Where do you get your shims from?
Captain Vimes replied to Captain Vimes's topic in General discussions
Thank you! Just placed my first order. -
As the title states, I picked up some Tamiya 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3mm standard sized shims for general use, but they seems rather expensive for what they are! I also need a rather obscure size (10mm internal, 12mm external) for my TD2 build. I've had a bit of a search, but no joy. Ideally a UK supplier as that's where I am. Cheers!

I might have, but as I don't know what they are.... I have gone through the throttle and brake end point process, and the process to ensure braking is turned on, but that doesn't seem to have worked.

Cheers. I guess I'll just keep trying until the patience runs out...

Thanks, but I do have it but cannot find how to reset in it!

Yes indeed.

I normally use a Hobbywing esc, but have a Tamiya TBLE-02S that came in a kit and would like to use it with a TBLM-02S 10.5t motor I bought because it was the best fit for my 2922 Super Astute. (I have a fan for the esc) However, whilst I can get it to switch to brushless mode, and have channel one working the steering just fine, I can’t get channel two to properly work the motor. Having tried to program the throttle and brake endpoints a few times, all I get is full forward throttle once connected up. Rather than just give in and spend another £40 on a Hobbywing esc, I thought a factory reset of the TBLE-02S and one more try was in order. But, I can’t find how to do the reset! Not in the instructions nor anywhere on the internet! Can anyone point me in the right direction p,ease? Vimes

TD OCD - Shims, Mods and Fixes for the TD2/TD4
Captain Vimes replied to matisse's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
Not that I found. Same issue here, but I bit the bullet and got a Tamiya TBLM2 for about £65. Not cheap, but it is a quality kit and this will be my first sensored brushless motor so will be interesting to compare to cheaper non-sensored Hobbywings I have used to date. (You can of course use your Rocket motor in your next brushless build!)- 30 replies
