  1. Cheers Steven, good to see you're still here. Had the Cossies out much over the summer? @Badcrumbleit's funny how the Focus is sharpened when funds are tight eh?!
  2. Hello again all, I've been lurking here for the past few weeks but haven't wanted to post until i put a thread up. I don't think I've posted here in about a year and i haven't done anything RC related since at least October 2021, maybe even before. During the first UK lockdown i fell into a Lego rabbit hole. Just prior to the pandemic, whilst my wife was pregnant with baby number three, we went to Centre Parcs and to keep myself amused at night when everyone else was in bed early I bought some Lego Speed Champions sets. I really enjoyed building them and bought some more when we got home. As the lockdown started and we were all stuck at home (I was working, then eventually furloughed on full pay) I started buying more Lego kits including bigger Technic and Creator models. Birthdays, Christmases and Father's Days had my collection growing and I gave RC a back seat as I found I could dip in and out of Lego easily when the kids were about. We've since had baby number four (!) and as money is tight just now I've stopped buying new Lego kits as the ones I want are all brand new and cost over £120 each. So i found myself lurking back here. I had sort of imposed a ban on myself as I was spending a fortune on RC, mostly on new lexan bodies while they were available. I have a massive list of "wants" but I've decided to set myself a goal - I need to finish the various RC cars & trucks I already have before I buy any new more that are new to me. That's going to be hard as I really fancy a CC01 / 02 & a Grasshopper II but I'll resist as best I can until I make a dent in what I have as a backlog. Phew! now I can post on here again without feeling like I've just interrupted my way into a conversation. I see a lot of new names doing a lot of cool things so looking forward to more browsing. I also spotted a few familiar names still posting which is great to see. The only person I noticed that hasn't updated since I was last on is @ACCEL - are you still about buddy?!
  3. I love how this turned out! Top work as always.
  4. Wow. Just found this thread, and glad I did. I always loved your pics from the old garage but this is even better. So much for “not a modeler” @toyolien!
  5. @Tamiyabigstuff, brilliant - let me know how you get on.
  6. As with my Lunchbox shell wanted post i’m looking for a complete Pumpkin shell including all the grille, bumpers and roll bar parts. Used is fine but would prefer no cracks.
  7. Looking for a complete Lunchbox shell including all the grille, bumpers and side exhaust parts. Ideally an unpainted white shell for ease of painting but a special edition colour one would be alright at a push.
  8. I don’t think it’s Photobucket or Imgur that deleted the photos, I think Grandad Stinky went through and deleted his old posts one by one. I think @Wooders28 has him on Facebook still btw @Wooders28, my phone has been knackered for a full week now but i’ve been meaning to message you to see how things are.
  9. Hi all i’ve Taken the plunge and bought an m05 to build up a 2CV that I’ve been thinking about for a while. The last thing I need to buy is the body but I’m not sure if there is any difference between the rally body and the Charleston body. I know the bumpers differ and that in kit form the rally has an m05ra chassis but what about the actual polycarbonate moulds - do they differ? The idea I have in my head is for a paint scheme closer to the rally version, without the black of the Charleston, but with road car bumpers etc. can anyone confirm all the differences, if any, between the bodies please? thanks
  10. Thanks @Doc Hollywood, @stuhas & @toyolien The RC4WD body looks like the exact thing i'm after. I want to make a panoramic rear screen, similar to the Savage cars but I don't want it lookng too Bowler Wildcat so that looks like it'll tick the box. Are the proportions in line with the Tamiya PC shell?
  11. I'm looking for suggestions for a hard body Defender to suit a CC01 or CC02 chassis. All Tamiya ones are polycarbonate as far as I'm aware and as I plan to cut it up a bit to make a custom I can't use the Tamiya kit one. I would also like the scale to be as close to the Tamiya body as possible. I saw a Killerbody hard body online earlier but unsure of the size despite it stating 1/10 scale. Any suggestions would be much-appreciated. I'm looking at you @JennyMo!
  12. As title really. Can you buy R32, R33 & R34 bodyshells (and spoilers/mirrors/stickers) without having to buy a full TT01/02 kit? I've had a look online and on eBay and can't see much other than full kits but I'm sure I saw them all on their own before.
  13. what's the planned shell for this one?
  14. After seeing your painted shell with the clear rear deck I've decided to buy myself an Aqroshot as well ☺
  15. That's a really good design but very pricey. Are you tempted?
  16. Yeah, that looks spot-on to me. Love the Countach, so much so that I looked into buying one myself
  17. Looking forward to this and any other wtcc bodies too
  18. @Ferruz you, sir, are an animal!
  19. Looking forward to seeing how that turns out, sounds like the right move with the nose extension
  20. I love the colour, it really suits it and I'm no fan of yellow
  21. All Thank you for the replies. @JeffSpicolihit the nail on the head with the ones in the eBay link. Although they don't have the 4 studs they're exactly right and from looking at some pics of 1:1 wheels the lack of studs will look better as the single centre nut will look like the centre cap. So thanks, Jeff 👍🏻 @ChrisRx718, thanks for the info. The Skyline wheels are lovely but far too much for what I'm after. The others you posted (with the 4 studs) I actually have on another chassis sporting an 80's touring car shell. You're right, the spokes are much flatter than what I'm after. Regarding the MST wheels, they're lovely, and it's good to know for the future that they exist in 5 stud, but that fact is what stops me buying them. Once again, thank you all for your replies, links and suggestions - as always on here - ask a question, get an answer. Kevin
