  1. To get her chuff again, get her a box of sweets and let her play with your Willy. You haven't got a Willy? The more reason to go out and buy it.
  2. Percymon, here is my take of what happened. You were a man on a mission. Mission accomplished.
  3. This is what happens when your were let loose in a candy shop and with no supervision. Live is like a box of chcololate, you don't want eat the whole box all at once. Enjoy the present moment.
  4. By James Steward (not exact, but in the spirit of the joke) A retired couple was having a nice dinner for their 50th year wedding anniversary...and had the following conversation took place Wife: if i die would you get marry again? Husband: why would you ask such question on our anniversary, and you know how much I love you, so do not ask me such question. Wife: I just want to know Husband: I am not going to answer such question The same question was asked by the wife several more times on different ocassions and the husband gave the same reply. Few months went by and the wife asked again, this time... Husband: yes dear, i would marry again Wife: would you sale our house and buy a new one with this lady? Husband: no, I love this house. Wife: would you keep our car or get a new one? Husband: that car is find and need not get a new one. Wife: would you still use the same bed that we are now using? Husband: honey, you are putting me in a very unconfortable position with that question.....and i will have to think about it. Wife: would you let her use my golf clubs? Husband: no, she is a lefty.
  5. Go easy on the joe in the morning, use a good quality and size paint brush for the task, use 2 hands if need be and be prepared to paint the surrounding area and the lines again. Guys do pinstriping on cars freaks me out. i guess is technic and practice. Taping the area helps too.
  6. 50 yrs since WWII when the Star War came out and i figured was another 150yrs into tge future...(i have no clue ..so 200 yrs. give or take a few centuries?
  7. Especially using a 200 yr old machine call an airplane.
  8. Mario is the acceptable figure to replace Willy. The bear and walking dead willy are a bitvtoo much for my limited taste.
  9. Most able body with available time will likely take apart RTR or New build to make sure all is well, but those few with limitation may not be able to do a full strip down. i guess the only solution is to find someone willing to do it for a fee or as,a friend. Maybe TC can provide this service to members with limitation?
  10. That is why i don't like RTR as i don't know if the builder did it with TLC or just slam bang thank you mam. I also go over all the nuts and bolts before and after each run, kind of like a pilot doing a walk around the aircraft before airborne. I guess is always good, if possible, to take the model apart and put it back together to see no parts were missing, properly tighten, right parts used etc, plus you will know the model better.
  11. Brushed motors have so much more character and that is why is resisted brushless motor dispite i hear all their advantages. One more reason staying with brush is they are cheaper.
  12. Love to see doors installed. Can live with hulk hogen's chin driver That roof us just top notch.
  13. That "thing" is all business. No mucking around.
  14. Is always nice to upgrade your favorite to a much better than stocked model. With all the recommendations, the final bill could put you into the next level of vehicles available. Hopups are adictive and is hard to stop once you know what is out there. You may end up with enough lift over parts to built another CC01. Don't forget to check out rc channel, their metal parts will blow the rest away. Just keepin mind your cc01 will nevef be as capable as a stocked sxc10.
  15. Not sure at 1:10 turbo would work at all because turbo at 1:1 scale spin at 100,000 rpm or more, the amount of heat and friction would destroy any cheap non cooling turbo within a few hrs. of driving. Maybe that is why turbo was never used in rc, except for supercharge in 4 stroke, which is more mechanical and rpm is much much lower.
  16. Is the old vs new (relatively new) delimna with money issue thrown in. Go with your gut feeling, unless money is the issue others wise if you stay in this hobby long enough you will buy both or even consider RC4WD with the 2 speed tranny as hop up
  17. He is on a journey where we will all go one day.
  18. I don't have either, but i would guess the TXT 2 is better, else the factory would not release a worser version...unless the 2 is much cheaper than the 1. Technology improves and experience gained year after year, so it is better. Look at other products out there.
  19. Just wondering has any other make considered using 2 motors, say 380 motors, one for front and one for rear to rid the drive shaft or belt altogether. Keeping the battery and motor(s) close to centre of the model would be the best set up. Just look at real world cars from F1, F2, Indy, rally cars and super performance sport cars, all the weight is concentrated in the centre. I think what stopping using of 380 size motor for front and rear seems to be lack of selection for this size motor. So far, i keep seeing rc cars getting more and more complicated vs keeping it simple like those F1 and pan cars. Maybe there is a game changer design currently in the works and will set1:10 rc world on its head, which usually happens every once in a while in all areas.
  20. plus he is 95 on life support, and tomorrow will be our 1 year wedding anniversary. And i beleive for better or for worse so long as he leaves me his entire fortune to me.
  21. Becareful my friend. You and I are treading on a thin line , which we can be moderated without further notice . what will we do without the club access? Resort to drinking CC with a bunny or become the next Chris Kyle, except won't bring any nut job to a gun club to fire off some rounds to remind him he is back in the middle east with every men , women and children trying to kill him with IEDs, LPGs or AK47.
  22. The Mrs. is not stupid, unless she is a blond (just kidding). She can just google and find out everything around that area with images and knows exactly what the little boy in each of us is up to.
  23. I think the smallest steel cable size is 1.8mm dia. compose of 1x7 strand with breaking strength of 2.75 to 3.27kN or 280 to 311 kilogram force, which 1 strand alone should meet your requirement. If you can source these small cables, say at a picture framing shop, and see if they can wing around the 25-30mm dia. drum or or source cables that uses 1mm dia strand, cut the strand out and see if it will fit onto the drum.
  24. Was that bunny at the legal drinking age? In rabbit year would be around 2.5 year.
