Do any of you know if you can capture an image from a vhs video and some how get it into a computer program so that you can print it off on to a poster? I am sure this is possible but do any of you have the equipment or know of anywhere that would be able to do it?

31.95612mph to be exact. [][8D][] Yes used the wrong paint and when it crashed all the paint fell off.

Well here is a good one. I order all my parts direct from the Schumacher web site. This site keeps a log of all your transactions. Between me and my mate over the past 6 month we have spent £567.22 in spare parts (none of which were for the engine itself apart from an exhaust manifold which i bent), although i do have quite a big bag full of new parts its still a badword of a lot of money. You can see one afternoons fun and destruction in my showroom. With any luck the menace wont use as many parts. There isnt much it or i can hit on a feild i hope. But im bound to be proved wrong.[]

Well to be honest my driving skills arnt to good[:I] and with the fusion I needed alot of space. But im sure if it was driven by a proffesional and set up correctly you could drive it on any track. After all just because the power is there you dont have to use it. I hardly ever got out of second gear where as my mate can hit third in the same amount of space all comes down to skill level realy and im the first to admit that i havent got much of that.[:I][]

My menace can run for about 9 mins on a full tank of fuel. I have never been to a race meeting before, other than the one me and a few freinds make at the weekend. But the nitro cars are just electric chassis with a nitro instead of electric motors. The fusion and menace and most other nitro cars have some sort of braking system other than relying on the motor to brake in the case of the menace and fusion they have disc brakes so all in all i dont see any reson why a nitro car wouldnt handle as well as an electric one around a track infact as it has the top end speed it would probably dominate.

Painting it a bright colour should help you. I only noticed when I painted the body on my fusion black how hard it was to tell which way round it was.

No not really just dont let it go to far away. []

I got my menace on Saturday. And the wheels are going to be the first thing to go as they are, well, not very good. But the hex is bigger than the normal hex of wheels. Anyone know any other trucks use this bigger hex so I can get some new wheels as Schumacher only sell the replacement wheels at the moment.

Thanks for your help guys. You lads and lasses never fail to impress me! [^][^] I am not to keen on painting as I dont own an air brush. And also I think sending the parts to the usa could end up costing me a fortune. As for the place in South Shields I will give them a ring, with them being local I may be able to purswade them.[] Sorry for my spelling again guys and girls.[:I] And thanks again! [^]

Thanks Fury Dice but it seems these people are heading in the way of painting rarther than plating. Seems like it is going to be hard to find somewhere in the uk.

Someone may have asked this before but having searched for chrome and getting 133 pages back I thought I would ask anyway.[:I] Does anyone know of a place in england or even Northeast England that will chrome plate metal and plastic parts? And also roughly how much it would cost (say something the size of a computer mouse, not that im thinking of chrome plating my mouse. Just using it as an example). I see alot of people have chrome parts on there cars. I know some of these are bought like this but some of you seem to be able to get normal parts chromed. I have contacted a few places but they dont seem very interested in taking on small jobs such as this.

Just in my opinion I think the way we are doing it now is good. And its simple to understand. As Netsmith said it would be alot more agro getting people to vote over and over again. But again this is just my humble opinion.[:I]

Well after spending a good few hours with it on Sunday morning i give my mate a go. He slammed it into a car tyre at about 40mph and the shell didnt even crack i was so suprised. Seems asif it is going to be alot stronger than the fusion. By the way it has three gears. []

Need some advice!
dhes2809 replied to Big Al(2)'s topic in Off-Site sales plugs, tips & gossip - Including eBay, Gumtree etc.
Have you tried the 'Contact us' thing on the left hand side of the help screen? Ive had a quick read and it sounds as if you fill in a complaint form. You can report a fraud concern. Not sure if this is fraud but it sounds like it to me. Hope this helps you mate. People like her shouldnt be allowed to trade on ebay. The shipping fees on ebay are starting to get out of control and alot of people are overcharging but when you want the item I guess you have to live with it like me. -
I will try not to.[] The main reson I got it, is because the fusion was so fast there was no where big enough to take it without wrecking it. The menace can be taken almost anywhere.

I have just bought a Schumacher Menace at the weekend, and Schumacher claim that this buggy will do 70mph. It has the same 21 size 3.5 horse power Thunder Tiger engine that is in the Fusion touring car which I also have, which is claimed to be able to do 80mph. Although I cannot confirm these speeds with any proper testing equipment. What I can say is that by sight alone these things must be getting close to the claimed speeds of schumacher. I really carnt see how any electric car will keep up with these. Not when your out on the tarmac or grass watching these things go.

Really glad im still in. Thanks to whoever voted for me. You have to admit boys and girls going through the pics in the award section so much hard work has gone into everyone's models and they are all fantastic regardless who wins. Would like them all here in a display cabinet.

Everyone please forgive me for my spelling. I try to use big words, but ive just finished the Janet and Jane books. So ive just started on big letters I always thought that B was said bur not Bee. English was never my strong point.[:I][:I]

So far I think this debate is going realy well. No one is getting ratty. But as far as noise goes unless your running your car in the same place day after day, after day, people shouldnt really be complaining. If they do, it should never come to Police or Councils getting involved. (And never the case of having your car taken away). If you get a compliant you simply dont go there again. Which I suppose is in the favour of electric. What I have found time and time again is people who have had electric and get a nitro. When the money comes along for a new car they will never buy an electric. I realy was stuck on electric, saying I would never buy nitro. Since then Ive bought two brand new nitros and zero electric. Trying to control and race at 70mph is such a thrill I carnt go back.

OK?

This thread was asking "how did nitro dominance happen?" Nitro engines arnt just in monster trucks. They are in touring cars and buggys and round a track electric wouldnt stand a chance. As for cost you could have a very comptative nitro buggy for £400. If you spent £400 on an electric car you would still not get anywhere near the performance. And then you have to carry all your battery packs and when they run out you go home and leave the nitros to play for the rest of the day. As for work you need to do? all that you need to do is clean it (if it gets dirty) just like an electric car.
