  1. Sweet ride, my first 1:1 was a 1973, which my buddy painted almost that colour for me, as rough as it was I wish I had kept it.
  2. I don't know about anywhere else but I was into "the source" used to be "radio shack" just the other day and they have a Tamiya XB mighty bull (2wd) rtr for sale, its on thier website as well. Its the first time I've ever seen this around here.
  3. Thanks its become my most used truck. I just added an old body I got off e-bay for a more scale look. I may have to remove the flares if they rub to much. 1:10 scale 1:1 inspiration
  4. Hi, Just installed an old ford body on the blackfoot I got off e-bay for one dollar, patched it up a little and opened the wheel wells up. As its a larger scale it looks more scale like. I'm going to lock up the diff so it will run a bit better in the rough any way my nephew is happy with it and it gives us another truck to bash about.
  5. I run mine on the beach, I stay away from the salt water and usually stay up in the dry sand above the high water mark as it is easy to blow off.
  6. Picked up this blackfoot extreme a few months ago quite cheap, it was almost like new. I really wanted the hardbody for another project. I think I am going to put an old body on it and let my nephew have it.
  7. Here are a couple more of my trucks, an Axial AX10 RTR with a few upgrades and an old F150 body, MLST with a bronko body
  8. Nice stuff, I really like the bumblebee stripe
  9. Hi. Just a quick picture of my sand scorcher clone. As I've said in other posts, like many 40+ yr olds I remember wanting one when I was a kid and they were advertised in my fathers model airplane magazines. Anyway I'm grown up now and recently got back into cars/trucks, while I don't have the budget for a vintage SS. I built this hornet based lexan bodied one last winter to use this summer. Once I installed some new tires and a better stock motor it was a blast at my families cottage on the beach.
  10. Hi. Just thought I'd post a picture or two of my lunch box. Like lots of 40+ guys on this and some other forms I wanted Tamiyas when I was a moneyless kid. Among other things I wanted a midnight pumkin. My brother got rehooked on rcs again last winter and in his ebay buying frenzey he ended up with both a pumkin and enough parts for a new lunchbox which I bought from him and built for myself. I don't run it much but it sure is a blast. I'm not big on box art models, I like to personalize them some. All the best thanks for looking. J
  11. Heres a final picture of the trailer with fenders added. Just needs some reflective tape and taillight lenses and it done. Put a quick hitch on my trail trucka and had a test drive in the living room.
  12. Looks like my dirty 1:1 Ranger. What size is it? I'd love to find one around here about the size of a blackfoot.
  13. Thanks for the kind words guys. I specificaly chose the rally blocks on highlift rims. I wanted a stock on road look for the tow rig. My TA02 based truck has a little larger tires. Here's the mini on the trailer, I didn't build the mini it was an e-bay purchase my brother gave me. The body was quite rough so I added some weathering and rust for a used look. The trailer isn't completed as yet.
  14. Hi, I'm new here and don't even know if this an appropriate place to post this,I'm sure someone will be glad to tell me if it's not. This is my latest project, I wanted to build something to haul my mini on the trailer I'm building so I modified an old TL01 chassis I had picked up cheap on e-bay and used a blackfoot body I had recently purchased. As the body was just like new I only modifiied the grill and gave it a quick paint job with some left over poly paint. Thanks for looking
  15. I like it !
