  1. Hi, well she's 95% done, just needs some work on the taillights to hide the leds. When my highlift tires arrive she will need a little body lift, otherwise I'm finished and quite pleased. Ran it around in the house a bit and thena couple of poser picts outside. Thanks for looking Jay
  2. Hi all, starting my first new build in a lot of years. My wife got me a pajaro for christmas. Haven't started the chassis yet but have got a little done on the body. Since the wife did get it for me she has had lots of input into the project. Her 1:1 ride is a ford freestyle and she loves the colour so I picked up similar clours at a local autoparts store, actually ended up with Honda colours. My favorite part is the new leather spare tire cover. I have ordered in some highlift tires for the truck and rather than using a 5th tire I am using the stock tirecover with a twist. My wife downloaded and digitized the logo of another group I'm part of and has emroidered it onto a piece of leather, then made me a sparetire cover. Hope you like it as much as I do.
  3. Thanks for the intrest. Good to here from another Maritimer. There are a few of us around do you ever go on crawl canada?
  4. Nice truck, I love mine as well. Can you provide anymore info on your rubber suspension mod. I'm in the same boat wanting to make a third shock mod to mine when I locate one.
  5. I have been playing with this old Blackfoot extreme for a while now. It is mainly for my nephew to bash when I'm running my ax10. I decided it would be better as a 4X4 so I bought a used dualhunter chassis off ebay and ordered some parts from Tower hobbies and now I have a 4X4. I spent more money doing this than if I'd just bought another truck but its been fun to build anyway. I stole the blackfoot body for my plowtruck so the old f100 body suits it just fine.
  6. Hi. My brother dropped in this afternoon with his new cr01, not even a body ready for it yet. We took it and my ax10 out on my front lawn for a test drive. We did get stuck a few times but it was all good.
  7. Wife got me a pajaro and a 55t motor for my axial that I had asked for. As a surprise she also got me a 1:12 scale silverlit Ducatti motorcycle. It surprised me by working quite well. Merry Christmas to everyone.
  8. Had some snow last night, and tried out the plow.
  9. Best wishes for the holidays, I hope everyone has a good christmas and a great new year. Cheers Jay & Patsy
  10. Got some paint on the plow, I'm pretty happy with it. Snow forecast for tomorrow maybe a trial coming up.
  11. I have a 55t lathe motor on my tl01 modifiied chassis. I tried the rear end both locked and unlocked I have it unlocked right now as it does help with the steering. May re lock it as I have a snow plow on it now. In any case with that motor I have pulled my trailer around the den with a 6" high stack of modeling magazines on it with no problem, that's a considerable amount of weight, it doesn't even notice another model on the trailer. As I built my trailer as a dual axle there is very little weight on the truck. Best of luck with your project.
  12. No problem, just a weak attempt a humour. Hope to try a bit of video next time it snows.
  13. It will angle a few degrees either direction. I will try it out, but I have a 1:1 snowblower for the real work.
  14. My version Aluiminum angle, pop rivits a little scrap plywood and some worn out tires. It works great IMO.
  15. Hi all. I decided to put a snow plow on my modified TL01, Blackfoot Ex. bodied tow rig. The plow is all scratch built of aluminum, rivited together. Once it's painted it should look reasonably scale. I have used two of the lights off the roll bar as plow lights until I located something better. I have a servo mounted under the hood to raise the plow blade. It hasn't been outside yet but on indoor trials it easily pushes dog dishes around.
  16. Added the trailer hitch and pulled the trailer around the den. It seems to work good.
  17. Awesome looks like it was meant to be there
  18. Got the cap almost finished, just needs latchs for the tailgate. The pictures really make the rough body work show up. But its a work truck so I will weather it and it should be fine.
  19. The Mini is chained on, look close at the picture you can see them. Your right about them never being done, I always find something else to do.
  20. Just a quick update on the tow rig project. I have added a 55t crawler motor and locked the rear diff. for more pulling power. I also decided a tow rig wold look better with a cap on the truck so I took a couple of pictures of my 1:1 and started on the replica for the model.
  21. My Hornet shock modification It was a rainy Sunday afternoon here and I wanted a cheap project. I decided to mount an old set of tamiya oil shocks on my "Schornet". I cut off the front upper mounts hacked up a little aluminum I had and bolted up the front shocks. For the rears I used some aluiminum angle and bolted it to the stock mounts. I haven't run it yet but it shouldn't be any worse than stock, besides the fabrication is the most fun.
  22. Flareless version of the AX10.
  23. Guess I had to much free time this afternoon. I decided to paint the rims, and while they were drying I put an old set of BFGs I have on. The track is to wide but they look OK I'll have to take it out in the driveway tomorrow I expect it will mostly spin but it should be fun for a little while.
  24. Didn't really like the lightning bolts so I sanded and dremmelled them out and repainted the body for a weathered beater look. To me it looks a lot llike a low budget mud truck. Still need to paint the rims.
