling extra holes!
Errr would not have a clue how to do that!
-
Hi guys, please see attached pic of the longest rear pegs that I have fitted to the front bumper end...
*update it appears I cannot upload any more date onto this thread??
-
-
show us a pic of what you've already done
TT01 has provision on the front bumper for posts, just get some off a TGR or TA05 sprue.
TT01 also has 2 available positions for rear holes, choose either straight posts of the Z ones.
chances are you don't need to poke more holes...
Hey Willy, hope you are well! Cheers for the suggestion. So what am I searching for exactly? TA05 body ars? Not too sure what they are actually called or what to look for on ebay

If I were to put the extender ones on the front that came with the kit, they miss the front body shell holes by a matter of about 5-10m that's all
