  1. Not a problem, I'll keep my eyes peeled for odds and ends
  2. I could do with some of those parts if you don't mind
  3. That's really disappointing to read, I hate the thought that you'd be singled out for being an Englishman and somehow everything's your fault and we should be voting Yes. I'm fully for Scottish Independence btw, but it's nothing to do with you, with "the English" or not wanting to be British. Rightly or wrongly, I think we would thrive if we were self governed. I voted No for Scottish Independence through fear last time and have regretted it ever since. I have family in England (well Newcastle so essentially Scottish) but would welcome anyone with a Welsh, Irish, Italian, French, Indian etc. accent to live and work here as well as our cousins South of the Border. I hate to say it Tony but you're one of us despite how you sound!
  4. They're a big improvement, they really do suit it
  5. Another hurdle fallen over - I bought a Grasshopper 2 the other night, I couldn't say no, £91 delivered. I had actually tried to buy ine at Time Tunnel in April 2020, during lockdown, to match my Mad Bull but accidently ordered a Grasshopper 1. Time Tunnel were great and offered a full refund but I knew I would buy one eventually so decided to keep it. Unfortunately I was too late and they were out of stock of the Grasshopper 2 at the time. If I can resist buying a Lunchbox Black Edition I'll be doing well...
  6. @TWINSETfor a long time I've considered getting into hydrodipping. I remember seeing it at a car show in Germany in 2005 or 2006 and being blown away by it. I think I'll dedicate an area of my work bench to a set up when I get it finished. Thanks for sharing the info
  7. I hate when that happens. Which it does occasionally for me too
  8. Still on the lookout for the right shell if anyone's got one for sale
  9. Still on the lookout for the right shell if anyone has anything for sale?
  10. They look great together, I hope youse have good fun racing round the garden
  11. Thanks all, one to avoid. I'm glad I asked
  12. @TurboRSR, thanks for the info. I do remember looking at repro stickers on MCI's website and seeing the 911 GT in red and sone others without any badges @lentner3 I'll dig out a photo of what I'm after and see if you have anything suitable, thank you
  13. As title really, I have my eye on a kit thats available from here but I don't recognise the name. The website looks well set up and they seem to have decent stock of Tamiyas and other brands. I know they're based in Jakarta but I think it's worth the risk using PayPal linked to my Credit Card. Has anyone dealt with them and had an order arrive in the UK?
  14. Still looking for one of these, quite happy for it to be a repro part if anyone knows of any available anywhere - MCI etc.
  15. This is one of the best threads I've seen on here! @wolfdogstinkusfor Prime Minister!!
  16. Cheers T! We're starting get a bit more TV time now and we'll be keeping it that way!
  17. So, I've fallen st the first hurdle... I bought a Merc 190e Diebels Alt shell from TC member @Juhunio and am also looking at a CC01 Amarok Thanks a lot TC!!
  18. @lentner3, good to see you posting again Christian
  19. I read this thread last night but didn't reply as i knew it would be a lengthy one. I have a personal interest in this type of thing, as well as experience since (as you know already) my eight year old daughter has an ultra-rare genetic condition that causes learning difficulties. She also has autistic features but is not actually autistic. I've found myself "having words" with people in the past when they've been rude to Emma, or ignored her, or been talking about her or stared. She is the most sociable person in the world but lacks confidence in approaching people / other kids so I tend to be her voice when she's out playing. @Saito2 the couple in the first interaction are just horrible people who aren't deserving of your daughter's time or energy. Unfortunately people like that are everywhere and as much as you want to protect her from it it's hard. I hope she stays happy and doesn't change herself to try and fit in with other peoples' idea of "normal" as she sounds brilliant the was she is. I'd have been happy to chat to her about RC all day!
  20. You could give them to me for safe keeping?
  21. Funnily enough I'm on ThumperTalk as well. I never post
  22. I can't stretch to a 2wd Saph these days. An RS3100 would be my share of our house! Worth it though
  23. I found very quickly that it's a slippery slope. Initially cheaper than RC cars but after some time costs mount up Thanks Martin! Hectic's right. Hard work so they are
  24. Thank you all for the replies, it's nice to be on back on the best forum on the Internet. @ACCELgood to see you're still here - have you finished your Buggyra truck and Knight / Grand Hauler yet? @Sgt.Speirsfour is a bit hectic eh?! What ages are your's? I have a girl at 8 and three boys - 5, 2 & 6 months so all still young. @Willy iinebelated welcome, it's brilliant here - so many helpful and enthusiastic members that can do some amazing things. @Saito2I saw you were still active here which is great. How are you getting on? How is your daughter doing? @svenb good to talk to you the other night, glad to see the Capri is progressing. I saw a mint mk3 the other day, just a 2.0 Laser but it was immaculate with a few tasteful mods. The guy was saying he has an RS3100 tucked away as well. Jealous is not the word I'm already struggling to not buy any other kits - been wanting a Lunchbox Black Edition for ages and have been planning to build a modded Sand Rover since 2019 and never started. Must. Resist.
