I always said I would never buy a nitro car for the same resons that people have already said, Unreliable, Wont start etc. But when I was out with my electric car one day and heard what sounded like off road bikes around the corner. I had to investigate. What I found was not bikes, but a few lads with nitro cars. When I seen them go I had to have one. I was standing there with one battery left. These lads were pulling in, fueling up, and back out they went. So I got a Schumacher Fusion. You take it out of the box. Put the radio gear in and your off doing '70MPH' it handles like a dream, starts with a drill first time, and if you can handle the power your out all day. I really carnt see the compition between Nitro and electric. Electric for me has far to many diadvantages than Advantages.

Can anyone tell me as far as this club goes, is Carson, Tamiya? I mean if I was to buy a Carson could the model number be classed as a tamiya? [?]

I think this is a really good thing. Its made me look at cars and showrooms which I would normally not have come accross. Good idea. Keep up the goodwork![]

Hi again Guys. Can any of you give me an idea of some good tyres? I have a schumacher Fusion and as it does over 60 MPH it is screading tyres,[!] if not sreading them its ripping them off the rims.[!] Im looking for some tyres that you dont have to replace every time out, but that grip quite well.[] I realise that grip and length of life dont go hand in hand but there must be somewhere in the middle? Even ready glued tyres on rims would do if anyone is selling? Anyone got any ideas? Well i know you guys do you never fail to help out.[] Thanks Dave.[]

Yes I have a failsafe and the car im using a Schumacher Fusion so it already has a throttle return spring but thanks anyway. []

Yes thanks but I was realy wanting something I could just mount on the car that would be there all the time and I could just keep an eye on it. I dont know if anything like this has even been made but thought the tamiyaclub guys would help me out.

Hi Guys! I was wondering if anyone knows of anything that can tell you when your batteries are going flat in your nitro car? Mine has four AA batteries to power the receiver and two servoes but I was wondering if there was a device out there that could give you an idea of how much power they have left much like on your hand set? Yes thats the one thanks. The ebay auction is in German so I dont understand most of it but I did make out the chasiss is the TL-01. Im guessing by the body this must be a newish model.

Has anyone heard of this model before Mondeo V8? The full car is on ebay at the moment and the description says it is made by Tamiya. And by the detail of the body I would say it is too. Does anyone know if tamiya made this body or not and where I can get one?(this isnt the BTCC Mondeo). Thanks David.

The car I entered into the member awards has started to decompose it has took so long for the votes to get counted.

Do we really need to get worked up this much over something like this? All it is. Some people think the prices people ask for some items are a little over the top. And from then on these items tend to stay at this high price. If we all bought and sold things at a resonable price wouldnt it be better for us all at the end of the day? This "no silly prices" phrase is used loads in autotrader and all it means is that you are willing to pay a reasonable price for the item and not an exaggerated one, as it just so happens there is none of the item around at the moment.(and you can say what you like but 99% of the time both parties know roughly what the item is really worth e.g a body shell is a peice of plastic but some go for nearly £200) And if people dont contact people simply because someone has said 'no silly prices'. The person is obviously not confident about the value, or the price they are asking for that item. All that is happening is that people simply carnt afford the hobby as it is getting so expencive is that what we really want? If people want to buy these items at such a high price that is fine by me, but my idea of a 'bargan' is getting something cheap.
