Do you lads think that in time to come lexan bodys will ever be worth nib as much as hard bodys are gong for at the moment?

Im not going to stop winging and wining thanks. Customs charges in my opinion are far to high. what exactly are we paying for anyway? Are we paying for someone to stand there and charge us money? After all I dont see how an item can travel thousands of miles for a few quid then beeing charged stupid money to go through one building. I know customs officers are under a lot of pressure with recent events but the prices were just as high before all of this.

That is the reson why I think the lads thought that stuff from tower hobbies was charged because they put on the parcel how much you payed. But in the case of the two parcels for my mate they both got through and they arrived two or three days apart. Im also confused by customs charges and I hoped that we may be able to get some sort of pattern by the messeges posted here.

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on customs charges [!]? We were having a conversation in the chat room the other night and a few of the lads think that customs charges go on size and value. But in my case anyway out of about 12 items Ive only ever been charged twice. One time for a 1:18 scale diecast car worth $30, and another time for a watch worth around £60. But Ive had £60 body shells, wheels, and loads of spares come from the states and other places around the world and never paid a penny []. In the chat it was also said that ordering from tower hobbies always ment you would have to pay customs charges. My mate in this last week has had two things from there; a body worth £40, and wheels worth £30, and he was charged nothing. Does anyone think like me that customs officers pick parcels at random rarther than bigg/expencive ones? I am just thinking of the time it would take to look at the price of every item rarther than just picking every other parcel up and charging it.

Can anyone give me any tips on painting. I am expecting a Juggernaut 2 body within the next few weeks. And Ive been looking through the Jugg manual and see there is a lot of detail work needs to be done using paint [8)]. Ive never been very good doing small areas with a brush [:I] and was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on the right and wrong ways to do it? This may be a stupid question. But why would you want to put a motor out of i drill in an rc car? Why not forget the drill and go straight for the washing machine motor.

Just wondering. As my mate comes to this site now and again (hes not a paying member) His farther whoes computer he uses took his machine for an anual check and it was found that his machine had a virus [xx(]and the company had tracked it back to this site [xx(]. I dont know details but could ask if needed []. Im not to hot an computers so i dont know if this could happen from this site [:I]? Thanks []

Well my mate uses his dads computer and his dad took it in for an anual check. The guy said that his computer had got a virus from this site. I never really asked any questions so i dont know if he was mistaken. But just thought I would mention it so as to tell me mate yes possible or no not. [?]

Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I know we have been having some problems with the chat room lately, but this has been going on for me for a few weeks. Im chatting away in the chat room as normal then all of a sudden I write a messege, go to send it and.... nothing.. so I log on again and I canrt get back in. It very frustraing.

Im sorry this has nothing to do with rc cars, but real ones. It was the day before I was going to spain on holiday. My girlfriend wanted a few things from the town centre. Silly me thinks we will only be 15 mins im not paying £1.50 to park in the proper car park Ill just park on the street it will be ok. (leaving £650.00 travelers cheques in the car[:I]) any way, when we come back I pressed the button on my key ring and the car made an unusuall three beebs, which I hadnt heard before. On closer inspection I find a sticker on the window saying all your belongings have been took to the local police station, and my door lock no longer there and door in a sorry state. Having no idea what the police had got and the thief had taken we went to the police station where we were told that a member of the public had seen some 14 year old boys hanging around my car. the police arrived as they were braking into it. But said they knew who it was and decided to protect my car rarther than chase the theif. After finding finger prints on my car, cctv video of him doing it! He was let off with no charge???? He had been bared from the city centre, and if he was caught there he would be on a charge, because of other offences. So the little s@%t went round the outside of the town centre. Beacause the police had seen him braking in he didnt get anything. But as I was 21 year old at the time claiming on the insurance for a full new door and full set of door locks wasnt an option and had to pay myself. (over £1000) It really is unfair. But can anyone see it getting any batter?????????? I mean come on guys why do we all work for a living? We can all just go out and brake into peoples homes and cars and get away with it! three or four nights a week. And all we get is a slap on the hand and free methadone and neddles...

Well mate its all down to high you rate your time. Selling a nice looking car all finished and making some good cash is one thing but if your spending all your time doing it, that is another. A hobby is something you enjoy doing in the spare time that you have. But if it starts to eat into all your time you have to make your mind up weather it is worth it.
