    Xray T3

For sale is my Xray T3, it hasn't been used for 6+ months and I'd rather use the funds for other things. Its a completely standard T3 chassis, a couple of years old but still a very handy car for club level racing and beyond. Or, a brilliant drifter, carpark car etc. Its in good condition overall, just needs a general strip/rebuild/clean. See the photos and make your own mind up. It comes as a roller as I had an issue with it the last time I ran it - the motor or ESC died and doesn't supply any power to make it run. I could do a deal on the electrics (not the receiver) but bear in mind that the electrics are currently not completely working. - As a roller plus wheels/tyres and a used custom painted RichPaint Mazda body, £150 posted. - As above, but with the Speed Passion GT V1.1 ESC, LRP X10 10.5 motor (either possibly dead), Futaba S9550 servo (poor condition case and connector but works perfectly well), £200 podted. PayPal only please.
  2. Now sold. Got this in a deal and rock crawling isn't for me. Its not tested, so please be aware its a project for you to do up, hence the price. From what I can see, its a standard Losi MRC 1/18th rig, with weighted front wheels. It has a servo, motor and ESC, but no Tx or RX, and no battery or charger. Condition I'd say is good, but I think its been assembled out of spares as it was missing a couple of rose-joint balls (the ones the lower links pivot around), and one of the turnbuckle ends wass too short really. I've replaced these with new ones, the unused spares will be included. Some of the tyres on the beadlocks have come away from the inside edge so I'd try and source some new tyres for it. Its ideal to make into an indoor/garden rig on the cheap, or use it for spares for your own truck. The axles and transmission would make a great TCS L-Trail truck! I want £65 plus £5 post and packing, PayPal only please.
  3. Apologies if it has been posted here already. http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/english/index.html
  4. I've use Fastrax chrome, its fine, looks great and is simple to use. The more coats you use, the more reflective the effect is, so for going an entire body, use the whole can. Even if you think you've done enough, use more.
  5. You ALWAYS have to go darkest to lightest, so you should be masking and painting in the following order: - Black - Silver - Fluro Red - White Any other order than that, is going to lead to the darker colours bleeding through and it ending up looking rubbish. Always back metallics with silver Always back Fluros with white Solid colours don't need backing if you do enough coats (5-6 light coats).
  6. Really? I used the whole can of the purple/green flip on a body, and it came out fine when backed with black. There's no limit to how much you put on, but more coats mean more chance of getting a run in the paint which WILL ruin the effect.
  7. Awesome, thanks guys! We can always rely on TamiyaClub to ID the most strange things in RC. Very much apprieciated.
  8. Someone on MSUK needs help identifying it, nitro isn't my expertise though. Cheers!
  9. Yep, a friend tried it and it sat too high if you cut it to the lines. Leaving on a bit of the excess plastic helps a bit. You could heat the bonnet/windscreen area or cut it out to mount it lower though.
  10. You could make a rudimentary spool? Add tape or something to the diff plates and reassemble, so the balls don't slip or turn, meaning you have a locked axle? http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/107076-h...your-ball-diff/ That'll help the car pull straight under power if you lock the front diff. Also add some rear toe-in if you can. But like others have said, 99% of the problem will be the tyres, go for some racing tyres from Sorex, RP, Sweep etc, the lower the number the softer the tyre (look for something in the 24-32 range, Sorex 28's would be perfect).
  11. Mtroniks do one too, it allowed them to fit a 380 sized brushless motor into 540-sized cars.
  12. Very true. On 27mhz its very mix and match, but on 40mhz it can be brand-specific. For example, I used a Novak XXL receiver with a Hitec transmitter and it worked, and the same receiver with a KO transmitter which worked fine. KO transmitter with a Futaba reciever was OK too, but the Hitec transmitter didn't like the KO or Futaba receivers.

  14. It says its based on the WRC cars so it'll be a ReRe of the 5 Turbo Maxi body. tamiya renault 5 by PANDAFRED, on Flickr
  15. Acrylic paint normally flakes off lexan bodies as they don't flex in an accident. Fine for a shelfer as long as you don't move it or bend the body.
