  1. I Still have a Sonic Fighter from my young elementary ages. It was pretty good for me at that age. Perhaps, it wasn't great for racing though. I am thinking about restoring soon with paint jobs since I got into painting models.
  2. Thank you very much for the reply, mymonsterbeetleisbroken. I had to use the new servo savor since I got a used MB from Ebay. the wheels were still wabbling turning corners. (also, the servo saver metal part from MB parts do not fit anymore since the new servo saver is bigger than stock) I was thinking about upgrading steering rod to screws from the pop-in design. I thought wabbling is caused by the loosen rods. or it could be that I need to use Hi-Torque Servo (Currently using Futaba S3001.) Also, thanks for the modification ideas. I will let you know if I find something out about wabbling. thanks again.
  3. Hello all, I just completed restoring a Monster Beetle. It runs great. However, I have one thing I want to clear up. When I accelerate as I turn right or left, the wheel wabbles. Is that normal for a beetle or blackfoot or is that something that can be done by adjusting? I just wanted to find that out. Oh by the way..Any Modification I can do with Monster Beetle? you guys have been helpful on the issues I had. I want to thank you and I will thank you in advance for the reply.
  4. Thank you very much for the answers. So, the rear fits with the hex converter. (I think I got that.) and, the front just fits right in, right? if that's the case, i will look for the front rims since i am in a hurry. i guess my question would be will the front wheels of king blackfoot fit into Monster Beetle Front? Thanks in advance for the answer.
  5. Rear Falcon Shock are Great for stiff movement on the back. However, it rolls when shorter shocks are attached on the front. I am thinking about putting the front one with higher one also. but, they are bit hard to come by. If I get them I will keep you all posted.
  6. Hello all. I have a problem. I wanted to change the color of the rim without painting them, so I went and got a King Black Foot rims (Red). when I got it, i found out they do not fit. (I should have double checked!! very stupid of me to think that it would fit since the outer design was same) is there way to fit them in or do I just have to throw them away? also, after I check them out from the manual. all four rims are rear wheels. I am hoping that there a way to resolve this. also, what other rims fit on Monster Beetle? Thanks in Advance.
  7. Is there such thing out there to make it faster? please let me know. thanks in advance. Calvin
  8. thanks for the info, max. it helped me, also.
  9. they are 103mm. it's look agressive and has no sound. one of the issue I ran into was roll-over. when I make steep turns as I accelerate, it would roll. I think it rolls over since the front shocks are relatively shorter than the rear. I hope that helps.
  10. Thanks for the comment. I really wanted to hear from what other people think
  11. I just wanted to share this with you guys. I got a lunchbox a month ago and I hated the friction shocks. So, I have decided to upgrade the shock to some CVA. what was availiable on ebay was some falcon shocks (front and rear) so I went ahead and got them. After the installation, it is working great. since the rear shock is long, the rear part movement is somewhat minimized and the noise is gone. additionally, i don't think I would need the 3rd shock mod. also, the front shock is also longer than what is recommended for upgrade, which makes them very tight shock in the front as well. it handles better and holds the willy better. I just wanted to share it with everyone. Calvin
  12. I recently got a Monster Beetle from Ebay. I got the car without servo. As I am trying to restore the car, this is the problem I face. All of the servo parts are scattered to every part trees and it looks like I need to spend extra for getting small parts for the servo. Any solution to this? What can I substitute to complete the servo parts without getting other part trees? Thanks In advance.
  13. Hello, my name is calvin from los angeles, ca. I was wondering if anyone has Tamiya Monster Beetle Gold Chrome Wheels & Part Tree E. I am restoring and I just wanted to see whether it's out there or not. if you do, please let me know.
  14. I had the same problem. it just that lunch box is intended to do wheelies, not really made for great steering. also, the friction shock it uses moves the weight of the vehicle. I was to thinking to add some CVA shocks for better handling. I hope that helps.
