He is selling these on ebay as new items. If he hasnt got them in stock he shouldnt be advertising them for sale let alone putting more up on ebay for sale before he has sent out existing orders.. He has now contacted my mate which is good. His grumble wasnt exactly because he never got his body it was because he sent many emails with no reply. I know he is a mate of a few people in here but you have to admit if you didnt know him like we dont and you were tret the same from anyone else on ebay you wouldnt be happy either. After all you waited 5 days to get a reply my mate waited nearly 4 weeeks. Ive seen bad feedback left for people for a lot less. I think he has a little reason to 'grumble' dont you?
Anyway he has made contact now so hopefully it will all get sorted now. [^]

Yeah thanks for that Daz. I just need to convince my mate to wait.

It is isnt it?
Dont go down on the boy racers to much though. Most of these kids carnt afford to go to 'spoon' so they go to halfords. after all we were all once a boy racer infact most of us still are. Nower days they put 22" rims on there cars where as most of us on here jacked the leaf springs up on the back of our Mk2 Escorts.
Now we can insure a fast car rather than buy a slow car and make it look fast.
Anyway although some of these Max Power cars arnt to everyones taste what they lack in power they make up for in work done in the body shop. the work that must go into some of the kits and paint jobs these lads have are brilliant.
Gran tourismo is no better anyway you start off with a cheap car and try and get as much out of it as you can till you can afford something better.
As for GT4 I wont beleave anything I read till I see it on the shelf in the shops. Its stupid that it should take so long after they have said it would be ready. There must have been something went badly wrong for them to go over a year over time.

I should be renewing my subscription at the end of the week as it has been expired for a few weeks now. How much does it cost to run a site like this? Its just with that amount of paying members it works out at around 5 grand or so a year is that how much it costs to run a web site? I had no idea it was so costly.
-
I was just wondering does anyone know how many paying subscribers tamiyaclub.com has at the moment?

Im thinking of selling the one in my showroom. Its not new but it was when I got it and its never been ran. Its been well painted but could be stripped. all the body parts are there mirrors windows ect. If your interested let me know how much you would give me for it.

They are a really nice body I have two in my showroom but can I ask? Why do you want 6?

Is it not the case that as a seller you know that you are going to be charged 5% and should take this into account when selling your stuff? Like when your buying somthing in a shop you dont look at the price and then have to work out how much tax to pay. The price you see is the price you pay. Which is why in my opinion ebay and paypal have left it up to the seller to work out. I do aggree totaly that 5% is a very high amount to pay But it is because they have you backed in a corner if you dont like it dont use ebay but what else can you use? They are like insurance companys they carnt loose.

There is also a product called G3 which is used by paint sprayers to flatten the paint after a car has been respayed. It is quite abrasive, but it will bring the colour back. All thats happened is that the top coat of paint on your clio has oxodised and the boot lid has probably be replaced or painted at some point and hasnt oxodised as much. You need to remove that top skin of oxodised paint and get back down to new paint, this stuff will do it but be carefull as if you rub it for to long especially on corners you will go through the paint and into the primer but you would have to rub it for a long time to go through but its possible that someone else may have been doing this before. If the car is metalic you could also have problems as it will have a coat of laquer and is harder to get back to origional colour you will get G3 or something like it from a trade car paint shop. or even halfords sells it i think. I know this works as a mate of mine dad parked his pink escort outside his garage and me and my mate set about it with some G3 an hour later it was deep bright red.

Anyone have any idea how much it costs tamiya to buy the rights from the car companys they base there models on? Its just they dont seem to bring as many up to date road cars out anymore. It seems now they are mostly race cars with big spoilers and body kits rarther than the normal road car. I for one would love it if they would bring models like the new BMW M3 CSL or the Audi RS6. When I buy a new body I tend to look for one that I can paint a normal colour and one that looks as close to the road car as posible, but when you have things like the Tamiya calibra you have no chance of ever making it look normal. I know in the past models like the VW Golf V5 were sold along with the real thing in the dealers do you think this was part of the deal with VW. "Yes you can copy our car but we want a couple of thousand to sell in our showrooms"

Yip happened to me last week someone askes how much to ship overseas so i went to the post office found out replied to the guy and never heard from him again we had sent several emails between ourselves before hand asking questions and so on. It must of been the fact that it was going to cost him £2 to ship a £35 item. Craaaazzyyy.

I think one of the main reasons for a topic being locked is differences of opinion can start to get out of hand, and its best to stop it early. The best way of avoiding a topic being locked I think is to read all the posts before putting something in there yourself to make sure your not saying something that has already been said. and take other peoples opinion and interests into account or you can upset people, which can start the ball rolling. I am guilty myself of some heated replys but only when people think there opinion is not just an opinion its the law.

Well he is very lucky and I guess unlucky too. Of all the cars that could have done that it had to be one of them didnt it. Bet the repair bill and crane hire wont be cheap.

So what horse power has a hedge hog got then?

Must say I use WD-40 all the time on my cars. But then again most of them are getting used all the time. But I have used it on all my shelf queens and they seem ok. Have only stood there for a few month though.
